And so we have the prophetic word confirmed. 2 Peter 1:19
A big part of hearing God speak and knowing it is him is the follow through confirmation. If he tells you something, and it does not go along with your doctrine or belief system. Or someone challenges your belief system or doctrine. There is always a follow through confirmation, normally more than one to make the point. If it is of God the confirmation never changes, but if it is not of God it will be different because the father of all lies, satan is the one telling or showing you it and he cannot tell truth or keep his lies, they always change.
On the other hand a man trying to justify his doctrine will run out and find something, maybe a video of a preacher telling you about it, it could be a number of different things. You can always find someone or something to justify your doctrine. But God does not have you do that, he is the one who confirms and shows you. Your place is to wait on the Lord so you know what you were told is truth.
A point the Lord made to me this afternoon, one made many times now. Is how do you know your doctrine is truth? Over the years I have had many debates with people about their doctrine or what they put their faith in. And the same arguments come up with a little different twist. My catholic family and friends defend their religious beliefs, fully thinking they and their deceased loved ones are in heaven or going to heaven. But they also believe in purgatory and staying there for a while. When my mom died, they all said she was in heaven, yet they went to pray at special paid for masses to get her out of purgatory. Yet they see no conflict in this?
Now I can debate with a christian, and if we discuss catholics of course we will both agree it is about the worst religion there is, completely opposite of the teachings of God in many ways. But when you start discussing their doctrine and telling them what God has shown you which is different than theirs, they defend theirs the same as the catholics do.
So who is right? The short answer is Yeshua and what he tells you and no one else. But then in the Spiritual world, when listening to the voices in your head, satan tries to make himself light, and sometimes succeeds. At least he did early on in my walk with God. Now if there is a new message, a different message, I wait for confirmation. Again if the same message comes over and over from different sources, then it is confirmed. If the answer changes then I know it is of satan.
And again, the religious world runs out and finds people and things to confirm their point. I cannot tell you how many times people have sent me videos and said things like listen to this guy, he explains this well.
I do not care how well any man talks, or what he says to justify sin and dysfunction in a life. I care to wait for the Lord to confirm it for me. And he always does. And the other thing is this is how you know if a man is truly right with God or not. And if that man will change to come to know God or not. If he always pulls things or looks for things and people to agree with him and then puts it in your face, then he is justifying his own ways. However if the man hears you, and then goes to God for confirmation and waits for it. Then he is a man truly seeking for the will and way of God.
As said many times, do not believe me and anything I say. All I am doing is sharing what God shows me. But if it hits you as something new and different than what you believe, it does not mean it is true or not true. So take it to God and have him confirm it or show you it is a lie. The truth is in him, not me nor any other man.
