The Lord’s teaching this morning was interesting because he went deep into the heart of a man, and as much as how the modern religious church system affects men with their laws. He also brought up the verse from Luke 11:46 “Woe to you Torah experts too! You load people down with burdens they can hardly bear, and you won’t lift a finger to help them!”
Then he put the two together to make a point which is the men teachers make up laws or rules to follow, which is works. Yet they preach grace without works. They are hypocrites. But more than that he made two points. First how their teachings keep men from entering into the Kingdom of God. And second, their teachings do nothing to change the human heart in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. It actually is the opposite because it teaches men they are good with the lord because of their doctrine and no need to look elsewhere. That lie will put you in hell.
We’ll expand on this some more, and give examples. Because I have been in many different churches, different men teachers. And I know the point of the Lord was to show me how these men teachers are and how they are wrong, not teaching the righteous relationship with God we must have in order to be worthy and obtain salvation. Right now if you are a grace believer, you are thinking Jesus did it on the cross, we do not have to be worthy of nothing.
That’s the problem, because that is what keep you in sin and makes your heart where Yeshua knows what is in you. The same old heart full of lust, greed, selfishness, enviness… The things which keep you in dysfunction and sin? Or did you let the light of the Lord God shine in you and show you these things, and what they are doing to you to keep you with BIG problems. And like yesterday’s post, then you see these problems as just normal life, like there was nothing you could do about them, they just happen. It has nothing to do with your choices.
Again, this is a lie. Our choices of which works we will do is what makes for your life in the future. The fruit you bear is based on what you sow days, weeks or years earlier. And as written because Adonai keeps showing it to me. God will either bless you because you are doing good works because you hear him and obey him. Or he will bring the same problems on you as any other person because you remain in your sin and do things your own way.
Two examples God reminded me of this morning. First when at a church here in Rosarito when I first met my wife some 15 years ago. When we decided to get married the church system had a rule about waiting one year before marriage. Now there is nothing like that in the bible, but OK, no problem. However the problem came in because here in Mexico you must get married by the judge or justice of the peace first. By the command of the Lord we were to do that at around 6 months. The church said no, you wait. So I asked do you want me to obey the church or God? The head preacher said to obey the church. So I said good bye. I want nothing to do with anybody or anything that puts themselves and their ways in front of God.
Second thing was a church we were attending, which a lot of their teaching was similar. The head preacher was saying how he is going to take himself to another level and who is with me? Most went upfront with the preacher, but I did not. Because why? I knew he did not have the Spirit and I did. So why would I follow him instead of the Lord?
Then I had a dream, and it was about this preacher and a few of the people their. I was riding a bike and along came another guy, it was Yeshua. We rode together for a while and then Yeshua turned off but I saw the people from the church, they were warming up to play a game of basketball. I watched them and how they could not even dribble it more or less shoot, it was a joke. And it dawned on me that I had left Yeshua to play with these people.
We left that church also, because of the same reason, Why would we follow men instead of God. When I look back at all the churches I attended it is a similar story, they all had their doctrine and rules, most of them similar except the catholic church versus christian. But none of them pushed a relationship where you hear and obey Yeshua. And as said many times they do not even call the son of God by the correct name.
So the point is these doctrines and rules they have, put bondage on the people, a burden. And they also keep you from knowing the Lord personally, and he is the only way to the Father. You cannot get there by any other means except knowing him and obeying him. God kno
