But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
Anyone who is religious at all has heard this verse many times, but do you really understand it or just kind of and claim it. Yet at the same time you are weary and faint and many other problems? As the Lord has shown me and I tell anyone listening what he tells me. The religious people as a sum have all the same problems as the non-religious people, the same death rate, same health issues, same divorce rate… About the only thing religious people are better at is making money. There are statistics showing religious people, especially so called Christians, as a whole make more money than non. So obviously they read their bibles and see enough of it to implement some of the wisdom about money, but what about the rest? Because the rest of what God wants and expects is much more important.
The first problem is making the bible your word of God, and then having men teachers tell you what it means. The bible itself is very clear the word is the Son of God, and his real name is Yeshua. We need to hear his voice and obey him. I do not know where the religious people get the idea that God stopped speaking to us directly and we are to use a bible and men teachers now? Or why he would do so?
When I read the bible, it clearly states that the Son and the Holy Spirit will communicate directly with us, and the job of the helper, the Holy Spirit is to take what the Father tells him, and lead us into all righteousness and tell us of things to come.
So back to the verse and the waiting thing. And as much or more so how the Lord brings us a command, and we do not get it or why and it makes no sense. But we obey anyways even when all your family and friends think you are way out there for this one, even making jokes about getting you committed. And telling you things like the spirit you are following is an evil spirit, which is blasphemy at the highest level. And these are religious people following the world and its men teachers.
So to add to this story and then bring it all back together, yesterday one of Cinthya’s sisters came to our new condo for the first time. According to Cinthya she was in awe, seeing the complex we built and where we currently live with the decor of the condo itself but also the incredible views. When I sit back and look at it all and try to take it in myself, I feel the same way. But then I also know it is the work of the Lord and not me who did it.
So now I want to take you back in time, when I first move to Mexico. I moved because the Lord said “move here!” Nothing more, just that. So I did as he said without any understanding as to why. I came with around $80,000 of debt and $2,000 dollars in my pocket, thinking in my m9ind I would be a missionary the rest of my life and poor. But more than willing to live that life. God did not correct me in my thoughts, he let me believe what I wanted and try to figure out my future.
I waited on the Lord!
Then he started showing me many things, and brought my wife Cinthya into my life. I thought our marriage would be perfect from day one, never an argument or disagreement as we both were after the Lords heart. Again I was wrong, we have dealt with many issues even up and above a normal US relationship because of cultural differences on top of family and upbringing differences.
But I waited on the Lord!
And kept obeying him when it was making less and less sense to me, not understanding what he was doing to me and in me. And what I have found is that his “ways” are almost 100% the opposite of our ways. And that his ways are perfect and ours are not. And that the normal man who follows the world and its ways cannot understand the ways of God when a man follows them. They argue against the wisdom of God as if it is wrong and they are right because this man with this title said so. They completely ignore the fruit or results. Yes the see things, but do not really see them. They see my family physically healthy and with very nice bodies, but do not associate it with the fact we do not take shots or vaccines, we do not eat the trash foods, we exercise. We do not go to doctors and do drugs (except to get stitches or similar when necessary). Basically we do everything the opposite of what the experts tell everyone to do. And it works. The people see the results but do not see the fact of what I just said, they believe the doctors who tell them if you do not give vaccines your child will be sick and probably die, nor do they consult with them about healthy eating instead the y just give them drugs and chalk it off to bad genes or bad luck. It is not their fault according to the world and its experts.
Most all other problems are the same. It is not that the idea of the Lord is to make you rich financially, although he did us. And did so in a way that most would think that will never work. How do you move to a third world country where incomes are so low and accumulate wealth? In the minds of a man of the world, nothing the Lord shows us to do will make sense, it did not even make sense to me when I obeyed in faith to his word to me. Not the bible verse saying something, but the Lord giving me many commands and me obeying when it made no sense in faith, knowing I trust him and where ever he was leading me was OK. My focus is on his righteousness and what he needed to put me through to achieve a glory that far outweighs it all.
I also remember early on, even before I ever heard God, crying about losing my career as an investment guy and wondering why the waste of a good career? We had just went through a BIG ordeal with Y2K and I had just learned about trading and options and many things which would help my clients in any market make money or protect them. And in 2002 when the market was down 17% my clients were up, one was up over 75% that year, she was young and aggressive. The point is many things changed in my life of which I had no idea why and thought like Judas that why waste the good perfume when it is worth a lot of money? God always has a different idea than you.
So I waited on the Lord!
Now about 20 years of waiting on him, I see his work. I see how he molded me into the man he expects me to be, a man very different than who I was and even what I expected to become. The man he created is exactly like what he shows us in scripture. A man of no fear, a man willing to die for righteousness sake and did in a Spiritual sense. A man who fears God and what he can do to me if I do not obey him, but at the same time obeys out of Love and not fear. I truly love him and his perfect ways, because they do make me run without being weary, and to walk without fainting.
This morning one of the biggest straight point things he said to me or point he made is how everything in him is a two way street. He gives a command and we need to obey with faith and discipline. It is interesting because his ways (Yoke is light) yet his “Way or narrow path” is difficult to find. We must work out what he works in, and it is to show the Lord you are willing to do what he commands at the highest level without complaining or crying, accepting the difficult things he allows in your life, because they will come and be very hard at times. But in the end you see how the narrow path is difficult yet the yoke he gives you is light.
So in looking back, and pulling this all together. I see what he did in me. Where I am strong mentally and do not hate anyone, but also do not let anyone walk on me and remain in his truth and righteousness. I see how he made me this way and how it is NOT a path of the world and its political correctness. And many people do not like it and many times speak against it as if I am wrong for not worrying about others feelings. But I go to ask the question, which is why do you let people say things which are wrong and mean and not confront it? Seems those of us who stick to righteousness and defend the truth are the wrong ones for not being politically correct about it, but those who started the problem in the first place are the victim? How is that in the eyes of the world? It is the main thing which destroys you and keeps you in sin and the dysfunction of the world, and you do not see it?
I have watched the Lord take a man who was overweight and getting sick, and change him into a now 60 year old who is in above average shape for my age, not taking drugs. We have an above average marriage, above average kids with health and wisdom and smarts. But then we also raise our kids to do things different from the world, even home schooling on and off. Teaching them to eat healthy and why and even cook for themselves. Bringing them up in the ways of discipline and righteousness and truth which goes against the world. Now they do not follow it 100% as they do not understand and know the Spirit yet, but they are on the right path so when that time comes they will know. And also they enjoy the good life, one free of health and mental issues. They do not have to worry about if we get to eat today or if we might be homeless. We do not live in fear of WW 3 as it appears to be unfolding before our eyes. We live oceanfront with the same ocean and temperature as San Diego, but we do not pay $30,000 in annual property taxes to live like that. The property tax here is about $200 dollars a year.
The point is, I would not trade my life with anyone in this world, I love my life in Yeshua. And everything he did to me and in me, and me following without knowing where we were going or what would happen in blind obedience to him in faith. It was all worth the cost to achieve a glory which by far outweighs it all. These days not many people can say this. Most are financially strapped or even living in the streets. Most are fat and unhealthy. Most are in bad marriages and or divorced. Most have been vaccinated, many times because they had to too keep a job, which is then hurting the health of many. Many live in fear of Iran retaliating on US soil. Many…
I do not have any of these problems or fears, and why? Because the Lord gave me an easy yoke, he made the truths of the bible come true in my life, and I did my part by hearing and obeying his voice. And not leaning on my own understanding, nor the understanding of men, especially men with big degrees and titles.
That’s is one other thing the Lord showed me many times. How the founding fathers of the US put together a simple constitution, no taxes and a lot of freedom. And how the men with the big educations have come in and burdened us with so many rules and taxes and taking the freedom of the people, and the people go along with it as being good for us. He makes the point it is like that in every organization. Most are created with simplicity in mind and with good intentions. And men come in and gain power because of persuasive4 words and slowly it all changes and the men go into bondage to the system. And that system is controlled by satan who makes you think you are free, but he keeps you in bondage to sin and the dysfunction that comes with it. You will never be mounted up on wings like eagles in that system. And the goal of God is to get out of that system. You just have to have enough trust in Him to believe in what he tells you to do as being righteousness and will lead you out of it and into perfection and Holiness.
Or keep following your men teachers who keep you in bondage, even though like the Jews you so not even recognize it as such, and won’t until the Lord sets you free! Then you will know and see what I know and see.
