We, for our part, proclaim him; we warn, confront and teach everyone in all wisdom; so that we may present everyone as having reached the goal, united with the Messiah. Colossians 1:28
Nothing really new for teaching today, but important none the less. Most of it is a continuation from yesterday’s teaching, and how we think we are doing good things, when in the eyes of God, they are evil. My wife and I got talking about what I wrote as she made a comment this mo0rning when we were having breakfast which was not evil as such, but her comment was abut if we weren’t together and if I had an ugly wife, what she would do.
I reminded her we are judged by our small talk. And how the evil one lets what we think are innocent little comments. He takes them and makes them happen. We must really guard what is in our minds in inside us. As Yeshua said “out of your mouth proceeds what is deep in your heart.” So get the bad stuff out of your heart and only let the truth and way of Yeshua prevail.
I also rem9nded her we are not promised tomorrow, that this is about our salvation. Yes, it is a bit boring because my wife does like to make fun of people and things and laugh. But at what cost? It is these small details in life we ignore and think are ok, which is exactly what Yeshua has his foot on as he says look at this and change it. But we ignore the light.
The other thing |I told her, which was Yeshua speaking through me, no question in my mind as all these bible verses kept coming to mind. But this one had to do with what I wrote about yesterday about my dad and his catholic idols. The point made is that God would forgive everything else in the old days and deal with it but not leave the people orphans. The only thing he despised all the way there was idols and the people worshipping other gods. When they did this, God turned from defending them against anyone and everyone, to letting the same enemy have their way with the Jews. In the eyes of God, that is the worst thing you could do. Most of the other things you do wrong can keep you from entering into the Kingdom of God. But as long as you worship a false god, he is not with you and for sure you will never enter into the Kingdom. He won’t even speak to you or listen to any prayers.
Now with that said, he did speak to me and I was catholic. So, what was the difference? The difference was I did not know him just like the others. But when my life was hell on earth, I was seeking him and wanted truth with all my heart. This is the key no matter what religious god you worship which keeps you away from the true living God. We must seek him with everything, and do not stop on things you do not want to change.
The other thing he was showing me was when we were at the gym. He showed me about the lazy people, how they do not do what they need to do to be Holy and Healthy. As I looked around the gym and saw the people. There are very few their who are truly doing what is needed to be healthy and look good. The majority just go their sit around looking at their phones or talking, pretending like they are doing something. It is obvious they eat horrible as well looking sat them. This includes a few of the trainers.
These same people are the same ones who then go home and talk with people and make excuses about how they go to the gym and do certain works but nothing changes. Poor little old me. They pretend, they go through the motions but they do not do anything to overcome. Not in their physical life nor their mental life or Spiritual.
Then the funny thing is when someone like me says something, they are shocked and appalled. Think I am judgmental. But it is exactly as Paul wrote “we warn, confront and teach everyone in all wisdom; so that we may present everyone as having reached the goal, united with the Messiah.” I am teaching in ALL WISDOM so we may present everyone (everyone in this passage is not everyone in the world. But everyone in the church of Colossian) as having reached the goal, being united with the Messiah.
When Paul wrote these letters he was hearing and observing things the church was doing wrong, and he was pointing it out and correcting it. Hoping everyone would hear and do it. He did not have the scriptures to refer to, these scriptures he was writing at the time. Everything he referred to was back to following the Holy Spirit and making Yeshua your teacher. Never about reading your bible and trying to do what it says. That never works, and is why men stay in sin. They try on their own terms, just like most of the people in the gym. And they get the same results as the lazy ones in the gym.
Remember the wisdom or light comes from God, not from man or a bible. |If you follow man and or the bible, of course you will fall short of the Glory of God. And this is why we all have in our lifetime, because no man is born with the Spirit, we are born in the flesh and trying to make our way. The few that do repent and receive the Spirit do so after a very tough time in their life like me. As long as life is good, then we do not need God to improve it. But when we make some decisions which brings hell on earth to us, and hopefully we seek God and not mans idea of a god who does not exist. When we do, we will find him, and then we must remain hearing and obeying unto righteousness. It does not happen overnight. But also, do not make excuses for yourself as saying little by little.
It will not happen overnight, but you have no right to be lazy and paly that game, little by little. God expects results, and if you are not listening to him to overcome it, thinking he is OK with your little by little. Think again! The little by little never achieves nothing. The people at the gym I refer to have been coming to the gym for years and no results. They are the same as they always were.
Do not be lazy, do not make excuses for yourself and behavior. Do not ignore the light, but instead seek it and walk in it when God gives it to you. That is the difference you must seek it and him, then he gives it to you. Knock and the door will be open. The problem is you do not knock, nor do you open the door when the Lord is knocking. If you did, he would come inside and make his home in you, and sup with you. That is when you are clean in the blood of the lamb. When he is inside you, but that does not happen with a sinner’s prayer or any other means than by complete surrender to him and his perfect will.
But we prefer little by little, and to make excuses and be lazy.
