Having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart. Ephesians 4:18
And to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Colossians 1:9
As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine, nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith. Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm. 1 Timothy 1:3-7
The teachings of the Lord are strong and good and obvious to those who have his Spirit. But to the ones who do not, it is nonsense. And people have some Spiritual understanding to different levels, depending on different factors. It may be because of a church they go to which teaches the law, or it may be they are atheist. In my experience in dealing with atheist, many are very well educated in the bible. They have done their research and came to the conclusion there is no God and the bible is a story book, a fairy tale. But they also practice the law better than most people who claim to follow the Lord (or is should be said follow their version of the man they call Jesus Christ).
The problem comes down really to one thing. They never received the Spirit. The son did not promise a bible to speak to us through. He did not promise us a church system which would teach us truth. He did not say because he died for our sins he would stand against the Father on our behalf as a lawyer and defend us in our sin against the Father. He did not say God will pretend he no longer sees your sin when you say the sinners prayer. He did not say change the words in the bible over time to adjust to the times and man’s theology. He did not say when you sin, because you will always be a sinner, go to confession.
The list goes on with the stupidity taught these days in the church system. And we are so programed in the system to tell people what their itching ears want to hear, although these days we call it being “politically correct.” That it is impossible to hear and then understand the things of God, because the things of God are anything but politically correct and will never tell you what you want to hear.
The Lord keeps reminding me of the conversation with my sister and wife regarding my oldest daughter and how I stood in the truth, the truth which if my older daughter would listen to, would set her free, it would help her in finding the peace she is seeking after. It is very true I did not give easy words to hear and accept. But easy words they want to hear only serve to keep you in the sin and dysfunction which comes from it.
She keeps having relation problems with men, the reason is she has the same spirit as her mother, one of lying and deception. You cannot build a good relationship on this foundation, it is impossible. She has a lot of good things about her, but this keeps destroying the relationship in the end.
My sister and wife’s theology say I cannot bluntly say this to her, and why she will not see me. And there is truth to that. So it is a decision on my part, do I want to tell my daughter the lies, that it is OK and you will find the right man who will allow your lies and deception and you can build a good strong relationship with it? Or just ignore it and pretend it did not happen when she lies?
Here is the other part, we share in the sins of our family, why? Because we stay there and accept it. As said before, my sister told me “Jesus would never say anything like that.” But would he or not?
This is the problem with religious doctrine these days, because if you really hear the Spirit of truth and when reading the bible seek the truth, the words of Yeshua will stand out. And you will find he never told anyone what they wanted to hear, never soft easy going words. He is always blunt and in truth which cuts like a double edged sword…
And this is the problem, we want to believe so badly that God understand us and do things our way, and not his. His ways are tough to hear and digest in life, and they isolate you from others. Because others want to be OK in their sin and think it is OK, we all sin and fall short right?
Yes, every man in the flesh does fall short and sin, but every man who truly is seeking truth will find it in Yeshua and be set free from sin “IF” they listen to him and his Spirit and obey.
Yeshua promised the Spirit, and the thing of the Spirit is to give us understanding. Look back at the verses above, and even go to gateway bible and put in understanding and see what verse come up and how they are written. You will find this same point over and over and over, men cannot come to understand the ways of God without really knowing the Spirit. Which means you hear him and obey him. Many religions change what it means to have the Spirit and many make it as simple as saying s sinners prayer. And some make it where you will not have a Spirit of God until the next life. There are many different teachings on this.
So where did they come from? Because of many things, but all of it comes back to one thing, they did not come to the understanding of God because they make it about other things, and do not come to know the Spirit of Truth. Yeshua has shown me many times before and will again I am sure. But go back to the bible when it was being written, Paul, Peter, John, James… All these men were already telling how man was on the wrong track, changing the doctrine to suit their itching ears. Yeshua told John as recorded in Revelations 2 and 3 about the 78 churches and how wrong most were already.
Then came the real changes in the 300 Ad times where they change the name of Yeshua to Jesus Christ and brought in many false teachings trying to incorporate other religions with Yeshua. So many of our traditions like christmas and easter come from this, as does worshiping saints and Mary with the catholic church system. And anyone who stood up to the lies and changes was feed to the lions or other brutal deaths. You make them comply, and or kill the ones who won’t so the ones left will believe the lie over time. In most things this works, we see it today. How can people not see the system is killing us with trash foods, air pollution, water pollution, drug pollution. All these toxics in our lives both physically and mentally (like the example of my daughter). And we accept them as OK and even to the point where we criticize anyone who sees the truth and does not practice them. Many people have been put to death because of trying to show the truth to help other people not fall into the trap. Ewe just do not see the trap we are in. How sick most people are today and how they keep running back to the same so called experts who created the sickness in you to begin with. Instead of telling you truth to stop eating all the sugar and trans fat and other things which are making you sick, they simply give you some drugs which have numerous side effects and eventually will leave you worse. Instead of simply telling you to not eat what they make, eat real natural foods like God intended.
We have to open our eyes and see this stuff, all lead by satan and the antichrist. We make our leaders, both political and religious our word. We make our doctors our word. We make a bible which has been changed so many times over now it no longer really says the same thing as what was originally written, our word. We make what we learn in school and read on facebook our word.
Point is we believe in everything else except the word who we ignore unto our death and eternity in hell. No one who hears and obeys the words of men over the words of Yeshua will be saved, no matter how much you did in your church, how much time you spend there, how much time you read your bible… These are all works not of God, and are not good works, they are evil in his sight because they again make us to believe the lies, like what I told earlier with my daughter. Now many probably stopped reading this back then as you thought this guy is crazy, of course God wants us to maintain a relationship with our kids. And yes he does want it as do I! But at what cost?
A truly righteous relationship begins in the truth of God. If you do not hear and obey him in truth it will not end well and you will share in the sin, it will affect you. The Lord reminded me also of two times in my real estate career where I had to make decisions to either turn my back and ignore or accept sinful behavior in some relationships or stand up to them and probably lose what I had. I choose both times to stand up and both times I lost what I had. Once a relationship with a brokerage and then went out on my own. The other a relationship selling for a developer. It is hard to say if I would have made more money or not if I just kept my mouth shut. Because the Lord has blessed me beyond measure and money is not a problem or a driving factor in my life. I believe deep down I would not have fared as well if I stayed in the lie and dysfunction. But either way, God blessed me and I do not have to deal with the dysfunction. I see the same with my older daughter, if she was in my life with her lies and deception it would ruin my new family life, no questions. As said over and over and taught by Yeshua if you make him your teacher and not anyone or anything else. You will know you must build your life on the corner stone, on him and his truth. And you must protect that above all things, if you do not sin abounds. If you protect it then sin has nothing to do with you and you will not be always learning and never come to an understanding. In Yeshua you will come to an understanding because his Spirit will help you.
Yeshua told the disciples clearly, you cannot understand now because you do not have the Spirit, but when I send him, he will lead you into all understanding. And that is the point, do you hear and obey the Spirit or men teachers of a made up god and of the world?
