Yeshua said, “I AM the Way — and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
Most people do not understand this verse, they take it too lightly and make it simply about following a religion which professes Yeshua as the lord, then you are in him. But is that true?
The Lord was showing me about 3 types of coaches. The first one is a yeller, a coach who yells at the players in a bad way. Like he might yell “stop turning the ball over” but does not give any help in what the player is doing wrong and how to stop turning it over. If you do not instruct the player will not learn what they are doing wrong to correct it.
The second type of coach is the one who is out to just have fun and make it enjoyable for the kids. This coach is not worried about winning, but instead about being agreeable with the kids. These kids never learn a thing, and with the “everyone gets a trophy” mentality we have today, these kids are fine with it. These kids do not want to get their uniforms dirty or sweaty.
The third type of coach is the teacher. This coach takes the time to stop and teach what the player is doing wrong, and how to do it right so they are successful. This coach does not yell and scream, but also does not allow the kids to do it their own way, because he knows it will not work for them. The goal of playing sports is to win the prize. As Paul stated, run the race in such a way as to win the prize.
Yeshusa is Lord of Lords, King of Kings and coach of coaches. No one tops him in wise instruction, not even close.
So now onto the second part of this, which is the athlete. Is the athlete willing to listen to the good coach, the one who takes time to instruct them down to the smallest detail on how to do things right?
When I used to coach, I was the third type of coach, and there were those kids who did not want to listen and even got upset over it because they felt like you were picking on them. They only wanted to hear praise of how good they were doing as they turned the ball over. And many other players would say stuff like, “that’s OK” when they did turn it over. I would always correct them and say no it is not OK, we are letting the whole team down.
A good coach will not let them feel it is OK to mess up, however he also will not hold it against that player forever and sit them on the bench or kick them off the team for one turnover. The purpose of practicing and playing games is to grow better.
Now apply this to life and your spirituality. The Lord is promoted to be the second type of coach by the modern religions. One who only tells you good things and does not worry about winning or the growth of you. As long as you are a part of the team (because you said the sinners’ prayer and go to their church) everything is good.
These are the thieves and robbers the Lord spoke of who climb through the windows instead of opening the gate to lead the sheep out. And the real sheep of Yeshua know his voice and only follow him, not some other man making you believe his doctrine is the “way” to the Father. These coaches tell you what your itching ear wants to hear, and not what you need to hear in order to grow and get better and be able to defeat the enemy in your life. Every opposing team is the enemy, anything that contradicts the Lord and his message is an enemy. Including the doctrine of men which includes 99.9999% of the religions today.
Religion is the opponent to the Lord and coming to know the Father and your salvation!
This is the biggest problem I see today in this world. We do not want to listen to the Lord correct us or tell us how to do something better, and in most cases resent it when someone does tell us. Today my wife lost the keys to one of our cars for the umtenth time, and the last time it was for a few weeks before she found them again. So she left me without a car today because the third one has a dead battery as we never drive it. I cannot tell you how many times I tell her with wisdom, to put the keys where they belong and to always do the same thing. Same with her purse, wallets, sunglasses… Everything. She is one of those people who comes into the house and just throws her stuff wherever. But the worst thing is, as a coach and instructor for many years, I am always telling her how to do it so that does not happen to her, however it upsets her instead of her being happy I took the time to tell her how to do it better so she does not keep doing the same mistakes over and over and over, causing herself and others problems. But she does not want wise instruction like that.
So here is the next point of what most people do. With social media like it is, it is so easy to listen to so-called “experts” in a certain area of life and adapt the things they tell you which is “what you want to hear.” Not what you need to hear, what you want to hear. If someone tells you what you need to hear, you tune it out, go on to the next man who tells a different story, one you like and can relate to, or we make excuses. Like my brother in law the other night who made the excuse of “little by little” when talking about really repenting and fighting the good fight to stop sinning. When it come to sin and stopping you cannot take a little by little approach, it is an all out war with the devil to beat him with the help of the Lord.
But the Lord does not sit there and say good job or it’s OK as you fall into the sin again. He stops and tells you or shows you how you keep going down the same path to sin again and again and again, and how to stop it. But because we do not like to hear it, as it costs us something we do not want to give up or change in our life. We make up excuses and or ignore the voice of the Lord in favor of men teachers who tell us what we want to hear. And if the men teachers do not tell us what we want to hear we stop listening to them and go find men teachers who will tell us how good we are doing and how it is OK, because after all Yeshua did it all on the cross so it does not matter.
But the last thing we want is to hear someone including the Lord tell us how we are doing it wrong and need to change it to do it right. Father God, Yahweh demands you to do things right, and he sent his son to be the one to do two things. Die for your sins as the final blood covenant. And to whisper into your ear the truth and righteousness. And how to do things right so you are pleasing to God.
Men teachers twist the verses which tell us this clearly to be no one is perfect and nor can we be. Because they do not want to hear the Lord themselves and teach others to do the same, just read your bible and come to church after you say the sinner’s prayer, and if you hear some voice in your head telling you are wrong it is satan, because God would never do that.
That is a lie, he is the good coach and is trying to coach you to win the race, not just run in it a little while and feel good about yourself, like the men teachers. He is also not the coach who yells at you and tells you that you are no good and will never amount to anything (that coach is satan). Yeshua is the coach who takes the time to stop you and tell you what you are doing wrong so you can do it right next time. And as long as you are fighting the good fight to win the prize he is with you and will help you with every last part of him. The devil and his demons fear him, they know he is all powerful. They do not want you to know Yeshua and listen, because as long as you listen to the lies that you do not need Yeshua to coach you, and that a man coach is good enough (your preachers and priest).
Make yourself one with the Lord as he is one with the Father in Spirit and truth, because the true worshippers worship in Spirit and truth. And they know why Yeshua is the “way, the truth and the Light!”
