Now the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God – to him they are nonsense! Moreover he is unable to grasp them, because they are evaluated by the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:14
After the past few days talking with my aunt and trying to get her to understand why I refuse to help my dad practice evil in the eyes of God, and with everything she said to me, me replying with truth as recorded in the bible. And her telling me my dad needs this spirituality, and in her mind religion is spirituality. So then today God gives me these verses. I guess as a reminder how it is and why she cannot see the truth!?!? Because the things of the Spirit are nonsense to those who are perishing. They cannot receive it, it is like me talking to her in Spanish, she would not understand a thing. Maybe Hola, and adios. But not much more.
It is not exactly like this because the Spirit speaks to you in your own language, although he also will speak through you in tongues which for me seems to be in Hebrew. Whatever it is in I do not know, and most of the time I do not know what is being said. Sometimes the Spirit shares with me the just of it. But not always. So the problem is not the difference in languages, the difference is in the doctrine. Using the religion of catholic and what they teach about spirituality, which indicates it is one and of the same. They also always say the catholic faith, so in their mind faith and their religion is the faith of God. But there is nothing biblical to indicate these things at all, and actually the opposite.
Here is the main point of the Lord today, we must be seeking. Seeking the truth of God. Men in the flesh do not want the truth, they have many other mechanisms to use to avoid the truth and light of God. While making themselves feel like they are good and worthy of the Holiness of God. But they are not.
Please read all of Isaiah % where he is speaking of a man who bought some land to plant a vineyard, excellent land, and he bought the best grape vines and did the work he should have to produce the best wine, yet it produced sour grapes.
Isaiah used this example to speak of the religious people of that day, and what God was going to do with them. We do not seem to understand that we must produce good works, righteous works. They cannot be unrighteous.
The Lord gave me a quick glimpse into heaven and why we as men will not be in heaven. The glimpse was more of what is here, what I am dealing with in the people. The ones demanding everything for themselves, doing things their own way and not producing good works because of it. Many are doing the opposite of what God expects, while thinking they are doing good because they lie to themselves and believe the lies of the enemy whom they follow, yet somehow think they are following God. And then they lash out at you like my aunt did and say you are following satan only because you do not agree with them and their doctrine. Which as said before is the unpardonable sin. Using my aunt some more for the example, I see her praying to Mary and the saints, and calling the Holy Spirit an evil one because what the Spirit reveals does not line up with her doctrine. There is nothing more evil in the sight of God than having idols and more so calling the Holy Spirit and his truth evil.
Yet in the eyes of my family who are all catholic, she is a great person. And as far as men are concerned, she is. But it is sheer evil in the eyes of God, and will not be welcome into his Kingdom, which should be the goal of everyone shouldn’t it?
The second quick glimpse the Lord gave me was my wife and what she is doing, and how she is lying to herself thinking she is the good one and I am not. But more so when I confront her with the truth, how she denies it, ignores it, lies some more about it, and basically just talks really loud or screams at me so she does not have to hear the truth. Because she has no answer for the truth. She wants only to believe her own ideology and push it so she looks like the most important one that everyone needs to come to because she has all the answers. She hates to look wrong, as if someone else has a better idea of how things work and what we should do.
The story I used yesterday about the silver investment is a perfect example. Before I told her how much it was up, and how much the dollar and peso were losing purchasing power, she sees that part when she buys groceries. She argued then that she wanted to see me sell it and get that price, but I did not want to sell, however Saturday I had to to get some money. So I shared with her how much I sold it for. She could not deny it because I showed her the receipt. But she immediately argued back with the comment “how much did you buy it for”, hoping I did not make the money I told her we did. So I told her, and she had no more comments, she knew she was wrong, but still will not admit it or say anything to acknowledge her mistake.
What she wants to do is prove to the kids that she is doing the best with the money for their future and I am spending it foolishly so they will get nothing if she does not intervene. But that is a lie, I never buy anything for myself. NEVER. My birthdays are simply going out to eat. Hers are extravagant and her 50th was a lot of money, my guess around $5,000 dollars. I do not buy clothes for myself, she does, and very few for me, but a lot for her and the kids. I do not give any money to my dad or my sister, but my wife lets a brother and her older son live rent free in two of our rentals, she gives money to her parents almost weekly.
The point of these examples is it is the opposite of what they are saying is true, they live in lies. And this is what God hates, that you choose to live according to your own ways, justify them, because my wife says she is generous, which she is with her own family. But not with me nor anyone else. If we go out to eat she barely gives a tip, and when I do she gets mad because of how much I give the person who is working. Her family, they do nothing, yet she rewards the lazy servant who hid his one talent while taking money for the other two who turned their 2 to 4 and their 4 to 8. She is doing the opposite of what God wants, but she is generous!
The investments I have made, which is where I spend the money I made, have been in metals, and real estate, which both have done very well for us. It is these investments that pay our bills these days. My wife also invested some of the money she had in real estate, but it does not produce a penny right now, she has 3 units without renters and the other 2 with her brother and son in them not paying a penny rent. The 4 I am responsible for all are rented. And it has been this way for the past 2 plus years. She has a few renters come in and then leave before their terms are up, normally leaving her with a bill or two to pay. In the main rental I run, the same renters have been in it for the entire 2 years and running. Yet she does not want to hear how to do it so she keeps hers rented also, in her mind her way is better, try to over charge so you make more money, but these people never stay.
The simple point is I have wisdom and she does not, and why? Because I spend my free time with God hearing him and his wisdom. I spend time listening to men who know a lot more about things than me, and then doing what they do because they have had success with it. What I do not do is listen to the school systems and teachers and governments and those types of people who tell you how to do things that are keeping you poor and unhealthy. The system is set up to keep you this way, poor and unhealthy and or kill you.
I am a results based guy, I do what gives me the best results, not what these lying leaders tell us to do. I look at the fruit I bear and if it is not good, I seek the changes necessary to get good fruit. This is the main thing of God, are you seeking! Seeking for the good fruit that is worthy of repentance and worthy of God and his Kingdom. And sometimes his ways seem crazy, but his goal and our goal are two different things.
We like a simple life blessed with wealth, but without problems or trials and the hard work to obtain them. We want to be healthy with a great body without exercising and eating right. We want a good spouse without doing anything to have a good relationship, we always look at what’s in it for me. Not what is the right thing to do.
We want all these things yet they escape us because in order to get them, we must seek the wisdom of God, and listen to him and then do things the way he tells us to do them. But we want to do things our own way and everyone to be good with our way.
Look at the example of my wife, she basically wants me to work my fingers to the bone, give all the money to her so she can invest it foolishly and leave half done projects (for example her 3 plex apartments are not finished which should have been over 2 years ago.) I have talked about that before. But the point is simple, the way I deal with the money is obviously much better than hers. Yet she wants me to make the money and give it all to her to invest? And any money he makes is 100% hers.
The way she is treating me is how men treat God. We demand and expect things and never seek to know the will of God so we do things right, we just demand things. And then we are like my aunt who when we do not get our way, call the Holy Spirit an evil spirit, or not of God. There are many other evil things we do, these are just two examples. I can show you my past evil examples also, like going to strip clubs and having a lot of sex with many different partners, getting drunk a lot…. And when doing these things, I was good with God because I was catholic and went to confession. I know nothing about the Spirit and what he wanted for me. Now I do not do those things and enjoy a much better life without them. We must all do this or remain separated from God. That is repent, stop doing these evil things in the eyes of God and start listening to him and doing things his way. This is all he wants, then you will be good grapes th=o be used to make good wine, the best ever, instead of sour grapes which are worthless.
And this is why so few will get into heaven even when they think they are such good people. Noi one is good in the eyes of God, NO ONE! Expect those who repent and start doing it Gods way, in his truth and with his light (wisdom).
