“Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” John 18:37
This is a verse used often, along with all the others which speak to hearing the voice of Yashua. And the point he was making to me today is nothing new as well, it is all about how we listen to all these other people to know how we should live our lives. I just got done listening to a youtube video which was speaking to the rat race the system traps us into, and how crazy that world is. And I agree, and choose to not live in that world. And one of the main reasons I moved to MExico when God told me to. I saw how simple life is here compared to the rat race in the US. Even now when I cross I feel stress on the other side even though I know I am coming back.
Many so-called saved men and women do not get why I do not go to “the church” or gathering. And the simple answer is why would I want to go listen to someone tell me how they see God and how we are supposed to live and believe because they have a title and I do not? In other words, why would I go listen to someone lie to me about who God is and what he expects, and then give them money on top of it?
Most believe that even though they see some discrepancies with the men they heaped up to tell them how it is, we must go to church. Is a part of it all. But is it?
Show me one place where the Lord pushed church and gathering? Show me one place where he said anything about following this or that religion? And I will show you hundreds of places where he made it clear he is the “way, truth and light, and no one gets to the Father except through the son.” And he made it clear we must hear him and obey him.
The funny thing is he made it clear to the Pharisees they were following satan and heading to hell, and was blunt about it. That is the official religion if there was one to follow. The Lord also made it clear in Revelations chapter 2 y 3 that the newly formed church was NOT in good standing with God, except a few in the system and the church of Philadelphia.
When I listen to other people or read things, it is not to help me form my mind of who God is and what he wants, it is instead to keep track of what is going on in the world. To know what the devil and antichrist and the elites are up to so they don’t blind side me. It is to learn about what they are doing to our food and drinks so I am ready for their craziness. How they are trying to control us with our cell phones and credit cards and bank accounts… Knowing exactly who we are and what we are. Even postings like this are seen.
This morning I was thinking I should stop doing this because they are watching and will continue. And no one is listening and reading it and changing anyways. I know as it is written that the things of God (the things he shows and tells you when you know him) are foolishness to the world and those who are perishing. So what is the point?
Look at Yashua, he died on the cross all alone, all left him. He really only had a handful of men after he rose to carry on the mission. And those men were all killed as well. And the churches they started were mostly off on the wrong foot as well. Thus the letters Paul, Peter and John and the other disciples wrote to the churches they established.
Yashua reminded me that he said “seek the narrow path, for it is difficult and few find it.” But when I look at the masses of people who disagree with me on almost every point, they are the majority not the minority and their path is an easy one to follow. Just go to church, say a prayer, give a little money. But you do not have to change.
However the Lord said the opposite, in essence he said or it can be summed up, “hear me and obey me.” All these verses about those of the truth hear my voice. And my sheep hear my voice and follow me. And if you love me you will keep my commands. And many others.
People do not want to give up their freedom to make their own decisions, but it is what keeps them in sin. Because when the Lord changes you through his truth, you will change into a Holt man just as it is written, “be holy for I am holy.” The people prefer to hear, no one is perfect, and throw out a few verses to support it while ignoring the others and the context of how or why they were written. Pushing the doctrine of men as the commandments of God.
Nobody wants to hear this truth. Somehow we all believe that the men with the titles and the degrees and with the most followers are the ones we need to listen to. And that God is some being up in heaven just looking down on us and watching like a movie or something, laughing and crying with us. Some big teddy bear who does not care to have a relationship with us.
But the thing is he does want to know you and teach you. One of the greatest gifts the Lord gave me was to have the business slow to almost a complete stop, it gives me time to spend with my young kids in an amazing way. My 6 year old is always asking me to play with him, and almost always I can say yes. So we play, well mostly I watch him play and talk with him. We home school this year and the growth in them is huge versus having a teacher with a degree teach them. I am amazed at my son especially because he is in kindergarten and can read and add and write cursive. He can add 3 deep. In other words he can add 123+456=? I could not read until second grade and it was only “see Dick jump. See Jane Jump. See Dick and Jane jump.” He reads all words, it is in Spanish, but he can read almost anything. But more so he understands what he is reading and why 2+2 es 4, not just obey or believe it is because a person with a degree says it is.
When a son spends time like this with his Father (and mother, which in our case she does almost all the teaching). The growth in character is amazing. And the example is to make the point it is exactly like that with your heavenly Father. Spend time with him. Stop listening to all the other people with the degrees and start spending quiet time alone meditating and listening to God. I am not talking about a buddhist meditation of crossing your legs and making circles with your fingers and closing your eyes and moaning ommmm, ommmm. I am talking simply “being still and knowing God is God.” If you still yourself and your mind, he will be able to tell you things. The problem is no one does this, we are too busy listening to music and other people, or doing work related things which all take our focus off what we should be doing. Because all these tasks keep us in the world, and might make us successful by worldly standards, but they do the opposite of gaining us salvation. They take our focus off the thing or person who can give us salvation, the Lord. There is a reason why the story of Martha and Mary is in the bible and how Mary chose the better thing. Not to serve but to listen to the Lord.
