Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance. Psalms 33:12
So in keeping with the same main message, which is the real doctrine of God and the gospel message. IT is still about knowing him and obeying him. With the added part of what happens when we have our own agenda and follow it with ignoring the Lord and his perfect will for us.
Human nature seems to think we are good without the guidance of God, to hear and obey him. And that God walks alongside us or has our back as one person recently told me. But that is not the truth at all.
This morning the Lord said to me as an example or a parable. If your dad tells you to be home at 10 and you come home at 12. Or if your dad expects you at 10 and does not express it because you did not ask and came home at 12. Then you are not in obedience to him. We must ask and seek the will of the Father and then obey it “IF” we want his peace and salvation. There is no other way, the Father is the police, judge and jury, just like your dad is. What he says goes, not what you want to happen and then make your arguments against his will.
The second part of it is when you truly do this, seek his will and then obey his command, and you see the fruit you are bearing because of it. YOu do it with delight, it is not a burden to do the will of God like it was when you first came to know him. You find it always turns out good, and for our good. You come to see how he blesses you and how your life becomes amazing. The purpose of God is not to make you a slave, but to set you free. But he cannot do so without you doing things his way, because otherwise you will find you are obeying satan and his way. You will obey one or the other, there is no other choice. Maybe you argue I obey myself, and do my own thing, but that is the way of satan. satan knows you cannot be what God expects unless you hear him and obey him, so he does not come in and make big issues for most people who follow their own heart and ways. He knows he already has them. He may slowly real you in and put the hammer to you with serious suffering which is normally because of your extreme sinful ways, He did it to me. But this is somewhat of a risk to satan because when it happens, some of us turn to God and really seek him because of our suffering, like I did. It is the sick who need a doctor, not the healthy. And I was really sick.
What gets me is the ones who live a fairly good life, good what most people consider good works, which the Lord sees as evil works. So they never see the need to repent of their ways and keep walking in them. And their religion tells them they are OK the way they are so why would they? It’s sad to me, and this is the majority of the people. Most live what we consider a moral life, they are not hitler or the cartel. But God has expectations much higher than this level of living, and those who get into his kingdom must be born again into the Spirit.
So a man who lives a decent moral life according to the world, will not get in but a man like me who did things he should not have, does get in because he repents and then hears and obeys the Lord the rest of his life and into eternity. By human knowledge this does not seem right does it? But it is the way of God.
