When these things start to happen, stand up and hold your heads high; because you are about to be liberated!” Luke 21:28
The teachings of the Lord are interesting the last few days, as we spent time in our new home in Zihua Guerrero. And my wife was worried or full of fear because it is out all by itself. And we heard noises like motorcycles driving up and stopping. Although we are close to a fairly used road and can hear cars and motorcycles easily from there. It is MUCH different than here in Rosarito where the only thing we hear is the ocean.
One night we also had the military come by and basically stop at our home. A few pickups with about 5 guys in the back of each one. That really scared my wife, and her mind ran about it with thoughts they would come after us because of our daughters and they would do bad things to them. Although I know many of the military guys are corrupt and part of the cartel, and things like this do and have happened. Not all military people are bad guys. Same with police, many are corrupt, but there are good ones also, which there are NO police in the small town where we live.
But here is the main point, I slept well not because I prayed the military guys were good ones, or because I hoped they were and had a positive attitude about it. Or any of those man made things or ideologies. I slept and had no fear because I know the Lord God is my protector. And even the most advanced military operation in this world can not touch me unless it is granted by God to do so. And if he grants it or it is his will, then there is nothing you can do anyways. It will happen no matter what you try to do to prevent it.
But here is the thing, this statement does not apply to everyone, because if you do not know God and live according to his will, that is his voice and obey his commands he tells you personally. Then you have no protection no matter what you pray or believe.
The more I read scriptures the more faith and trust I have in God and his promises. I know if he moved us to this place, it is for a reason. Although we do not live their full time yet and maybe never will. But the thing is God protects his people, or lets them know clearly when it is time to die. But if you turn away it is another thing.
Two things I read today of interest on this, was first about King Solomon and how even with Adonai’s command to not marry any women from certain areas, he did. And just like Adonai warned, if you do they will pursue you to turn to their gods which Solomon did.
The second thing was another verse from Luke 21:36 which says “Stay alert, always praying that you will have the strength to escape all the things that will happen and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.” This is after it speaks of Yeshua coming on the cloud to liberate the righteous. And many other interesting things which I would suggest you read the whole chapter.
The thing is we see the end of times as a bad thing, and yes it will be difficult and get more difficult by the day. With the things I see happening these days it seems it is closer than ever. Daily developments with the Israel, US and Iran war draws us closer to something big and bad. With really nothing a normal man can do to stop it. The one who can stop it, trump seems hard pressed to do anything different than his demanding way. And the rest of the world is pushing back on him and he does not like it, and doubles down on his threats instead of trying to negotiate things for a satisfactory outcome.
But regardless it is a part of the will of God or it would not be this way. What we must do is what is written, “Stay alert and pray…” It is specifically stated over and over in the bible we are to keep our thoughts and keep them on God. To limit our focus on the things and cares of the world, although it also says we will know about them, otherwise how do the men know the signs of the times and know when it is time to escape Jerusalem and head to the hills?
This is my experience, if you are right with God, hearing him and obeying him. A part of what he teaches and shows you is how to have wisdom above others in worldly things as well, again looking at what I read about King Solomon, he had wisdom above everyone by far. Adonai will give wisdom to excel in worldly things if you are right with him, it is a part of his teachings to make you turn 4 talents into 8 or 2 into 4. In his teachings it also shows you the signs of the times. But it is in his wisdom and way, not listening to some man teacher tell his beliefs and how he sees the bible. We MUST know God for ourselves and let him show us all things and lead us into all righteousness. But if our focus is on the cares of the world, we cannot hear him. The way he teaches me and the way he teaches those who are focused on the cares of the world are different. And those focused on the cares of the world are also trying to use their own knowledge to figure out what is going to happen and what to do to protect themselves and their money or lifestyle.
The Lord has also shown me there is nothing we can do to protect our life or wealth. It is all in the hands of the Lord Adonai or satans. As a side note or thought, the Lord was also showing me how in the end we only have one of two gods we obey, The God of the heavens Adonai, Yeshua and the Holy Spirit. And the god of this world, satan or the devil, the adversary. Many people have many other gods like buddha, the catholic god, the christian god, or any other religious god you want to tell me about. But the God of the heavens, the creator is very different when you get to know him. The problem is his light hurts to let it penetrate us, so most people ignore and push the light of the Holy Spirit away, in favor of their idea of a god.
This morning the Lord showed me again about the god the people want to follow. The none existing god, one who hears the prayers of the people who tell him what they want and expect and how to do it for them. A god who sits up in heaven and is so hungry for relationships he accepts whatever the person wants as truth just so he fills up his house with people. Like he is a co dependent, confused god like most people are. We confuse the way we parent our kids as the way god is, so their made up god is like that.
But the real God is nothing like this. He is a God of perfection, expecting his children to know him and his will for their life and follow it and learn it. In return he protects you and grows you in our experiences. This does not mean you never will face problems, because it is the opposite, many times the problems are turned up 7 times hotter than before to refine you and make you see his truth. We cannot understand him and his truth without the fire purifying us. Although many teach and believe they can by simply reading and studying the bible and believing in this easy going god who only does what they want.
To bring this all together and finish the message. To be liberated means you are suffering from something and the Lord comes to save the day. So all of us will suffer when the time comes. The thing is to be prepared mentally and or Spiritually. So you can endure it when the Lord allows the day of darkness to happen. As it is written in Luke “But keep watch on yourselves, or your hearts will become dulled by carousing, drunkenness and the worries of everyday living, and that Day will be sprung upon you suddenly like a trap! For it will close in on everyone, no matter where they live, throughout the whole world.”
Many of the things written confuse me, like the above verse. Because if we will all be affected no matter where we live in this world. Then why does the Lord also tell us when we see certain signs, to get out of the city and head for the hills? Because it closes in on everyone no matter where they live. It is probably another one of those teachings and tests we must live through to understand why. Much of my life is like this in the Lord, I have questions and then he brings the answer through the things which I suffer or endure through. Sometimes it is pleasant and enjoyable teaching, other times it is difficult and requires serious focus on the Lord to get through them. But either way the answers come through knowing and obeying the Lord, not by studying and listening to men tell their version of their god and how he works, using twisted bible verses and or flat out changing the wording of the bible to support their doctrine. That will NEVER teach you a thing that will help you when the tribulation comes, and to be liberated.
