And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28
So on to the next test in my life, this one a new one. I literally had a guy call me last night and said if I do not do what he wanted he would send someone to kill me and my family. Here in Baja it is easy enough to believe a man can find someone quickly to do such a thing, after all this area is on the top of the murders per capita in all the world, many years taking top spot, this year we dropped all the way to number 5.
But here is the point, what is in you? Do you really believe the Lord Yashua when he teaches to not fear man but only God? or do you crumble in fear if you are actually threatened?
For me my immediate response is go ahead and send your guys, I am not afraid to die. But you have to ask yourself if it is worth spending the rest of your life because of having me killed, because everyone is about to find out who you truly are and what you said? Then I hung up. He sent another text then still telling me to do it or else to which I ignored and did not change my position. No one showed up last night, which does not mean they won’t someday. Which is not material. What is material is how you respond. Do you respond in fear or strength?
Many times over the years I have wondered about my sever training, the things I have gone through. I really do not know many who have faced as much as me. BUT, I am also the only one I know who really embraces the test or trial, not looking at poor little old me. But instead looking at what is Yashua teaching me in this one, and did I bear fruit worthy of repentance? It is not that I enjoy these test and look forward to them. But I never cower away from them either and always seeking the end game. And the end game is the Lord wants to strengthen you, not keep you weak like most christians these days with their OSAS or grace doctrine.
The Lord is working in what you must work out, but are even aware he is working things into you or you are just living your life like it is just shear good or bad luck what you are dealing with? Most people see a god who is not hands on, but just sits up in heaven looking down on us and thinking things like “wow, how could that have happened to poor little Scott” and crying for me. We see a god who is not in control, has no power over us or the world. And therefor he has no power in your life because you do not work it out what he is working in.
You never know exactly what is in you until a HUGE test like this one comes along. For years I have said I have no fear of dying, but then it is easier to say than live if someone is threatening you. And if you are not passing the small test along the way, and really are deep in Yashua, then when a test like this comes along, you will not pass it and stay weak and in fear.
These test the Lord shows me never stop amazing me in what he has done in me. How without missing a heartbeat I am able to live what I profess of not having fear of dying. They can beat me and kill me and no problem. However, touching my family is another deal. I would defend them to the end and hunt down those involved to the ends of the world, if God permits it. If the true God tells me a eye for an eye and tooth for tooth, and life for life. I would have no fear.
Another thing Yashua has been showing me, something we all are seeing unless you really live under a rock. Is all the corruption in the government. With government being many levels of control. The fraud and waste in the Us is crazy. They have almost 5 trillion dollars of expenses not even accounted for. They have millions of people who are over 150 years old collecting social security. It appears we can significantly reduce our national debt, and balance our budget and make social security flush again simply by getting rid of the fraud. But we also need to persecute those who did it. Along with the fraud in the health care system, food system… But instead of people rising up, they defend the status quo?
This even happens on the local police level. We called the police last night, one of the two guys in question was in the hallway with a 2 foot long blade, a machete. He broke into our utility room for the condo project twice. He had his friend call to threaten my family with murdering us. And the police never came. I guess they were to busy doing other things like stopping people for cell phone use or because they did not come to a complete stop so they can shake them down for money. Because they certainly are not doing much to stop the cartel and drug violence. We as locals know who they are, what they own, where they live, but the police doesn’t?
Even in the HOA of a development where we own a house, a guy is building in front of us above allowed heights which is against association rules. But instead of the HOA helping to stop him, they sided with him against us. It would be simple to stop him, just do not let his workers in to work. But they don’t do that. We went to the city and they sent out an inspector a week later who told them to stop building until they show p-roof of a permit and will be back in ten days. The guy never stopped, and with using metal framing will probably be done in another 10 days.
What is the point? There is so much corruption in this world on all levels. It makes me sad and wondering how or why. And it is simple, fear. In my early days men did not have the same fear of death. They feared more about not doing what is right. But slowly it has changed and now we have a bunch of people who simply obey the system and support it, and the system gives them peanuts so they stick with them. With the peanuts getting smaller and smaller all the time. But enough for the people to comply too the tyranny and corruption. And because of the fear facing the giants.
Back to the verse now and not fearing those who can simply kill you or do whatever to you. But they cannot touch the soul, only Yahweh has control over your soul. Because of modern doctrine on all levels of life, with government, with the church system, with family values, with sports… It has all changed and we have very few men of valor. Men fear not eating, not having money to live on, not having the newest flat screen TV or car or whatever. As long as they have those things they ignore and or support the worldly agenda unto their destruction.
I refuse to go there, not because of fear for me, but out of love for my kids, and wanting a better world for them. Which will mean a better life for all. Because what is right is right, and if you are in the righteousness of God, then the only fruit you will bear is righteousness. Righteousness is right for everyone, it does not discriminate. It defends the weak, but try’s to make them strong. Are you willing to let it?
