I really do not have a verse of the day to support what God is showing me, so we will dive into it. The point or teaching is about how even just one man can affect almost every living person in the world. And how one action or work can affect many, maybe as small as your family, for example a wife cheats or husband cheats and they get divorced. Or maybe they just get divorced and it affects the kids.
But on a BIG level, as I was thinking of all that is happening with what appears to be developing into WW 3 with Iran. How the decision of trump to go and blow them up, not once, but back a second time. Now many people are in favor of it and yes there may be some reasons to do so, that is not the point for or against. But to look at how that one decision is affecting the entire world.
First the biggest problem is the strait of hormuz (or however it is spelled). Because of the attack, Iran closed it which then quickly made oil prices jump to almost double and are going higher. This means most people saw gas prices double in many places, and in some countries the gas is gone completely.
Through this strait also flows like 30% of the world’s fertilizer, so food prices are going to be affected big time because reduced production as well as cost to plant and ship because of fuel prices up by double.
More close to home is how Iran is letting oil tankers through as long as the oil was paid for using China’s Yuan and not US dollars. So it is another nail in the coffin, and maybe the final one for the old petro dollar which supported the US economy for many years. Allowing the US to live beyond its means.
Also there is a significant amount of natural resources needed for AI and robotics going through the strait which are not flowing.
The last two points are good things in my opinion. The US needs to lose its petrodollar status and learn to live within a budget, it is bankrupt already and only getting worse and like a rubber band, the further it is strained the more it will hurt when it snaps back. And with robotics and AI, these two will take most of the jobs in a few years if they have the materials to build them, which two of the main things are now lacking, whatever the material is from the middle east and a growing lack of silver.
Keep in mind these robots and AI will consume a lot of electricity, so it needs a lot more production from somewhere. So AI and robotics face a big hurdle, again in my observation a very good thing. When things happen it is not always bad or good, there is a mix.
On a similar note, last night we watched a movie which was interesting as it showed basically how 99% of the people live. Although set back in the 50’s in the US. It was about a couple with 2 kids, he worked and made good money and she did not. She wanted to move to Paris and they decided to do it. But then he got a promotion and a big raise in pay and so they ended up staying. Anyways they drank and smoked all the time, they both cheated on each other, fighting often. She got pregnant and decided to abort it with some home tool which caused her to bleed to death. So he ends up alone with 2 kids to raise. My first marriage was not all the way to this extreme, but we lived a lot of it, especially the senseless fighting. Not that my wife now and I agree on everything 100% and never fight, but not the same.
So a verse did come to mind about this message which is sow to the Spirit and not to the flesh. Galatians 5:16-17 says “What I am saying is this: run your lives by the Spirit. Then you will not do what your old nature wants. For the old nature wants what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit wants what is contrary to the old nature. These oppose each other, so that you find yourselves unable to carry out your good intentions.”
The flesh is selfish and demanding and expecting. As mentioned many times when dealing with clients I run into many self made problems because we demand perfection and are never happy and grateful about anything. You can read some of my past posts to understand if you want. These people affect me when I let them (which I have learned to let it roll off me and not hang onto as it affects you when you get angry about it). But the point of this message is how one man’s decision (even going against the system of the US government as a war has to be voted on by congress. The president cannot run things as a dictator and just start bombing people. He did the same with Venezuela.
This is a side thought, which is how many of us hate Iranians? And how many of the Iranians hate the people of the US? I personally have nothing against Iran, I do not like the way the government is run nor the Islamic structure. And of course I do not like the extreme Islamics who want to kill everyone who opposes them. But the normal Irain family is just like most people and just wants peace.
So trumps latest decision was to bomb a nuclear plant which then destroyed the electricity for many people. And according to him he is going to keep doing this, bomb them all.
Do you get the point? One man’s decision will kill many people, because no one is equipped to live like the AMish without electricity, without fridges… Which by the way is the main reason the Amish do not have electricity and other man made things that can be controlled or taken out. To them it is best to remain without any grid, relying only on themselves.
So as of right now all the Amish in the US are not affected, they do not drive cars and need gas, they do not have electricity. They do not worry about fertilizer cost as they make their own and grow most of their food.
Currently my wife and I are finishing a home, hopefully within the next month, which is off grid completely in the southern part of Mexico for this reason. Because the direction things are going, WW 3 is around the corner if not already started. This is a place to go to to be away from it all, as it is one of the last places any government or terrorist group would ever attack, if not the last place.
Frankly I would like to just throw away my phone and computer and just go down there and finish out the rest of my life away from this crazy world. Living a simple life like the Amish, except without their religious views. Although their religious views are much more inline with how the bible describes God than most. The Amish definitely have gotten rid of most all lust of the flesh and live a simple life. Well protected from decisions a guy like trump makes. Not completely because Iran or China or Russia could send nukes and destroy them as well. Just because they hate all US citizens simply because they live in the US.
A few weeks back I wrote about how trump affects us expats in Mexico with his remarks about going after the cartel. And how as of now we are hands off, but that could change if trump starts coming after them.
Again, one man’s decisions which affect us all or at least a lot of people. Also there are serious things going on in the financial world where a lot of people who worked hard for a number of years and saved a decent amount of money, will be whipped out and at an age they cannot do anything to make it again. Being a man who studied and worked in the financial field for many years, I see the patterns and how they work out, and there is a plan in action which will take the greed of the big bankers and destroy the main investments of most people, like cd’s, pensions, 401ks, insurance products, government bonds… Any fixed income product. It is something we have not experienced in the US until now, but it has happened in many countries around the world in years past, including here in Mexico back in the 1980’s y 90’s. It also happened to Russia (Soviet Union). And many other countries like Venezuela, Argentina, Zimbabwe…
Again, the decisions of one man (in this case a few men) and they legally (because they make the rules and will not lose). They steal your wealth. They do many illegal things and will pay some fines. But the end game is they did not steal it with a gun, they just made your money worthless. However if you do what they do then you will prosper (unless they make up some rules for that also, like taking your metals, your home…)
But again, the point is how one man or a few men can make a huge difference in your life.
On the other hand one man also made the ultimate decision to obey his Father and gave us the avenue to salvation for those who go after it. The Lord Yeshua, he completely changed everything including my life when I came to know him for the better. But keep in mind he is a stumbling block for those who do not come to know him.
One man, one decision and it changes everything for a lot of people. And so you also have a decision to make, which is who or what do you follow?
