They do indeed have an outward appearance of wisdom, with their self imposed religious observance, false humility and asceticism; but they have no value in restraining them from indulging in their old nature. Colossians 2:23

Once again it amazes me how God teaches and how he works. One of the main points he made to me is about doctrine and its importance yet lack of importance. So you may be asking how can it be both?
Because if you believe in the catholic doctrine, you will never understand the workings of the Spirit. The catholic religion pushes the sacraments (which are not biblical). Confession to forgive sins, which makes what Yeshua did on the stake of no importance. I remember when being catholic thinking how sad it was they killed Jesus, for no reason. There was no connection with the idea of how he was the ultimate sacrifice, the clean lamb of God. And without this understanding it does not make sense. Confessing your sins to a man called “father” and that “father” forgiving you because you say some prayers to “Mary” is ridiculous, yet millions believe the doctrine. You just need confession and to eat the holy communion. And of course when in church give your tithes.
The “christian” religions are no better. They completely ignore verses like from Paul above in Colossians which tell us clearly the reason they remain in the old nature of sin is because they have their doctrine which keeps them that way. Today’s version is even worse, because they teach this “lawyer in Jesus” doctrine lie. The truth is we have a mediator in Yeshua, but his role is very different, he takes what the Father tells us and whispers it into your ear and leads us into all understanding and righteousness. As Yeshua said, this wisdom is given to babies and not the so-called wise and prudent in the world. These men have their own doctrine which actually pushes the Lord away, because of two main reasons, the first is the idea of having a lawyer to defend them in their sin, instead of a savior who sets them free from sin. These are two very different doctrines, completely separate and one has NOTHING to do with the other.
The other part which is similar is they believe that a loving God would never convict you of sin, and call your attention to it. And if you ever have a conviction of your wrong doings, it is satan and to tell him to get away from you. So you are committing the unpardonable sin, calling the Holy Spirit and evil Spirit.
This is why doctrine is so important, however you can not be set free or washed clean in the blood of the lamb because of doctrine. The true doctrine tells us how it works and who to trust in. But the bible, men teachers and any other source cannot make you Holy. And this is why these men teach you cannot be Holy. Because no matter what they try to do it never works. And they will never surrender themselves to the truth in the Lord, letting the light come in and convict them of their wrong doing. Their doctrine goes against it, so their minds go against Yeshua and the Spirit when they try to convict you or shine the light into you.
Do you see??? The very thing you are claiming as your salvation is the thing keeping you from your salvation!!! Your lawyer in Jesus is keeping you from knowing the truth. And your god who does not convict you of sin is keeping you from the conviction of your sin which sets you free. This below is what was in Utmost for his highest today, it sums it up very well.
Within our spiritual walk with the Lord, growth does not happen in gradual stages—we either abide in Him or we do not. The Father does not purify us from wrongdoing little by little; rather, as we step into His light and walk uprightly, we are made completely clean. It comes down to surrendering in obedience, which immediately restores perfect communion with Him. Yet the moment we stray from that obedience, spiritual death and darkness instantly take root once again.
Every revelation from the Almighty remains hidden until opened through our willingness to obey. Human wisdom, intellect, and theology will never unlock these spiritual truths. The second you yield in obedience, divine light breaks through. Allow His truth to saturate your heart by resting in it, rather than striving or worrying through your own mind. True understanding comes only when you stop striving to figure things out and instead yield to being born again. As you obey what He reveals, the next step becomes clear immediately. Men spend years reading heavy books about the Spirit, when a single moment of radical surrender would make everything as clear as daylight. People say, “Perhaps I will grasp this eventually,” but you can know right now! It is not academic study that opens your eyes, but simple obedience. Even the smallest act of surrender causes heaven to open, granting immediate access to God’s deepest truths. The Lord will not impart further insight until you act on what He has already shown you, so take heed lest you become puffed up in earthly wisdom.
The abiding in him is the hearing and obeying him. As long as we obey we walk in Holiness. The second we stop obeying and let a little hell into us, we are in trouble. The entire secret is to hear the Spirit and obey him. You cannot sin in the Spirit, it is impossible, apart from the Spirit it is impossible to walk without sin. Of course you will sin without the Spirit, so if your doctrine is telling you to push the workings of the Holy Spirit away, you are going to remain in sin and apart from the Lord God, including hell instead of Heaven.
Putting this in practice, I used before including yesterday my own transformation where the Lord set me free. How I fought the good fight and clinged to the Lord, he took me in and set me free in his truth.
And with a better more current example is my wife, who this past Sunday was convicted of her wrongdoing with a combination of things the Lord showed her. Putting her literally on her knees crying and then in the bathroom throwing up and balling like a baby according to her. If she had listened to all these churches we went to over the years, she would have pushed the Spirit away. But I kept telling her how the Lord works, showing all these bible verses to prove it, and she knew, she argued some, but the truth I showed her directly from scripture supported what I was saying. So when the moment came it was no surprise and she accepted the conviction.
Here is the other side of it, I see a serious difference in my wife. She is NOT the same person she was last week. And this is during a time when normally she would be worse because of her period as well as going through some issues with menopause. Normally she is unbearable when this happens, but she has been incredible. The few issues we have had, very minor. Remained very minor instead of blowing up into something HUGE. Now we had a civil discussion about the things she does not like or that in her mind I did wrong. And we move on. It does not become this big fight with her demanding things of me and trying to control me. There is a difference in discussing things that need to get done and whose responsibility it is to do them, and demanding that I read her mind and know exactly what I should have done according to her, and because I did not do what she expected I am stupid. Now I am not stupid, she is showing me some things and showing me some wisdom in certain areas of life. Very different, and not because of Doctrine, but because the Lord convicted her of not showing respect to her husband and trying to control and demand things instead. Because this is the other part of this, many of the things she used to want me to do, go against what God wants and has no wisdom in them at all. So how am I going to obey her instead of the wisdom of God?
I can tell she is a new creation in God, now her part and my part is to simply remain as a new creation in Yeshua with the working in of the Holy Spirit and us working out what he shows us. As long as we do this, we will live the most amazing Godly life ever. Yeshua unites us as one with one cause which is to do the will of God. United in God we CANNOT be divided in our marriage, it is not possible.
As I always say, seek the Lord and his voice until you find him, then obey and let him clean you up and perfect you in his truth. Stop following the doctrine of men which keep you separated from God. Then you will have a life worth living and secure your salvation. It is impossible to not have this in Yeshua, and it is not possible to obtain it separated from Yeshua no matter what bible verses you profess with your mouth.
