But by your stubbornness, by your unrepentant heart, you are storing up anger for yourself on the Day of Anger, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed; for he will pay back each one according to his deeds. To those who seek glory, honor and immortality by perseverance in doing good, he will pay back eternal life. But to those who are self-seeking, who disobey the truth and obey evil, he will pay back wrath and anger. Romans 2:5-8
I suggest you read all of Romans chapter 2 to understand this, however just reading it will not help if you do not seek the truth in Yeshua the Lord and Messiah. As an example last night I sat down with all my family and I told them about Chapter One about what I wrote about yesterday. And how you are going to be evil and separated from God unless you hear and obey the Spirit, and how God then gives you over to having a deranged mind. Even to the point of applauding others who practice the same.
I remember back in my day being like that, hanging out with friends who loved to get drunk and chase women, and how we would boast of our so-called successes and think highly of each other when we did practice those sins. I was a so-called good catholic, even going to a catholic church. And in that church system it was simply going to confession to “repent” as they called it so I was clean and could go out and do it again without my conscious weighing me down.
Latter in life after stopping the catholic route and then going to a baptist and lutheran church, mostly the baptist one in St Paul Minnesota. It was different preaching but the same outcome. That church was growing like crazy, and they built a new mega church. But then they had two things going for them. First a great band that was a joy to hear, and second the preachers were comedians, so they also were fun to listen to. It was like a comedy show with live music for free, or whatever you decided to put in the collection.
Their teaching was very worldly and here are two examples, First one is one time he spoke of suffering and how at least once in your life you will have something really bad to go through. But instead of using a verse like this one above about how it is your own fault for ignoring the Lord, and doing things the way of the world. He related everything to the way the world would fix it. Using a support system and men counselors… Nothing about being paid back each by his deeds. We seem to get this idea when in the flesh that our suffering has nothing to do with how we act. You will also suffer in the Lord and his Spirit, but it is a different suffering. In the flesh you are paid back by the same, so if you are getting drunk and having sex with however. Expect something back similar like maybe a sexual disease or pregnancy… But when you practice the thing of the Lord and his righteousness, then another suffering comes.
This suffering is at the hands of men who hate your message and dispise you because of it. You become the one who comes to their party and instead of applauding their sinfulness, you speak against it, not in a condemning way or judgmental. Although they will accuse you of judging them. But in a way of repentance, to let them know there is a better way to live.
The Lord reminded me of his life and that of the disciples. And how he one time read from scripture at the temple and put down the scroll and said, “this prophecy has now been fulfilled.” And then he was quiet. How much more do you need to say to the Jewish leaders so they understand you are the Messiah?
And yet instead of rejoicing and giving him the glory he deserved, they looked for ways to kill him and did so. Why? Because it was a threat to them in two ways, financially and prestige. They had all the glory for them and did not want to give it up to a new man on the scene, even if that man was the Messiah.
The Lord also reminded me of Paul in Acts where he spoke against their goddess, and the men who were making idols of that goddess rose up to have him jailed and or killed, for nothing more than speaking his mind which was in truth. Why? Because it would cost them a lot of money in sales and he was bashing their goddess as being a bad thing.
Interestingly in the future, the catholic religion would incorporate this goddess into their religion by pretending Mary the mother of Yeshua was one and the same, so they worshipped her as a goddess. Why? Because it brought more people to their religious beliefs, giving them more prestige and power and money.
Do you see the pattern? It is always this way, men want to be heard and worshiped either directly or indirectly, and pretend you are giving the glory to God, when you do not even know him. Looking again at Romans 1:28 “just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.” It makes this point, the men do not think it worthwhile to know God, to know him is to hear him and obey him. Men do not like the commands God gives them, even if through a man like me who if they listen to it condemns them instead of supporting them in their dysfunction and sin. And God is giving them the delusion and handing them over to their deprived mind, allowing the serious suffering to come upon them because of this deranged mind set they have. And then you either do one of three things. You either kill yourself, which many people are doing these days, especially right now in Asia as their stock markets crash destroying the wealth of many people. This is happening today, not years ago. However the same thing happened in the US in the depression and happens even today, just not on that big of a level as the depression.
The second thing they do is turn to drugs and alcohol and other sins, many sins to support the drug use like prostitution and theft. This we see big time all over southern California, the homeless people are everywhere doing drugs in the streets in plain sight. When you see these people, they look like zombies. I used to tell my kids there is no such thing as a zombie, but now I do not because I have seen them first hand.
The last option is it causes the person to seek for the truth because of the pain, and they find it in the Lord Yeshua. Knock and the door will be open. Seek and thou shalt find.
Both satan and God use the same tactics to get your soul. God lets you be deceived with the idea of you repenting for sure when your life makes no sense and you need serious help. Where satan wants the opposite, he wants the deception to do one of the two other options and go deeper into the sin and dysfunction. Taking your life or turning to something like drugs to forget about it.
The church system does not tell us this, so when the problems come most of the time we turn to one of the options of satan and not God. and many times we even blame God for letting us suffer so much when it is our own fault.
Interestingly enough when a man suffers because he is right with God and suffers for God’s purpose, we praise him and see it as a blessing to suffer for his will. If a man says otherwise he is not God’s. This does not mean we go and choose suffering or seek it out. But when it comes we know it is working for us a glory that far outweighs it all, so it is a joyful thing.
One more message, a bit different, but helps make the point. Today when giving therapy to my dad, the therapist was talking of how she helped people who had plastic surgery, and she brought up one guy who had lipo on his chest because it was fatty and he did not want to get a heart attack. And how he came back almost every year to get it redone. He never changed the way he ate to stop it from happening.
Here is the point, the fat on his chest is not what causes the heart attack, it is the food he chooses to eat, the fat on his chest is a result of the food he eats. And that same food is what will cause the heart attack. Removing the fat will not remove or reduce his risk of a heart attack. But in his mind because of the lies we are led to believe it will. The system and the father of the system, satan. Use statistics to lie to you and make you think many things that are not true. Most of them revolve around the idea that it is not your fault, it is just bad luck or genetics or something. But not your fault so just keep doing the things you are doing now and hope for the best.
God on the other hand tells you clearly what is your fault and how to change it. And he gives us these problems or allows them to show us we are doing something wrong. Or maybe even someone else is doing something to us to harm us and we do not know it. For example the food system these days is terrible and for years they never told us how bad it was. And even today they will admit it, but then turn and pretend like it is OK and keep marketing it strong so the people line up to buy it and poison themselves. That one amazes me, how they sell us this food that is making us sick and killing us and we buy it and then go to their doctors to buy their drugs to supposedly fix the issue they created with their food, and charge you a lot of money for health insurance to go see the doctor. All these institutions take your money and health, and the worst thing is we do it voluntarily, believing their lies.
But when the truth sets you free, and you change what needs to be changed, like what you eat, where you hang out, who you hang out with, and mostly what you believe in, and then turning to the truth in Yeshua.
That parable using the guy with the plastic surgery is applicable to every situation in your life. Because we believe in the deception God sends us because we choose to not listen and obey him. We have big problems and then complain and cry and do not even understand what is causing it, when the truth is so obvious and is standing there knocking on the door waiting for you to open and let him in. But we are too proud and arrogant to knock, we prefer to do it ourselves which then digs a deeper whole.
To me it is crazy to live like this, when I know the truth. To the man of the flesh it is crazy to them I hear God and obey him and things turn out good. They see the good fruit in my life, and cannot find any fault in me to point to, although they will make stuff up like they did with Yeshua calling him a drunk and friend of sinners. And did with John the baptist calling him crazy because he did not drink and only ate locust.
The point is you will never be blameless in the eyes of a sinner, they will find fault and ridicule you to make their conscience feel good, and support their dysfunction. I have seen this over and over in my life. I did not ever do that because I never had anyone tell me they had the Holy Spirit and he changed their life so they walked in the Lord and without sin. If someone had, I most likely also would have joined in on the ridiculing.
This brings us back to the main point, which is in all my years up to when I really received Yeshua around 45. I have never met anyone like me today. Why? Because the doctrine does not teach this, none of the doctrines do. So it is extremely rare to find anyone who knows God because their doctrine does not tell them the truth and they never seek it when the calamity comes. God poays
