“If you listen closely to what Adonai your God says, observing and obeying all his mitzvot which I am giving you today, Adonai your God will raise you high above all the nations on earth; and all the following blessings will be yours in abundance — if you will do what Adonai your God says.” Deuteronomy 28:1-2
Again this morning the teaching from the reading of the bible was the same, obey God and it will be very good for you. Disobey him and it will be extremely bad for you. Especially if you have idols.
A part of me wonders why my life growing up was a decent life all things considered being we were catholic and praying to saints and Mary and had statues… I understand a part of it, but not deep. And that is things are a little different today than before Yeshua came. But not different like the “christians” say and we are covered by his blood because of a sinner’s prayer. But the real difference is he allows us a chance to repent and turn from our life of sin from the first birth. Because before Yeshua there was no Holy Spirit. And the people outside the Jews were separated from God and as long as you left his people alone or agreed with them, you lived. If you went against them in any way, you died. Unless the Jews were not right with Adonai, then he allowed the non Jews to destroy the Jews.
Now it is different because it does not matter if Jew or gentile, we all have the same door open to receive the Holy Spirit and live according to the Spirit which his role in this is to take what the Father tells him, and whisper it in our ear, leading us to all righteousness. You cannot still sin and be righteous, they do not go together. The Spirit cannot live in you if you do not repent and turn away and sin no more.
Keep in mind, when Yeshua was on earth and did miracles, he told the people to go and sin no more. He never once said anything about his blood would cover their sins so go ahead and keep sinning. Adonai understands and has changed, he does not expect you to be perfect and Holy any more.
YOu actually find exactly the opposite of what they teach, God does still expect you to become Holy. No man is Holy from birth except Yeshua. But because of his dying and sending the Holy Spirit, we can enter into the new covenant and become a Holy People.
In a born again man’s life, there is his first life in the flesh and with sin. And then that old man dies, those sins are gone, whipped out completely. And the new man in Yeshua and by the working of the Holy Spirit, he has repented of all the darkness in himself and cleansed himself in the blood of Yeshua, and put on his white wedding garments.
That man no longer sins because he cannot sin because the seed of God is in him. It is no longer me who lives but Yeshua who lives in me. And Yeshua is one with the Father Adonai, and we are one with him in Spirit and truth, worshiping in Spirit and truth.
It is a process, it took me about 6 years to cleanse myself, however it should not have. A lot of my problems was I was still believing the lie of the christian church we will never be perfect and to read your bible and try to obey it the best you can and come to our church to listen to our lies and you will be good, you said the sinners prayer right?
Never once had anyone told me anything about knowing the Holy Spirit and hearing him speak and then obeying his voice, and he will lead you into all righteousness and you will sin no more. But you must seek and obey in all aspects, and work out what he works in you. The Holy Spirit is not given because of a sinners prayer or confirmation, and you have him yet keep sinning.,
I am telling you clearly you must get rid of yourself and your sinful nature in order for the Spirit to enter into you and keep you Holy.
I wish someone would have told me that, if they had I think my transformation would have been much quicker than 6 years. And I almost stopped the process. The final step before I was truly born again and knew something happened in me and I was different. It was because of moving to Mexico. When Yeshua told me to move, I thought it was something I could choose and I would still be good with God. So I really debated in myself, over and over and argued with Yeshua about it. But he remained with 2 words, “move here.” So I did. And that was the final part of obedience, that truly showed God I was his.
Shortly after I had a very serious dark time, and long story short (because it is written about before). I called on Yeshua to help me overcome the darkness and demons as they attached me and tried to get me to sin again. But I seriously wanted nothing to do with them and the sin, it embarrassed me enough and left me empty. That was the last fight to obtain the true infestation of the Holy Spirit. I have had many fights since, but now two things. First I know obedience to God comes above all. And second because I fought the good fight and know how it works now, it is an easier fight going forward. The first time is the hardest, you do not know what to expect or how it works. But once you see how it works and God in motion, and more than anything, you now have a Spirit to help you as he whispers truth into your ear when temptation arises.
So, here is the other part God keeps showing me. As I had an ongoing conversation with an atheist, and a christian, both calling me crazy and what I am experiencing is not true. Twisting things so it makes them feel like they are right and I am wrong. I also see a friend of mine who loves trump and keeps defending him no matter what he did or does.
Many times I have said because of Yeshua teaching me, both politics and religion are both the same, they are a belief system, and we all have a slightly different belief system.
Coming to know the living God and obeying his truth to you is also a belief system, but the difference is it is the only one that will save you and give you a blessed life. I have people argue with me about many things, but how do you look at my life from the outside looking in and not see it as amazing? I really have been given it all after seeking first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness. Yes there are people with more money, maybe a more beautiful wife, maybe better kids, maybe a better home. Because I am not the richest man in the world, and there are some beautiful women out there. And some people have mansions on the ocean much bigger than our home…. But I do not know anyone who has it all like me in above average portions. Much more than I ever expected and even desired.
And on top of all the worldly blessings I also see things spiritually which is a part of it. Having the inner peace I have, the joy of the Lord, a deep understanding of his love and what it really is and how it plays out in your life. A good understanding of the things of God. You cannot have this understanding and not have it all, it is impossible.
The problem with many people is they want to be the best, the one everyone looks up to. And they make sacrifices in certain areas of life to be exactly that. Michael Jordan comes to mind. But then they fail miserably in other parts of life. I say this because when we want to be the best, the richest, the whatever, then that becomes our God and you cannot worship two masters. And satan loves to keep us worshipping the masters who cannot save you.
Most people think the blessings of God are worldly like money and success or things. The atheist today used an example of do not associate wining the lottery as of a made up god, it is luck. To which I explained it has nothing to do with that, and actually as a son of God I would not enter into a place like that.
But instead “I see it all as rubbish (all the worldly gifts) as compared to the part of knowing and obeying God!
