Since everything is going to be destroyed like this, what kind of people should you be? You should lead holy and godly lives. 2 Peter 3:10
This verse is a bit of a play on words, but it shows two things. First, how easy it is to use partial verses or messages to make your point, even and most of the time in a non-truth way. This verse is speaking about the end of times and the world burning with really no warning. But with everything that happened today the shortened verse makes a point.
First was what the Lord was showing me this morning. Making it clear to me why we cannot enter into the Kingdom under our own terms and works. Over the past few weeks, as it is written about different conversations I had with people. We get things so easily lost in the real message of the bible, and what God really wants. But the main point he made is nothing new, which is how we substitute religion and our beliefs of what is good and bad, for what God would tell us what is right and good and bad.
The second thing was a funeral today, or sort of. It was a young lady of 43 years old who got the jab and it killed her with cancer. It was not a real funeral, the boyfriend and her almost husband had a short gathering in his house and they spread her ashes over the ocean afterwards. He spoke of how good of a lady she was. And by worldly means I liked her, she always had a smile and good nature about her. But what we think is good, is not so good in the eyes of God. And the funny thing is we all have ideas or different degrees of what is good and bad. A drug lord might think they are going to heaven, many of the mafia did because most were roman catholic and did the church and confession thing.
But that is not the point, it is more how God showed me who I was before knowing him, and who people are apart from him. And now who I am in him. The things the Lord shows me about our human nature that only he can show us if you will listen. And then give you the way to change so you are no longer that person. They are amazing, the life in Yeshua truly is amazing, the life apart from him is truly not. You can only understand this if you know Yeshua like I do and he shows it to you.
The second part is what was written yesterday about how we make up excuses and use religion as a scape goat and it is not. And how my brother in law a few times told me “that is your opinion.” The short is no it is not my opinion, it is what Yeshua showed me. He does not accept you as you are in your sin. The proof is in the fruit you bear and what is inside of you. He still is bearing bad fruit having sex with a young lady he does not even want to be around, except for the sex. And more so how he feels inside, his words not mine, but he feels empty and dark inside.
I have been there, I used to do the same as him, but the Lord set me free in his truth which I followed. But I also did NOT make excuses and say things like it is your opinion. Instead I seeked the Lord and his opinion and this is what he showed me. And I know it to be good fruit because when I did as he expected, he set me free and I no longer do what I did, and no longer feel that empty darkness inside of me. To the point of feeling sick to my stomach and wanting to throw up when I feel short.
You will know them by their fruit! Or you will know you are on the right path by your fruit. Is your fruit the fruit of the Spirit? Or something else?
Until you know God you will not understand this, and even then if you never went down this road you will not understand it. It is something you need to go through in order to understand it.
But to put it all together, and looking back on this funeral today along with the Lord’s message to me before it this morning. It is really about how short this life is or can be, especially if you compare it to eternity. And how our focus is on the things of this world instead of the things of God. Which again I know because for the first almost 40 years of my life it was on the things of the world until it slowly changed unto the things of God. One by one the thoughts were changed, one experience after another.
I am trying to tell you all, anyone who will listen. You cannot do anything in your own works, no religion, no good deeds. Nothing is worthy of God done by you in our own way. It leads to hell, no ifs ands or buts. You can argue with me, and I do not care because it is not of me to judge you, that is of God, the son Yeshua. But that is the judgement he will use when he meets you. Were your works of your own doing based on your own idea of what is right and wrong? Or will your works be in obedience to the Lord and what he shows you?
The extra benefit of obedience is the amazing life he gives you when you obey. The wisdom which helps you see things you never used to see and no one else sees because they do not want to know and obey the Lord. My guess is by the reaction of most people or comments of most people. That 99.9999% of the people think I am crazy because of what I say. These people do not believe you can live a Holy and Godly life. They believe the lie which tells them God is OK with the way you are and you cannot live a Holy and Godly life.
The other quick point the Lord made, was he showed me all the way back to the first story of Adam and Eve, and many people throughout the bible. And how some heard and obeyed God and when they did how there were always trials and tribulations. But in the end they lived good lives and God always protected them from the enemy. God completely destroyed the enemy when the people were right with him. Most of the time with no casualties.
But he also made the point how when they rebelled and or moved away from God and ignored his instruction. These same enemies destroyed the Jews. Makes you wonder about the state of the Jews in the holocaust with Hitler??? It seems pretty obvious they were not right with God during this time.
And so I look at all going on in this world, seeing the signs of the end of times all around. And wondering how it will all go down. It literally could be something very simple like a grid going down to destroy the lives of millions. And if it goes down because of some of these bombs countries like China have. Imagine if we had no electricity or internet anymore? All your financial information is online and would be lost.
Recently we had a bank we had money in go broke here in Mexico. No more web page access to see what we had in it or even bank accounts. Thankfully I still have my paper records, and remember the account balance to get the money back. But it also requires going to a new bank to transfer the money. So what if they all were down because of no internet or electricity? Everything is moving digital these days. Your money and cash flow would stop, including payments like social security.
It could be what I see China doing, where they are in control of most of the world’s natural resources, things other countries need to produce things including national security things. They have the power to simply say who they will and will not sell to going forward, which they kind of have done that already. Many countries’ businesses would go under without these resources. Which would then make the country go broke.
Our enemies have the power to destroy us without firing a single bullet. However the prophecy of Peter and others in the bible tell us there will be something much worse than a bullet or two being fired. It appears to be nuclear weapons. If that happens, or when that happens. The rest of this message is probably a non issue because it will destroy it all. If the heavens (or sky) disappears and all the elements melt. It is doubtful any of us will survive. Which is fine with me, but what about you? Are you leading a Holy and Godly life so you also are ready for meeting God face to face? Or are you thinking guys like me are crazy because we hear God and making excuses like “that is your opinion?”
