“Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5
The Lord today was reminding me about hearing him, and how it goes against all the worldly ways. As mentioned yesterday, the Lord expects you to tell people the truth, but they do not want to hear it. And most of them have religion which gets in the way of hearing him. In the verse above, it tells us clearly to bring every thought into captivity to obedience in Yeshua. I have had people mock me about hearing God and telling me to record his voice. But you can’t. He does not speak audibly where everyone hears him, he speaks into your inner ear, your thoughts. We all have the ability to hear him, it is just most tune him out because they do not like what he says.
Yeshua reminded me of a few verses to make a point. “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” “And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.” “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”
The modern religious people believe that God will not and does not convict us of sin. But that is the biggest lie ever. There are many lies you hear in your church system which then keep you out of the Kingdom. Because how can the Spirit of God come in and convict you of your sin? Condemn you of your sin. And how are you going to hear his word which cuts like a knife to the bone… If your religion tells you that it is satan doing those things to you, not God. Because God is a loving God and his son died on the cross for you so you do not have to suffer these things. God would never convict you of sin because you said the sinner’s prayer or whatever nonsense they tell you.
The reason you do not hear God is because you do nto want to hear him. He does not come in and please you, telling you how great you are, because none of us is good. We can only become good and worthy by dying onto ourselves which requires the Spirit to show us or convict us of our sin, so we can repent of it and do things right according to the way the Spirit shows us. Then our works are good, but not until.
Many teach some crazy doctrine of our works will never be good, and add one of two things, either we try anyways and do what it tells us in the bible like doing mission work. And others say you cannot do good works so do not try lest you disqualify yourself. Both are lies. If you truly are born again, where you hear and obey the voice of God, then you will do good works. It is not possible to do good works on your own no matter how well you do what is written in the bible. But it is also impossible to not please God and do good works you were created to do when you do them in the Lord. That is hearing him and obeying him.
I see it over and over, the religious teachings getting in the way of working out your salvation. This is why the Lord Father God sent all the prophets and eventually his son to tell the people to stop following their religious lies and start following Yeshua. We look at guys like Paul who were even killing the early followers, thinking he was doing God good. But God saw his heart and that it was something he would be able to change, which obviously Paul did change. Not because some man teacher like Peter convinced him, but because the Lord was able to show him clearly he was kicking against the goads. Paul really thought he was doing God good with killing the early church men who in his mind were destroying the Jewish faith. And actually they were destroying the Jewish faith because it was not built on the rock, the cornerstone stone Yeshua. They had built it on traditions instead, always changing traditions.
I see many of you the same, you have a desire to do good with God, and you think you are doing good for God, but you are following religion and men who are telling you things which are keeping you from God. And when God convicts you like he did Paul, you call him satan which is the one sin God does not forgive. Why? Because as long as you keep pushing God away by thinking and calling him satan, you remain in your sin, Yeshua cannot convict you and transform you into what you need to be. Paul heard him and immediately knew he was very wrong. Paul asked who are you? And He said I am Yeshua, the one you persecute. You guys do not ask who it is, you immediately chalk it up to being satan.
To finish off this point today, I want to use my wife. She has changed so many things in her because of what God is showing her. She now knows how to love and our relationship is getting amazing. She used to try to control everything and would get really upset when I would not go along. And many times she was wrong. But she has not been to church in months. She wants to go, but it seems it never works out. I am extremely glad it does not work out. Because now she does not have religious church people telling her things which go directly against the will of God. Because the message stated again, you cannot hear the truth in God when listening to lies you believe in the church system which seem good and right, but lead to death. God does not support this and does not fight it. He lets you stay there until you dig a hole so deep you cannot get out and then finally, like the prodigal son. Make a decision it is time to do things differently and seek the healer and savior for him. Who he is and not for who the religious people tell you he is. Then as long as you hear and obey him, not ignoring things or cherry picking what you like and do not like. Then he can lead you into all righteousness.
I know people who say they hear him speak, and many I believe do. But it is obvious they cherry pick what they want to hear, ignoring many things they do not want to hear. And or satan jumps in telling them certain things they believe are of God. Because satan can and will do that. I have heard him and thought it was God before. But over time I have learned to know which voice is of satan and which is of God. And if there is doubt I wait for confirmation. Because satan is a liar, his story will change. Where God is truth and his stories never change. But mostly you will know by the fruit you bear. If good fruit then the works you did were of God. And if bad fruit, they were of satan. Hearing
