True grace

“My grace is enough for you, for my power is brought to perfection in weakness.”  2 Corinthians 12:9

I was reading through Ecclesiastes chapter 4-6 and many deep thinking things Solomon said.  I do not even know why verses to post because pretty much all of it is to make the point.  And that point is how crazy this life is.  I will post chapter 4:2-3 “So I considered the dead happier, because they were already dead, than the living, who must still live their lives; but happier than either of them is the one who has not yet been born, because he has not yet seen the evil things that are done under the sun.”

I feel like that almost daily these days.  I also read about Paul and how he suffered, and sometimes wonder why?  Yeshua got many of the other disciples out of prison, like Peter, so why did he allow Paul to be beaten and stoned to the point of death many times?

Yet Paul was always singing to God in prison instead of crying.  The only answer I have is that it is because of discipline from God.  We will be punished according to our works, which goes against the doctrine of many churches.  But it does not make it any less true.  It is the truth which sets you free and saves you, not your man made doctrine.

Paul also spoke of the thorn in his side and the adversaries messenger beating him with it over and over.  These things are gotten rid of through suffering not through enjoyment and good times.  If you are doing something wrong, where the adversary and his messengers or demons have their way with you because of some door you opened years earlier.  And the Lord told you what they teach about grace, that you do not need to change, that is not the purpose of God.  The purpose is only to say you belong to him, yet do not obey him.  Then what are you going to do to overcome that sin and dysfunction?  Because that sin is taking your peace and joy.

Over the past two days I had a lot of teaching, which basically ties into this message from Solomon about why live?  We would be better off if we were never born.

The first one was yesterday we were at a birthday party out in the wine country here in Mexico.  A really cool location and obviously high end cost.  It was a friend’s 50th birthday, they had really good food, including fresh coconuts when we arrived.  Unlimited drinks, both a DJ and live music.  Many people taking pictures and videos.  They spent some serious money.  It was kind of fun, I enjoy going to the valle, and I enjoy going to high end places like this, although I hate paying for them.  And we stayed way too long, I asked my wife to leave much earlier than we did, but we did not leave.

But there were a couple of messages from this party.  The first one was about things Solomon wrote about and leaving a n inheritance to the kids.  And more so a common saying we use, the first generation makes the money and the second blows it, then the third makes it again.   Even today Solomon spoke of how foolish it is to leave work hard, save up and leave it to the kids who blow it.

As I watch this couple, they are selling off land the father had accumulated to live a lifestyle of the rich and famous.  They travel all over, go out to eat daily, drink a lot, and through pirates like this.  It sounds like a great life, but is it?  Personally I would not want it, I like the fact I moved to Mexico in debt as I had around $80,000 in debt and $2,000 in my bank account.  And I worked to get rid of the debt and turn it into a very nice nest egg where we do not have to work anymore.  Yet instead of starting to spend it foolishly, I still want to work and be right with God. Remember Yeshua speaking of the man who had a great harvest and said to himself, “self, kick back and take it easy, you have enough.”  But that man’s life was called from him that very night.

As I watch this couple, I can see it is ruining their health and mental life.  No purpose to speak of.  And they are not even all that bad, they do some things.

The second point the Lord made to me was in prophecy where he reminded me of the verse that says up to the day, they will be getting and giving into marriage.  Basically partying like it is 1999.  That was the point the Lord was making.  When the end comes we will not see recessions and depressions the times before.  Yes there will be financial problems, some come quickly, and others sneak up slowly.  But the main point is people will still be partying like it is 1999 one day and the next running to the hills or suffering heavily from many things because of the end of times, or whatever we are going through if it is not the end of times.  There are going to be some very difficult times ahead of us.  This is going to be something very serious, we are at a BIG crossroads in the national debt in the USA, and someone has to pay it.  I just do not know if the US debt will take down the world with it, or if the rest of the world just takes over.  I think it is going to be the second one.  But even so there are going to be a lot of hungry people all over the world because of what trump (not the US people) has done in Iran, and the retaliation of Iran all over the middle east, which has severely destroyed the flow of oil.

This is driving up gas and more so diesel fuel prices.  And the farmers cannot afford to harvest the crops and the truck drivers cannot afford to deliver anything.  These two groups of workers are responsible for much of our food.

BUT, I do not see this problem everywhere in the world.  Where I live in Mexico, we have plenty of our own oil and we produce more food than we eat and are net exporters.  We have many other natural resources to fall back on.  And I see a lot of things happening in the brics countries which is making them a serious threat to dominate the world economy going forward, especially China.

But nonetheless, the verse still was in my head at the party about man doing these things up to the last minute before things really got bad.  As of right now, we are not ready for it, we are further ahead than many people who have done nothing, as we have bought ranch land.  But we have not planted trees, or a garden or set up things for animals.  Bor are we 100% done with the well for water.

On to the next thing that happened, our sister in law called and was upset with Cinthya’s brother because he did not go with her and their daughter to check her into college for the first time.  It sounds like he stayed up and partied last night and slept in instead of going.

The point I made to our sister in law was to focus on herself and leave him to God.  I gave her a fairly long message, but the main point is when people do things to me and I get upset, the Lord is making the point back to me, you focus on me and what I am doing to you to teach you.  Let me take care of the other person who did you wrong.

This is a message which can piss people off because most people only want to hear sympathy and cry with you in your pain.  But she took it good and said it helped her to move on and not be upset and crying over it, no matter how much it hurt her and their daughter.

These two messages do not have a lot to do with each other, but then at some point in the near future the Lord will probably tie them together.  Even if they do not, they are both very good messages of how the Lord works and what he expects from the ones who follow him.  And how the world is, which can take away our focus on God.

The one point of both stories that is the same is this, it is not about what you are experiencing, a good time or a bad time.  But are you right with God in either so you learn from him in either setting?  And then be able to share what you learned to others when the opportunity comes, so they come to know the ways of God and hopefully seek him as well.

The other point I made to my sister in law (who I see more as a daughter as she is the age of my older girls).  Is that this is the way God works.  He is not a religious god that we read about and live a life separate from.  He is a God who allows bad and difficult things into our lives so he can teach us his ways.  I told her once again, her catholic religious beliefs will not save her, working out what God works in her through situations like this, and then seeking him will.  And no matter what anyone does to her, if she remains in God she will remain in his peace and joy.  The things of the world will NOT touch you and his peace if you remain focused on him.

This is also a message  of how the truth sets you free.  If we would have just given our sister in law the sympathy, and agreed with her the way most people want, she would still be upset and not have God’s peace.  It sounds like she got some peace because of her comments.

When your doctrine is changed from a worldly doctrine which keeps you in the sin and dysfunction, to the true doctrine in Yeshua.  Then things start to happen for the good in your life.  Your focus changes and so do your results.

I find it very sad, and I pity those who remain in their own doctrine and remain a captive to sin because of it.  Arguing against the truth in Yeshua which would set them free, and choosing to remain apart from God and in sin.  And then somehow believing in their minds they are good with God and on their way to heaven in their sinful state.

God’s will is to set us free from the bondage of sin, make us Holy and in doing so give us a good life.  He is not a god who just pretends everything is good because you give him a bone on Sunday, and you remain a captive.  Yeshua came to set the captives free, and he has with those of us who seek him and his truth.
