“It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” Matthew 4:4
This verse is so clear about hearing God speak to us. It literally says from his mouth. Not from a book or through a prophet… From his mouth. Also keep in mind, if you try to make the bible the word, this is a lie. Because when Yeshua said this, there was no such a thing as a bible, nor was any of the new testament written at that time. Yeshua also said in John 18:37 “those who are of the truth will hear my voice.” He did not say they did hear my voice, but will as in future tense. He did not say I send men to write a bible to read and live by and it will be your truth. He said he is the truth and those of us who hear him will know the truth which sets us free.
Again this morning from personal teaching, I see his truth and his way. And I also see how people push his light away and stay in their darkness. This is at all kinds of different levels. But what is a little different this morning is how he showed me this working out in our lives and the lives of those who are around us when we ignore the light.
What we do not seem to understand is if we ignore the light we are siding with satan, we do his evil works. Although he confuses us and makes us to believe they are good works, while ignoring the fruit which shows it is bad fruit. We must always be looking at the works we do, are the results of them according to the word which proceeds from the mouth of God, and if so are they good works based on his truth? Because satan can dress himself in light and make himself appear like he is God to us. But what satan cannot do is he will never make you to have good works by pretending to be light to you.
Many of these works seem harless, but are they? For example I keep seeing more and more videos and articles about how more than 50% of the population in the US cannot pay their bills now and is borrowing to put groceries on the table. Some of the news says the people cannot keep up their car payments and are losing them, which I had a brother in law have that happen to them recently. We chalk it all off as being a victim, but are they?
People have gotten so deep into using debt and living above their means, they rush out and buy new cars with huge payments. Which also carry a huge insurance premium and high cost to fix when they break or need something replaced like tires. I have not had a car payment in well over 15 years. Everyone of our cars we bought in those years was a accident car from California and they were fixed. Most of the time a simple little dent but the insurance company totaled it to make a happy client. So car insurance in CA is very high. We buy them for about 60% of the market rate, for example our last purchase was a 2013 Toyota Highlander with only 60,000 miles on it. We paid $11,200 dollars for it and it is worth $18,000 if no accident. A brand new one is easily north of $40,000. We paid cash.
My brother in law bought a brand new Mercedes SUV, a beautiful car, on payments and lost it. We could afford the Mercedes and paid cash or even made the payments on one. But we don’t.
But the point is these videos and stories make it like the poor working class cannot afford to live anymore. But the truth is it has little to do with if they can but how they are living and what they expect. It is as if they cannot have the brand new shiny Mercedes or Tesla or… Then there is a BIG problem with the US economy and the way the politicians are running things.
There is some truth to the last part alsom because there is a BIG problem with the way they are doing things. But the way the US is doing things does not affect me, why? Because first of all the light came to me and told me to move to Mexico many years ago. The same light also got me into Real estate sales, and or building and flipping of homes. The light also made me self employed so I pay pennys in taxes compared to most. And have not paid into social security and medicare tax for 15 years. The light showed me we do not need a health insurance plan paying $2,000 per month, nor did we buy or invest in anything with interest on it.
The point is we live completely different than the rest. For example my brother in law moved from Mexico to the US, I moved from the US to Mexico. He and his wife went to work for companies and the government. Paying a lot in income taxes to live in CA. They buy new cars, we buy used ones. They rent, we own without a mortgage. The point is they do everything the opposite of what the light shows us to do.
Then I also teach this to my kids, for example yesterday I showed the girls and Isaac (who had no idea of what I was saying as to young). About money. I showed them a silver coin and a $500 pesos bill. I made the point that the silver coin was worth around $50 dollars although it says $1 dollar on it. The $500 pesos is worth around $28 dollars. The bill is paper and cannot be used for anything else except money. The silver is used in many things like computers and cell phones, solar panels and other electrical things. But mostly I taught them how since I bought the silver it has gone up 105% over the past 5 years. And over that same period of time it now cost at least double to buy the same groceries at the market. So in other words the dollar and pesos lost 50%.
Note that the silver is not really going up, it simply keeps up with inflation where paper money doesn’t. Silver is up almost exactly what paper money is down. My wife is sitting on paper money in our home and does not like me buying silver or gold. She sees it as risky, but which is more risky? Holding an asset not making any return on it while it loses buying power? Or buying a commodity which will go up in value over time?
I can give probably 100 examples of why some people have a good life and why others struggle, it all comes down to your decisions and who you listen to. As for me, I listen to and obey the Lord. And he gives me wisdom so we have and prosper instead of living pay check to pay check like I used to do when I did not listen to him. And then blame the system for my lack of wisdom. The system is set up for the elite to prosper, but if you know what they are doing to prosper and do what they do. You will also prosper. The Lord shows you these things.
Another quick example, told many times. When the covid vaccine came out, instead of listening to everyone tell how we need to save grandma or how it was our responsibility to save everyone else at our health risk. I prayed to God and asked him if we should or not. He told me clearly “do not put that trash in your body.” So I didn’t. Now 5 years latter we are seeing HUGE consequences for many (not all) of those who took the jab. And contrary to what they told us about us who did not vaccinate, we are all still alive and very healthy. No side effects from the vaccine.
Again I can give 100’s of examples of things the “light” Holy Spirit shows me to do different than the world and bear excellent fruit with peace and joy from it. Compared to those still chasing the ways of the world.
