Yeshua answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. John 14:23
“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17
The message of the Lord was simple this morning, which is you can do nothing without him that is worthy of God and his blessings and salvation. The verse from John above says it all, but we read over it and it really means nothing to us because of our doctrine. Everything comes back to our doctrine, because doctrine is a statement of what we believe to be truth. And all of us have a different truth because we all have a little different upbringing and things and people we listen to. It is a combination of family, friends, religion, politics, news media we listen to… Everything we allow in our minds shapes us into who we are. We can not control the outcome from these things we let into our mind, we can only control what we let in our minds.
It is written in the bible to “test the Spirits” and also “capture every thought and keep it in Yeshua.” How many of us capture every thought? Really think about what your thoughts are? And how many just live in the moment not understanding what your doctrine and or thoughts are and how they affect you? How the lies of this world take you in?
Yesterday I was praying to the Lord and asked for him to speak and tell me what he wanted to tell me. And I do this often and then listen. His first words were “in you I am well pleased.” Have you ever heard that from God? Probably not, and many of you will think I am either crazy or have a huge eggo. But here is the point going back to the verse from John and helping you understand it so it becomes your basis for your doctrine or thought process. Because if you understand this one point and live it, then everything else will take care of itself and you also will hear the words, “in you I am well pleased.” Or “well done good and faithful servant.”
Unless you become the servant, you cannot hear these words because he is not well pleased, you have not done well. You cannot, unless you hear him and obey him. And we all are created equal in this point, we all can hear him and obey him no matter how smart you are or how dumb. How rich or how poor. White or black or yellow or orange… US or Mexican or… It does not matterThe secret is in seeking him and his wisdom and truth. If we seek it then everything else takes care of itself.
On to the second part of the verse, so the father and son can come and live in you. They cannot live in you if you do not hear and obey them. Without the Son you can do nothing, what does this mean? Well obviously many people live without the son ruling their lives so does this make Yeshua a liar?
What Yeshua is saying is you can do nothing without him that is worthy of the Fathers acceptance. Yeshua is not some lawyer who is up in heaven fighting for your rights to remain a sinner. Yeshua is a mediator through which the Father has shown him how to live a righteous life, and now because he achieved it when he lived here, all authority has been given onto him to rule over us. Yeshua did not change any rules or laws, he and the Spirit he sent to help us came to help us uphold the law. But they cannot help you if you ignore them and do not hear them and then obey.
This is the main point today, I see so many people living for themselves and in sin and dysfunction and facing serious problems, all self inflicted. This world and satan have most all of you between a rock and a hard place. And it is all by design, and all because you seeked things for yourself you do not deserve and cannot afford. I know because I also lived like that at one time in my life and paid a heavy price for it. Spending more than we made, financing cars I could not afford, vacations, boats, fancy homes… The banks said I could afford it all and juggle it for a long time. But it all came crumbling down when the economy slowed, the stock market crashed, and I lost my career and money. The same thing is happening today to many people, and why we see so many homeless people these days at a higher level than ever. Most strung out on drugs because of making the wrong choices.
And because of the doctrine they hear or want to believe in, like listening to President trump. They believe the problem is with other countries like China and Russia and the brics. Those countries used to cooperate and help fund our spending addiction. But now they are not. Trump makes it all their fault for not continuing and cooperating with the scheme, and they are unethical and or doing it illegally. But are they?
For example in Iowa where I came from, the farmers are feeling the results from trumps dealings. Because China who was a huge buyer of farm products, much of which came from Iowa. Now stopped buying from the US and is buying from Brazil. Why? Better quality, less money, better relationship, they trade in their own money and not the dollar which saves money on transaction fees. These things are not unethical or against any laws. Nor is the fact Mexico stopped shipping tomatoes to the US because of tariffs and started sending them to Canada instead. Nor is it illegal for China to stop sending resources to the US so we can build or make lithium batteries and cell phones which they have done. The list goes on, but the point is Trump is trying to make what these other countries are doing as the problem and they are the problem. But the real problem is they can do business with whomever they want, and for many reasons they no longer want to do business with the USA. These things are destroying the US and the economy all without a war. It is affecting you already in inflation and it is not going to improve but will get much worse, how much I do not know. But you are not going to like it and it will destroy many peoples’ lives. Which that is and can be a blessing in disguise, it was for me. Almost always God destroys a life before he can save it and then bless you. He did with me.
If you know Yeshua, you would know and understand this. But if you live in the US and love Trump more, then you believe a lie and that lie will result in serious problems for you.
The second point Yeshua made to me this morning is along the same lines because it is financial in nature. But he compared how I used to live, borrowing money for everything and living high off the hog. Adapting to the doctrine of the world and the US. He fixed that in me by first taking it all away and leaving me broke and in debt. Again most of it was my own doing, some of it was my ex wifes doing, but the buck stops with me.
We had everything, cars, boats, mobile homes, vacations, a big house in a nice neighborhood… We had health and life insurance, our car insurance was expensive because we drove expensive cars…
Now in Mexico, and from watching how so many people here live without. I also have learned we really do not need what we have or how we live. I watch my wife’s family (who most are lazy and have other issues which is not the point for this teaching). But they live and survive, and have nothing. My father in law is in his 80’s and lives in a small probably 50 sq ft room. No income, and surprisingly remains fairly healthy. He has no health insurance, no car, no nothing, but he lives. A few of Cinthya’s brothers and sister live the same way. And a few others live the way I used to live, on the edge with debt and all the toys. This lesson of living here in Baja Mexico has taught me a lot about the true doctrine of Yeshua. Not what the preachers tell us, but real solid truth because I know him and obey him and he shows me all these things because I listen to him without arguing or ignoring him. And that is why he is “well pleased with me.” Not because I was born special, or have something no one else can obtain. Because we all have the possibilities to obtain everything I have obtained. The only difference between me and anyone who does not know the truth is I listen and obey and they don’t. And the Father and Son have made their home in me and not in them.
When you know Yeshua and obey him. He teaches truth. The religion and political world do the opposite. They have their own laws or rules to follow. Many do not understand this, but when Yeshua came he did his miracles on the Sabbath, and the Jews hated him for it and said he broke the law or Torah. But did he? Actually no he did not, he broke their man made laws which changed what the truth is in the Father, and they did not like it or understand it because they only knew the law given to them by the men who changed the law. They believed in the law they were given to believe. And they eventually killed Yeshua (and later men changed Yeshua’s name to Jesus and added Christ). And they keep changing things to suit their religious or political beliefs. With all these changes over all these years, there is no way to know the truth if you do not know Yeshua and hear it from him directly.
So back to it working out in your life. We have in abundance these days, but it is because we do not follow the world and the idea you must have it all and now. We do not drive new and expensive cars, and then our car insurance is less as well. No boats, no RV’s, when accumulating assets we had very few vacations. Now we travel more but it is not on a credit card, it is with cash flow from investments. No health insurance, have not had it in over 10 years. My clothes consist mostly of shorts and t-shirts all bought from swap meets (basically a garage sale). We do live oceanfront these days, but it does not cost anymore to live here than with no view ongoing. Actually it can be less because we do not need heating and cooling like you do if you live up in the mountains an hour away. And the way I structured the condos we all share in many cost like the property tax, which is not more than the land in the mountains with no view. But splitting $600 dollars a year by 8 units instead of one person saves money, as does the solar and water and upkeep of common areas. And where we live was almost free to me because we built it along with 8 units in total, making money off the other units to make us basically free. It will be free when we sell a couple we have left. I should not say free because it was a lot of work and sweating it out as many trials in this build. Things most of you are not willing to risk, we risked by the decree of Yeshua. I never do anything especially like this without him. And when he gives the green light, know it is going to work out in the end, but also expect serious trials in doing it. It is his way to teach you and mold you into what you need to be. He never gives a green light and then it is like being on a magic carpet flying him without any problems. He brings the test to teach you many things you would have never learned without the test and trials. This is how he teaches you. Just look at the disciples and the test they had. Or the old testament men like Moses and 40 years in the desert, or Joseph with 8 years in jail, or David hiding in caves from Saul…
It is necessary to stress to you that these tests are not optional if you want to be in the Kingdom. We do have the option to say no to doing something. Like I could have said no, I do not need an oceanfront condo for free so Lord I don’t want to do it. I am good the way I am, and we stay where we are comfortable. What I learned about people, about me, about real faith in God when everything is coming down on me and the pressure is huge. Imagine trying to run a budget with spending $10,000 to $20,000 dollars a week and money runs out and you have no idea where it will come from next? And maintaining faith in God that he will provide (now keep in mind I was not expecting him to with my own decisions to build this thing, the expectation was because it was his deal and I simply was obeying him, knowing he was testing my faith. Plus he told me beforehand I would be going through something really big, and this was it).
I can tell you that the move to Mexico some 16 years ago was also a HUGE test, with many trials which I overcame. And without them I would not be the man I am in Yeshua.
I hope you get the point? It was because I went through and did what he expected me to do, the way he expected it to be done, which was very different from how most do things, keeping costs much lower than a normal build. But it was the going through the process which taught me things I never would have known which grew me and gave me a HUGE blessing on the end of being able to live oceanfront with arguably the best views from anywhere in the world. Again, look at the bible men, they all had the same. Big blessings of money and or power from going through the test they had to go through including the Son of God being hung on the cross and beaten to almost death. But that test glorified him to be the only one worthy to open the scrolls, and to be given all authority in heaven and on earth. If he ignored the Father or chose to worship satan and receive all the worldly wealth and power satan could give. He would not have all authority, so he passed the test.
So the question remains, will you listen to him and then obey no matter the cost? You cannot know what it really means to live unless you do. And salvation will not be yours unless you hear Yeshua and obey him. If the Father and son do not live in you, you are not of God and will not share in the resurrection to eternal life with them. Your religious doctrine or political beliefs, or family values will not save you no matter how good they are.
