“As for you, the Messianic anointing you received from the Father remains in you, so that you have no need for anyone to teach you. On the contrary, as his Messianic anointing continues to teach you about all things, and is true, not a counterfeit, so, just as he taught you, remain united with him.” 1 John 2:27
I got in a debate with a religious Christian who said to me that my doctrine is wrong and he listens to men a lot smarter than me. Well it is partially true, because there are many men much smarter than me he can listen to. BUT, my simple response was I do not listen and be taught by men, my teacher is Yeshua and he is the one with the wisdom or light.
Most of the discussion was about the word Christ or Christo in Greek where the name was given to the one they worship. The translation literally means “anointed one.” Which is true, Yeshua was anointed. But so were many others over the years, including me and anyone who knows and obeys the Lord Yeshua. If we read Johns writings above it says specifically we are to receive the Messianic anointing and it will remain in us.
If you put the word anointed in to a search in bible gateway, it comes up 133 times, mentioning many anointed over the years. So this is the point of the discussion. We minimize the Lord of Lords by calling him the anointed one, making him just another god, the same as many men. But Yeshua is much more than this, he is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He was the Messiah the only one through whom we can enter into the Kingdom of Heaven and God. Yeshua is the only one who was worthy to open the scrolls, and the only one who is worthy to sit down at the right hand of the Father and rule over us. He is the only one through whom the Holy Spirit was sent back into the world.
Do you get the point? He is not just another anointed one, he is the Messiah and Lord. He is deserving of the Highest level of respect and honor. But we minimalize him and his power by making him small in our words and ignoring him and his voice in order to follow other men teachers who are smarter than me.
Note the second part of the verse above “as his Messianic anointing continues to teach you about all things, and is true, not a counterfeit, so, just as he taught you, remain united with him.” It is plain to see that John is telling all of us the same thing I am telling anyone who will listen. The anointing or being born again into the Holy Spirit, means that now God, Yeshua is your teacher and will lead us into all righteousness. John did not make himself their teacher, he lead them to Yeshua. All the other disciples did the same. They did not teach, they simply made the case to know and obey the Messiah, the Lord Yeshua. In anything that looks like them teaching, it was to support this position and show the way and truth, so when hearing something from the spiritual world, they learned which is Yeshua and which is of satan, the adversary. Because the advisory also works in the spiritual realm, putting thoughts in your mind of unrighteousness. Making those thoughts appear right or justified when they are not. Any of us can justify anything in our mind even using scripture.
As I read through Leviticus, it tells us how we should stone to death anyone caught in adultery or prostitution. I could justify killing a lot of different people based on scripture if I wanted to. But that is not what the Holy Spirit does and the Lord teaches.
The verse before the one above says “I have written you these things about the people who are trying to deceive you.” Note the part about so no one deceives you. Then he follows up with the above verse about not having anyone but Yeshua be your teacher. In Matthew 23:10 Yeshua said “Nor are you to let yourselves be called ‘leaders,’ because you have one Leader, and he is the Messiah!” In some translation ns is says teacher instead of leader, but in the context of what Yeshua was saying it is the same. Because the one who teaches you is the one you will be like. Your teacher is your leader. And if your leader is not the Messiah Yeshua and instead a man, then you are doomed because no man can lead you into all righteousness, only God can. As an anointed one, I can tell you about his righteousness and how it works, but I cannot lead you into it. Nor could John or Peter or Paul or anyone else. Yet men prefer to be taught by other men instead of by the Messiah.
And that is your judgment. Did you let the Messiah teach you and lead you into all righteousness? Or did you study a religion and have men teachers tell you what it means and how it works?
The next part of this passage says “And now, children, remain united with him; so that when he appears, we may have confidence and not shrink back from him in shame at his coming. If you know that he is righteous, you should also know that he is the Father of everyone who does what is right.” Two things stand out on this, first is how John writes to “remain united” with Yeshua. Not to run after every whim of doctrine. And second that Yeshua is the Father of those who do things right, or another way to put it do their works in righteousness.
Many preach this grace trash and works are wrong and will judge you to hell. But true grace is given by knowing and obeying the Lord, because after Yeshua shows you who you are, and you see how evil man really is. Then you will know you are not worthy of him giving you this chance to repent and come to know him. That’s grace. But once you receive this grace, and walk in the light as he is in the light. And the3 Messiah is your teacher and you let him lead you into all righteousness, then your works will be right in the eyes of God. You will not be able to do unrighteous works because when you obey the Messiah in all things he shows you, how are your works (or actions) going to be bad? He is not the author of confusion and bad works, which is the adversary’s roll.
If you do bad works it is because you are listening to the devil even though you do not know it or understand it. And the reason you do not understand is because of your men teacher who follow satan by default. We follow one or the other, Yeshua or satan. There is no other choice. Many would argue we can follow the lust of the flesh or other similar things, which is partially true. But the lust of the flesh are of satan, so directly if you obey your lust of the flesh, you are obeying satan.
Last point today, which is I see deep into the Spiritual world, more and more each day as the Lord shows me and teaches me things. What I see cannot be explained so you understand. How it works cannot be explained properly by another man. It must be experienced by you directly with Yeshua being your teacher. That is his roll if you let him, and there is no other way to the Father except through the son. Again, this is the judgment for you. Did you let the light shine into your darkness and then correct what the light shows you? Or did you ignore the light in favor of men teachers?
