“Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you won’t be put to the test!” Luke 22:46
A simple quick message today. It does not matter what religion you follow. What doctrine, what you want to believe or believe in. They do not equal the savior, the Lord Yeshua.
The only salvation comes from knowing Yeshua and obeying him, he will take your evil works and make them good. In other words you will stop living the way you used to and live a new life in the Messiah. How I live today is nothing like how I lived before I came to know God and what he wants and expects. And this life in the Messiah is amazing compared to my old life in sinful lust of the flesh. It is a pleasing life to God, and although I thought my old life was good enough with God because of the evil doctrine I was taught, which taught me to ignore the light and suppress or quench the Holy Spirit, and remain in my religious sinful life, was pleasing to God, as if he was OK with it. I came to find out through knowing him, none of us can live a pleasing life to him unless we know him and obey his commands to us personally.
That is the message, the rest is just adding on to it with stories the Lord reminded me of. Things that support this.
The first one is about Paul, and how he was persecuting the early church of the Messiah, killing many of them. And all the time thinking he was doing it for Adonai. He really believed in the doctrine he had as a Jew, but not only a Jew but a scholar, knowing the scripture better than almost everyone else. He had his doctrine, his viewpoint and it was right in his mind, but it was evil in the sight of the Lord.
When we look at the writings of Paul they also get twisted to come up with a different doctrine, many follow this grace doctrine. Some make it about their works, trying to upkeep the law on their own by self study. But the true doctrine of Paul is telling us clearly we need to know him and obey him. Paul writes about the differences of how he is in the Spirit and how he was in the flesh. Many take this as if Paul went back and forth between the two always, and fell short and sinned until he died, but this is not the truth. Although no one who wants to justify themselves in their sin will ever listen. They do not want to know the truth which sets them free. They want their lies which allows them to remain in their sins and be OK with God (which can never happen, and it leads to death).
All of us are asleep and blind and cannot hear the Lord, until or unless we are truly born again into the Spirit.
But how many ever really are born again? Many think they are because of a religious celebration, or some form of Spiritual thing with God. I can remember my first time hearing the Lord, and many times he touched in and gave me goose bumps. I thought I had arrived, but it was only the beginning. He took me through many trials and tribulations which in turn taught me many things about life and how we live it while asleep, and how he wants us to live it in his Spirit. The Spirit CANNOT enter into you when you are still in sin. The Spirit can show you things while in sin, as does the Son of God, Yeshua. And as long as you change the things they tell you to change, you will move towards Holiness and perfection. But if you stop the process and refuse to change something the Lord puts his finger on, you remain in the sin.
This process is the cleansing or purification process. Very few ever get to this point, because we quench the Spirit before it has a chance to start in on us. In my life and past he came to me because I was seeking him and his truth as my life was in ruins. Partially because of things God allowed in my life, but mostly because of my sinful way I was living. And little by little he showed me things to change, and as I felt his conviction of wrong doing and made the changes he made clear I needed to make. I moved closer and closer to him and righteousness. The last two things he took from me were the two which caused me the most bondage. Mostly sexual sin, but also getting drunk. These two he had to do special things with me and in me. In regards to getting drunk, I had one last night of getting drunk and then the next day being extremely embarrassed by it (not the first time of being embarrassed). And that was it, no more drinking like that (although 2 times in the past 15 years I have fallen short in it and repented about it).
The other one sexual sin, the Lord had to set me free from it. The strong hold of the evil spirits was too much. Most likely you also will have something like this to be set free from, most do. Even Paul with all his knowledge of scripture had something he needed set free from, and another reason people twist the grace doctrine because Paul wrote “the Lord told him his grace is sufficient.” SWe take that statement as he always remained in that sin and it was OK with God. BUT I can tell you two things. First from experience the Lord leaves you in certain sin and embarses the hell (literally) out of you. He has his purpose of leaving you in a certain sin for a season, and that sin teaches you things you need to learn so you want out of it more than anything, and then he helps you. Remember Paul wrote later, “I fought the good fight, I won the race…” In other words he did get set free from the one thing he struggled with.
You can argue with me, defend your doctrine saying Paul always sinned and so do we all. But this is the truth, not my truth, but the truth the Lord showed me, and the works the Lord has done in me so I have the power of God to overcome the evil of the evil spirits. The one who lives in me is MUCH stronger than any other spirit. And if he is in you it is because you have overcome the evil spirits by his help. Not on your own, least we boast. But by his MIGHTY power so we boast in him and on him.
I do not take any of the glory for being able to remain in a righteous way of living, it is all in him, he is the one who reminds me when I start to turn to the left or right instead of remaining on the straight and narrow path. He is the one who shows me things in me and in other people which are not right with him, so I know not to do them. He shows me the will of my Father God Adonai, so I live a life well pleasing to him.
I did not figure it out on my own, and defeat the evil spirits in my life on my own by reading scripture over and over. It was all because of him.
So this is your problem if you are still in sin (and if you are not, then you know what I am saying is true because you also overcame in him). Your problem is you believe in the wrong doctrine, you follow men teachers instead of knowing and obeying the Lord. You make your men teachers and the bible your word of god instead of the son being your Word. Because the “word became flesh and dwelt amongst us.”
Another point the Lord made and keeps making to me. That is how we view evil and good. Remember the Lord Yeshua was accused by the Jews of having an evil spirit. The Lord was told by his disciples “he offended the Jewish leaders.” They accused him of being a drunkard and friend to sinners. In their eyes and in their mind he was not righteous because he did not do things the way they thought was good.
But as it is written, what God thinks is good, man sees as bad. And what God sees as bad, man sees as good.
Many times I have been attacked by people who are trying to tell me I am bad and not in God. Even telling me I am not saved. Many tend to have this viewpoint we are supposed to give and give and let people walk all over us and take everything we have, or give it all away. Yet most all of these are hypocrites because they would never do as they preach. They twist doctrine to suit their view points to their advantage. They will bring up past mistakes when you were living in the flesh also as to point to it as that is who you still are, and make you wrong. They through doctrine at you about how if you think sexually about another woman it is sexual sin (which is true, but to look at another woman and admire her beauty is one thing, to undress her in your mind and have sex with her or desire her is another). It is easy for these people to make you a sinner the same as them. And many try to beat you down so they feel bigger than you.
I do not try to feel bigger than anyone else, that is not the point. The point is “we can do all things in the Messiah who loves and strengthens us.” I do not want to see anyone remain in their sin and dysfunction. Living a life where they are asleep, cannot see and hear truth. I do not want anyone to remain the power of satan and his Kingdom. And the truth does condemn us of our wrong doing, so of course it offends. This is why Yeshua completely ignored the disciples when they told him he offended the Jewish leaders. He already knew he did and did not care, the truth cuts like a knife, a double edge sword. Cutting to the bone and separating the bone from the marrow and the Spirit from the soul. You cannot apologize for this, or side step it. We must confront it straight on. Yet the “christian” religions do the opposite, they pretend you are good and righteous and that God does not see those sins, or your confession will resolve them so you start a fresh new day, ready to sin again to go through the same insane cycle of sin and resolve.
Another thing that happened (more than once now) is some videos I saw about the scriptures, and how the church (which was the catholic church at the time) took and got rid of a number of the teachings. And changed the wording of some of the other books. It is truth we have less books in the bible as a “christian” bible than the “catholic” bible. So who decides these things?
The main thing they removed was the point of how since Yeshua came we are to hear him and obey him. We do not need a church system, that is the church! The second thing is it took out a lot of prophecies, one of which was really interesting to me about 7 stages we would go through before the end. And it is interesting because these seven stages are happening. I do not remember them all, but a few are about how men will stop hearing God and make up their own doctrine. Second they will rely on or teach grace and not good works in the Lord. One of the last ones was seriously about social media, and how men would substitute this for knowing God. They would spend their time listening to other people and their view points and their works come about because of this.
It also talked about the control that would come into play, but I do not remember all the details nor is it that important. But what these removed books were saying lines up with what Paul wrote about in “latter days, they will heap up preachers who will tell them what their itching ears want to hear…” And “God will send them a grand delusion so they believe the lie.”
But the main point on this, and has been made many times before. Is man has changed everything over and over and over since the beginning. As I continue to read through the bible and old testament. King after King went from being righteous with God and obeying to building alters and worshipping false gods and idols. Rebelling against God.
When I look at what the Lord is showing me about these days it is similar yet worse. Man started changing doctrine even while John the disciple was still alive as written in Revelations. And even before with Paul who wrote to the churches and told them how and who was wrong, and to change or get these evil men out of the church.
If you study history, you will see that around 300 AD was the first change in doctrine, removing many books, and changing the name of the son from Yeshua (which means God saves) to Jesus Christ which means nothing. And the name christ, making him on a similar level as other men who were anointed. Then the catholic church over the years changed more doctrine with different counsels like the Nicene counsel. And of course in the late 1,700’s they changed the bible again. And then in the late 1,800’s and early 1,900’s 3 men changed it again and we have the grace doctrine, the latter day saints and Jehovah witness.
On top of this we now have more than 50 different versions of the bible and 1,000’s of religions teaching from these same 50 plus bibles of choice. With each new doctrine, each new twisted bible, each new man teacher, we get a different version of the son of God that most call Jesus Christ. No wonder we have so many problems in this world. Because none of these Jesus gods can save and change you, because he does not exist.
To bring it back to the beginning point. You are judged by your works. Are your works in Yeshua the Messiah? Or are you still doing your own evil works you think are mostly good (at least good enough to go to heaven). Which by the way if you believe in the grace doctrine, then why go to church, because going to church is a work? The only way to the Father is through the Son, that is knowing him and obeying his wisdom and instructions or commands to you directly. We must hear him and obey him, and he will lead us into all righteousness. He leads us, he does not pretend we are righteous when we are evil. He leads you and keeps leading you until you have done the last work to be righteous. And even then he still works with you to keep you there, if you let him.
