But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Luke 12:29
The Lord Yashua told us to keep watch, to make sure we are right with him because we do not know the day or hour he will return nor the hour we will die. Any of us could die from a car accident or a simple heart attack or whatever at any moment. We all get that however we also never plan with it in the back of our mind, We just live our lives as if we are eternal in this world.
The other thing that amazes me is how we seem to think that man and his inventions are something special, as if God never thought of them and many men specifically scientist and other doctors have figure things out that God never could have and as if God sits up in heave and is amazed with us.
I see over and over post about modern western medicine and how it is evil, which I believe is true. And today as with many days, I got in a debate with an old high school friend who happens to be a doctor because I reposted about health. He has his beliefs about his profession as a doctor, and I have my beliefs about his profession based on two things. First one what I said above, if it was good and right, God would have implemented it from the beginning. He knows everything and man cannot and will not get anything on God where God is like WOW what a smart guy, now why did I not think of that?
Second thing is the fruit I bear (or outcome). I look at how the people are following man made doctrine (which is not only religious but also governmental including schooling. My friend the doctor obviously was much smarter than me ion school, I could have never become a doctor, never book smart. But on the other side I see these doctors and have worked with many of them both when doing investments and with real estate, and can tell you I never seen such smart men have no idea on normal financial things. They are the worst investors. As an example of one of my home buyers spent close to $100,000 more than he had to because of a loan and extra closing cost. And he did not care because he was making over $1,000,000 a year.
From what I have seen and what Yashua spoke about, it is the rich and or those full of worldly knowledge (who are not poor in Spirit) who are the hardest to enter into the Kingdom of God. In my life there are 3 things that happened that made me seek the truth which then I found the truth to be a God named Yashua. The first thing was because of some really tough things I went through which destroyed me, we are blessed by the things which we suffer. Second thing is I have always been one to look for the best ways to do things, paying attention to the things that work and what does not work, both in myself and in other people. It took a so so athletic guy and made me a pretty good athlete. I applied this to everything in life from sports to sales to Spiritual things. Third is I always had a strong fascination about God and the Spiritual world. There are things I remember from my early childhood that are very Spiritual both on the evil side and on the side of God. One example was when I was around 7 years old I felt the touch of God, like being anointed. And I remember a few things that had to be the evil one.
This is the point of the verse, knowing the mind of the evil one as much as the mind of the Holy One. The evil one comes like a thief and we are not ready. God holds us responsible for this, he expects us to be ready in and out of season. He will equip us if we will only seek him and do our life the way he tells and shows us to do it. And you will learn the things of God and the things the evil one is trying to do to rob you of your eternal inheritance. The main thing the evil one does is blind us so we think men with titles like doctor and preacher or priest, our politicians and teachers…have the answers for us and we need to consult with them for our safety and livelihood. Follow the crowd and do what they tell us, which is good in some respects because it keeps you in their ways which keeps you from a lot of problems like being seen as a crazy person because you go against the norm or crowd.
I use to follow the crowd and think it was the way to live this life also, but now some 20 years later after really coming to know Yashua and what he wants and expects, I see that somewhere around 99% of the things I learned in this world are corrupt and or wrong. They have some truth in it or we would know it is wrong. And maybe 90% or even 99% is true, but that 1% that is not is what keeps us from being what God expects us to be. Man in his teachings and way may be 70% or 90% or even 99% correct according to the ways of God, but Yashua said “He who is guilty of the least of these things is guilty of them all.” In other words exactly what I am saying here, because Yashua taught it to me. Not a man teacher. The man teacher tells us the opposite, that Yashua and father God Yahweh do not expect us to be perfect, that no man can be, and they take certain verses out of context to support their teachings.
But I know Yashua and what he expects. Which is perfect obedience to him. The outcomes will be what they are, and man’s judgment will be wrong accordingly. God is not after a law, he is after your heart or obedience to him.
He keeps showing me over and over about sports. When I played and coached, never did I make every shot or stop the other team from scoring every time. If we base perfection on that we will lose every time. But if we base the perfection on performing our skills perfect every time, then we see a different picture.
For example if I played Michael Jordan in 1 on 1 it is certain he would beat me, God does not expect me to beat him solo. If I use the skills he teaches me to the best of my ability I will still loose, but at least I did it his way. This is what God expects, to do it his way.
Now however God has a special surprise of sorts. He comes in and plays with you. So now if Mike beats you to the hoop, Yashua blocks his shot or if you throw up a shot and miss Yashua puts it back in. Now you can beat Mike.
In real life it is not like this, because God does not care and does not base your salvation onif you can beat Mike in basketball. But this is how it is with satan, because satan is way to crafty or a thief for you to beat no matter how good your man teacher is. He has been doing this for 1,000s of years and you??? For me being 60 but really knowing Yashua only about 20. I do not stand a chance against satan.
This is the first thing, know your opponent. Understand him and how he works. I have always been good at this, watching how the guy I am guarding or going against does things. This is doable with Yashua your teacher if you make Yashua your teacher. If you decide instead to follow the worldly men then satan will destroy you no matter how smart the men you follow are and how smart you are, just like playing Mike in his prime without help.
It cannot be explained any better than this, because you have to experience it for yourself. When you start to know Yashua and his truth, he will show you things that give you a BIG advantage. But even that is not enough, so he comes and carries the other side of the yoke. Or more so you decide to yoke with him so he carries the better part of the burden. Your job becomes to know him and obey him and he does the rest. He makes you into a basketball player to be feared, but when the best come around, he is there to help you to defeat them.
As an example I remember one time when playing a guy who was a good player, but only had two moves. Either go right or shoot a jump shoot which he was a good shooter. He was much quicker and faster than me and taller more athletic. But could only go right. So I said to Yashua, I’ll take away his right hand and make him shoot jump shoots and defend the best I can. But you make him miss. This guy never scored on me. I played against many D1 players from Iowa, Iowa State, Drake and UNI amongst others and always held my own simply because of knowing how to do things at a higher level than them even though physically they were way above me.
An interesting story, at least to me. One day a guy who was actually a pro baseball player named Don Wingert was on my team. He never seemed to win at basketball and his team always sat out. This day he ended up on my team and mentioned this, and we happened to be playing against a team with an ex Iowa State point guard named Terry Woods. Terry did not lose often, but because of this guys words, I played at a higher level and we won, for him. After words I told him this, it is mental. Somewhat because even though he made it to higher level than I could ever dream of, he lacked the mental edge. He was a journey man in the Major legal baseball league.
The point is that, Mike Jordan was arguably the best ever because he had the physical edge but also mentally he played at the highest level. Not many ever achieve this. But basketball and sports aside, not many achieve what God is after. Most choose the wide path which leads to death, the path of worldliness, men teachers and leaders instead of God. Doing things at a much lower level than what God expects because we are lazy or just do not want to listen to the Spirit or light and ignore it. It is not fun to have the light shine into us and show us where we are wrong. Or how evil he sees us, when the men of this world accept our evil as OK because they are doing something evil also and not of God. When men follow men they are the blind leading the blind, it cannot be any other way as it is not possible.
I know God and what he expects from me. But I would never tell you how to live your life, that job belongs to Yashua not me or any other man. I know what he shows and tells me, but I also know your way may be different than mine, but mostly that no matter how perfect I teach you and show you, based on what he shows me, it can never duplicate what Yashua can and will show you and in the way he shows you truth. I can and will help anyone to see something you do wrong if you ask or let me. But no man can duplicate the light when it shines into you and shows you your darkness or sin or dysfunction. If I try to duplicate it you will resent me. And most resent the light and call the light an evil Spirit (blasphemy). This is your eternal death from Yashua, not letting the light shine into you and showing you who you are and what you must change about yourself.
So now back to the discussion with the doctor today, and his argument for modern medicine and mine against it because of what Yashua has shown me. If he let the light shine into him and show him truth and wisdom. He will quickly see that most things he has learned are wrong. As I keep saying over and over this world is one lie after another to different degrees. The medical profession is one of the worst. But good luck in convincing people it is not. They have their one example without all the supporting information which in their mind supports their position. And one that was given to them by men teachers, not God.
As said before, God is not up in heaven watching and saying WOW, what a smart man, now why did I not think of that? I am so glad I have man to help me learn things.
