Moshe did this — he acted in accordance with everything Adonai had ordered him to do. Exodus 40:16
The point of the message this morning is simple and not a new one. Summed up by the verse above and most of the bible, which is to hear and obey the Lord, down to the smallest details. Moses acted and did “in accordance with everything Adonai ordered him to do…”
The other verse Yeshua keeps putting on me, many times throughout a year is from John 14:6 “Yeshua said, “I AM the Way — and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me.” Some translations use light instead of life, but the same point is made which is obedience.
You cannot say you love the Lord, you cannot say you follow the Lord, you cannot say you believe in the Lord. If you do not hear and obey him. Since the beginning man has taken matters into his own hands and disobeyed the Lord, starting with Adam and Eve eating from the fruit of the forbidden tree. Through all the years there have been very few men who have been like Moses or Abraham and heard the voice of God and obeyed him. Instead they heap up their own men teachers telling them what they want to hear, and try to be a “good person” and do what is written in the bible. Instead of hearing the Lord and obeying him.
When Yeshua says he ius the “way” he means you do it his WAY and not your own or the way of other people. To touch on this one a little more, most people when they know you are a follower of the son (most associate you with christianity and a man named Jesus Chrsit and not the true messiah). They automatically think or assume you are supposed to bend over backwards and do whatever they expect you to do. Even if in their minds they know it is not right, they twist it to make it right in their minds, and expect you to do what they want because that is how they see being a chrisitan. And in being a christian there is a lot of truth to this one. But then I am not a christian, I am a Messian or follower of the messiah, not a follower of one more of the Greek gods they name Jesus Christ. Two very different things.
Yeshua continued by making the same point again of the history of men over and over making men teachers their gods, and obeying them instead of seeking the true God Yahweh and his son Yeshua. And then hearing and obeying them. And the other day I read again about the Hebrews in Exodus where as soon as Moses was gone for too long, they convinced Aaron to make a golden calf to worship. Here is the true living God, the personally witnessed destroy the Edgyptians and bring them out of the land to the promised land. And in a few days they completely went a different direction because their own desires and convinced Aaron to build the gold calf. This is because they did not want to hear God speak, they feared him in a bad way because they knew in their hearts they did not want to do things his “way” and instead wanted to obey themselves and have men teachers tell them what they want to hear and not what is needed to be heard.
It is no different today then in those days. As written many times before, we really have 3 main doctrines these days (a fourth if you consider satanism a doctrine). They come from Jehovah Witness, Latter day saints, and the grace doctrine first given by Johnny Sunday. All three of these men leaders started their doctrines in the late 1,800’s. Which to me is interesting why all around the same time, yet all different doctrines and all based on their version of the bible and who they see the son of God to be?
Most catholics would point to this and say “see that is why we are the original religion of God” which that religion is sooooo far off, making their traditions and sacraments the “truth way and life” instead of Yeshua.
And yet the people think in their minds that their version of doctrine is what lines up with what Yeshua taught and what Paul wrote about. How can someone be this blind? That they think for all these years the teachings were wrong and now one of three guys from the 1,800’s now got it right and was now teaching what Paul wrote and what Yeshua taught? And at the same time ignore when Paul was writing to the churches he established and telling them how they were not following sound doctrine and to remove certain people out of the church because they were evil and not repenting. Or how Yeshua said in Revelations chapter 2 y 3 about the 7 churches and how basically all of them had turned from the truth, except a few.
And we can go further back in time and see how over and over the Hebrews, Israelites and Jews all kept falling away from hearing and obeying God, heaping up for themselves men teachers to tell them what they want to hear so they felt comfortable in their sinful lives. Today we no longer serve baal instead of Yawheh, but instead follow this guy named Jesus Christ who never existed instead of Yeshua. It’s the same, different name, same results which is a lack of self discipline and remaining in your sin.
It is interesting to see people believe we all remain in our sin, and do not see the connection to how their religion keeps them in sin by its teaching or doctrine. And these doctrines even teach to disobey and or call the Holy Spirit an evil spirit. Thish happens when you feel darkness in your soul over something you are doing wrong, which comes from the Holy Spirit. But because your men teachers tell you the Holy Spirit would never make you feel guilty and it is an evil Spirit. You quench the Spirit and you blaspheme the Holy Spirit by calling him evil. By saying something like get away from me satan, when it is actually the Spirit of God.
We do this because we believe in the doctrine of men, which in many cases teaches us to behave or think differently than the “truth” in Yeshua. Again, I stress the importance of even understanding what you are doing when you call the son of God Jesus instead of Yeshua, it may sound innocent enough, but it’s not. Because this Jesus allows sin in his kingdom, the Lord Yeshua does not. The Lord Yeshua sent his Holy Spirit to help us to be set free from sin, where this man Jesus is a mediator between you and the Father and sides with you against his father to protect you.
These are two seriously different gods. So which one do you want to follow? The true son of Yahweh who comes to set you free from sin and save you? Or the son who does not exist except in your mind and doctrine who tells you it is OK to sin and remain in your sin and just do confession or a sinner’s prayer and believe it is all good?
Obviously it is much easier to follow a god who does not expect anything from you, that lets you keep in your own way. And when the calamity comes this god comes in behind you and picks up your pieces because you pray to him and ask him to. Which is another thing that makes no sense to me, how we create our problems by disobedience and sin and then expect God to let us remain in that sin yet pick up the pieces and make them whole again? This is how we pray, but tell me of even one time in history where this has happened?
It is one thing to get sick for example and then seek the truth in God, which he will reveal to you, then change to act on his perfect will and be healed. But another to go to God and ask him to do something for you and not change. In “seeing we do not see and in hearing we do not hear, lest we turn from our ways and be healed!”
Many years ago my mom had cancer, she told me one day she prayed to her catholic god and said “god, take this chemo and take it right to the cancer and kill it, amen.” She never changed, never stopped eating trash and her prayer never worked, she died from cancer. A prayer like that never works.
On the other hand when she first got cancer I prayed to God and said Lord can you healer her? And he said I will heal here this time, but if she lets it come back, it will kill her. And he did heal her, here is how.
My parents went on a vacation to Hawaii for 6 weeks. While she was gone they ate much differently, breathed fresh air, drank better water, and no chemo or other drugs. When she came back her cancer was gone. I made the point to her, and told her what God told me, yet she went back to eating the same way, living on a golf course breathing the same air with chemicals in it, drinking the trash water with chemical run off from the farms in Iowa. The cancer came back and killed her.
This illustrates exactly the difference in how doctrine plays out in the lives of people. We live our own life apart from hearing and obeying Yeshua, and when the problems come we do things the way of men, doing chemo or whatever drugs they tell us to do, then say demanding prayers to a fake god who does not exist telling him how to fix our problems, only to have the sin and dysfunction destroy our lives.
I see this over and over in religious doctrines, with the same results. Another example is with the church my wife goes to, a young girl of 12ish got cancer. She was all but dead when my wife met her. My wife taught the mother about good nutrition and helped her recover within weeks. The doctor was amazed at her blood results. The girls still had cancer but things were going in the right direction.
So what did the mother decide to do? Double down on the worldly way and do more chemo, which then made any proper nutrition worth nothing because of the poison from the chemo. She died.
We must turn from our ways, not double down on them while praying to a god to fix our problems in our way under our terms. This is what the true living God expects, for us to do things his way from now on, and in his truth because he is the life and light. And if we do it his way then that is how we get to the Father. There is no other way to the Father and the Kingdom of Heaven. The truth requires repentance of your evil lying way to live. Not to believe in a god who fights against the Father for your behalf.
Do not believe in that lie! And do not go to the “church system” of these men who teach false doctrine no matter what you want to believe about the term “do not forsake the gathering.” Their church system is NOT the gathering Paul wrote about, today it is almost impossible to find the true gathering, because most all follow their own doctrines.
