“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8
The message from Yashua this morning was about halfhearted effort. He showed me a few things about how our mental thinking (doctrine) is wrong. With the wrong doctrine, no matter how good it sounds, and how easy it is for the man of the flesh to accept thinking it is of God. It does not and cannot get you the desired results.
This morning the Lord reminded me of a few times in my life where people made comments which shows the true lack of understanding of what God wants. The first one was an older man who many thought was a perfect example of a man of God. Many times I heard how peopled would say I want to be like him. He was very generous with money, did the church thing, always agreeable, even to the point of saying “I’m sorry” if anyone had something difficult to deal with. He told me once, “I only do what I think Jesus would want me to do. I try to imitate him.”
But here is the problem, the first one is no matter how much you read the bible and try to be like him, you cannot. You can only be like him by being born again into the Spirit which is you hear him and obey him. Yashua and his Spirit must completely remake your mind. You must become a new man in Yashua, not just a man who tries to imitate Jesus (who again never existed). It is a 100% change in you, and nothing less than this.
Now as this played out in his life and how he acted it was very agreeable to people, but was it of God? Was he bearing fruit in the drought and heat, or ever?
The next part there will be some who say you are judging this man, but am I if it comes from the Lord showing me why man is wrong in their assessment of what is right and wrong in the eyes of God when they do not know? Because the flesh is always trying to justify itself as OK with God, and it never can be. It does so in many ways, which is the point the Lord was making this morning. Yashua showed me a few things which go against the will of God while at the same time was pretending or believing it was of God to act in this way. Man loves a man of the flesh and hates the true man of God.
The first thing, the generosity. In his giving I watched him enable people to be lazy and not pay the price for the laziness. As an example there was a relative who he gave money to, the guy never worked much always trying to start one business or another with halfhearted effort and they always failed because of the effort. So this man giving them money allowed him to keep doing this. And one time, which hit me hard was when he was giving them money to survive, and the wife was in San Diego on a vacation and we met up with her. I saw this with his own daughter also, giving her money to live a better life than she should have based on her decisions. It allowed her to keep spending money foolishly going to happy hour almost daily, travel and hotels whenever she wanted. And also able to give money to her kids when she should not have.
The point of God is, yes it is good to be generous, but there is a time to do it and a time not to. I give, but only when Yashua tells me to give. I remember a time in Tijuana a guy came up in a wheelchair and I gave him 5 pesos, hardly anything, like 30 cents. And the Lord spoke and said, why did you give him money? I said because he said God bless you. Yashua said “You do not know what I am doing with that man, don’t get in the way.” There were other times where he told me to give to other people just out of the blue, people who truly were on a path of seeking righteousness. Point is let God tell you when to give and to whom and when not to and how much.
A second thing I saw in this man was the saying “I am sorry.” If God allows you to go through something, it is for a purpose, we are made holy through the things we suffer. A true man of God would NEVER make it about being sorry for someone suffering, we weaken the other person and make them feel sorry for themselves, Keeping them weak. This is not of God, even though it sounds like how we want God to be. All through the bible it speaks of suffering the will of God, it is how he perfects us. Do not get in the way and do not feel sorry for the people nor pity them.
There are many other things I saw in this man, which the world sees as good or normal, but is anything but. In the eyes of God. I hear men say I am a good person (as if to be worthy of heaven) and thinking they are going to heaven someday. Even this whore pope we have today Francis says this lie. No man is going to heaven because they are a “good person” in the eyes of other men or themselves. I also saw it playing out in his physical health as this man was on many meds and got migraines often signs of not being right with God, although the world dismisses it as genetic or he is the unlucky one. But this is not true.
As an example one of my clients Charlie Sheen, the movie actor. He had migraines. I told him one day the Lord would correct them in him.because Yashua told me he would And one day they stopped. But the reason why was because he stopped drinking and drugs, stopped smoking and started going to bed early without anyone sleeping with him. The point is the migraines are a result of something bad you are doing in your life and the fallout, Not just because you are unlucky. My wife also used to get migraines really bad, since we got married 14 plus years ago, it stopped. But she has changed many things in her life as well
A second person was a married lady at a bible study we were invited to. The bible verses we were studying was from 1 John chapter 3. The chapter states directly without any chance of twisting it, we must be perfect, and if we are not then we are not of God, we are of satan. But as the meeting went on the people in meeting where speaking of sin and grace. So I stopped them and pointed out the verses and how they make the point it is the opposite of their lies they believe. Many disagreements came about but one in particular was from a woman who said or asked me. So you never want to cheats a little with God? Like he tells you to do something or you want to do something he does not want you to do and you never want to cheat? My thought was her husband should be careful if she has this belief. But the main point is we must get rid of these thoughts, they only keep us in the dysfunction of the sin and making it OK with God in our minds when it is not.
God expects us to obey every time. When the rich young ruler walked away, Yashua did not run after him talking about grace and saying he would be saved anyways. He let him go, free will, but that free will even though he kept all the commandments since childhood does not mean he gets into heaven. Yashua said “If you want to be perfect, then…”
This is the point, what is your “IF” from Yashua? We do not get to make up our own “IF” and destiny and doctrine to enter in, yet we follow men who tell us what we want to hear thinking we do get in heaven because we believe in a man named Jesus Christ and have faith in the grace doctrine, or whatever doctrine which is not of God. God is not about doctrine, he is about obedience to his voice and letting him work perfection into you by the things you suffer. This is without man getting in the way with their money and or sympathy. Or whatever their belief system is.
When looking back at my first 40 years or so of life, and my doctrinal beliefs, I was similar in many ways. Although because of sports and being in sales. I did understand the thing about discipline and effort to achieve higher results. All my success is because of this, coming to understand how to do things in a certain “way” which is above the ways of the other people. The techniques I learned from coahes or watching other players do things, and then mastering them through hard work and effort is what made me different from the rest. Over my years I had good coaches and bad coaches and came to understand how important it is to always do things in the way which gave me the results I wanted. Like in basketball getting a lot of rebounds and points, but points with a very high shooting percentage. At one time our high school coach had a system where he kept stats and had a point system with it, which included the good things and bad things. He showed it to us and my turnovers was giving me a bad score. So it helped me to focus on this and stop turning it over through paying attention to the things I was doing wrong. We had the same thing in college when playing football But this time around out of all us as defensive linemen, my score was always the highest because of paying attention to the little details which made me a better player. I was easily the smallest, slowest and weakest lineman we had. But was on top of many of the charts like leading the team in sacks and 3rd in tackles even being a defensive end. Two times I was selected as the national player of the week for my size college. And this is NOT because I was the best athlete ever. It was strictly because of effort and understanding, reading keys and doing my job correctly for the benefit of the team. .
This is the point of Yashua. IF you are going to be perfect and perform at the highest level. We must be willing to give up everything, all our thoughts of what we believe is the right way to do things and stop trying to be like Jesus and instead obey Yashua, the great coach. . Then make the full commitment to do what he shows you no matter the cost or pain it takes you through. Once you learn these things your performance becomes the will of God and your reaction are exactly what they need to be instead of a reaction not right with God or your coach getting you bad results. Once you get to the other side after walking through the valley of the Shadow of death” you will find Yashua and his amazing peace, joy and Love. All the disciples went through serious problems and wrote about them, and even Yashua “was made perfect through the things he suffered. And it will be the same with those of us who truly seek the will of God for our lives instead of making up and believing a doctrine we want to believe in because it is easier to believe and accept giving us a easy path or way out.
