Yesterday I wrote about how my wife gave herself the idea to say the top 3 things she loves about me and the 3 things she hates, and had a hard time with the things she loves. How many people have thoughts like this? Statistics say a lot of people because the divorce rate is over 50% and I hear a lot of married people complaining.
But here is the point the Lord made, using something else my wife said yesterday about the counselor telling my wife she is the fire or flame and I am the regulator to adjust the flame. She really does not like that idea, she sees it as a control thing by me. But the counselor made it clear it is a good thing, we compliment each other. You cannot cook without fire, but you also will burn it or take forever to cook if there is no regulator or control knob.
But now lets incorporate the verse above, as the Lord showed me today. The “word” is with Yeshua, not your bible. The bible is a book and it cannot discern your thoughts, nor will it cut to the bone separating. But when the voice of God speaks to you, this is what it does. It convicts you of wrong doing, wrong thinking so you do not end up like the vast majority of the other people and hate your spouse and life. Something brought you together and then the evil one comes in later and tests you with random thoughts to tear you apart. It is childs play for satan to do this and obviously he is extremely good at it, otherwise the divorce rate would not be over 50% and of the additional 50% probably 90% of them do not like their spouse . I really do not see many marriages in peace with each other.
So this message is the secret to a happy or good marriage, one where you love your spouse. If you capture every thoughts and keep them focused on the truth in Yeshua, the one who discerns the intentions of your heart and tells you what they are if you listen. He will in his truth show you clearly how your wandering evil thoughts are the reason for your lack of peace and joy in your relationship with your spouse. Or kids or whoever.
As another example, this morning our 10 year old daughter was in our room, she was asking for her cell phione back to which we said no way. She then took my wifes phone to use it and I took it from her. She then got mad, started hitting me and telling me she hates me and I am not her dad. She then said to my wife, divorce him, he is an old man and not my father.
My wife with some wisdom said, no he is not, but your dad is young, a drug addict, probably in jail and does not care for you. Is that what you want? Because he did not want you or you would not be with us.
The evil one gives us these ideas of how much better it is somewhere else. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I see satan doing this in my mind daily, showing me something in my wife I do not like and showing me how sexy some of the younger women are, putting thoughts in your head. Many think this is sinful and lust. No it is not lust, it is a test, a trial. The sin comes when you allow that thought in your head and start to act on it even if in your mind. But because I have come to know the test of the evil one from watching how he does things over the years and more so the truth the Lord Yeshua has shown me. It is easy to spot his antics and stop them before they give any chance for that sin to grow. God allows the test, but like any test, if in school, or in a sports event, it is a good thing a chance to show how much you are growing and can overcome and defeat the enemy. The enemy only has a few tricks he uses over and over, and the main one is he stays in the darkness hiding, you do not see his test coming and we fall for them. We keep falling for the same lies over and over, thinking this time we will get a different result, but that is insanity.
Another example which happened yesterday is regarding an ongoing debate with a man, one I have not checked yet today to see if he responded. But he must have looked at my other post and seen I know God, he called me a “christian” to which I explained that I am not but instead follow Yeshua, and the whole story I have spelled out here before. An example of how satan works to keep you confused and seeking to justify your position even when it is obvious it is wrong. But I think he is starting to see the point I made of how the cdc, fda… are lying to us. Another point made over and over on this platform. They are a part of satan and his tricks.
But the real comment which makes me think he is starting to see something, even though he still attacked me and said I am full of myself. He said “you really put a lot into this idea of you reap what you sow. Or you will bear fruit based on what you plant. As Yeshua said, a bad tree will not bear good fruit, and a good tree will not bear bad fruit. And if you plant an orange tree seed it will not produce an apple tree. Nor will it grow if you plant it in say Iowa. That is when this guy said you are a “christian” and how he thought about being one but he had his reason for not being. And is why I am actually interested to see if anything I said stricks a cord where he starts to put the pieces of the puzzle together? Or if he doubles down on me being full of myself and a tin foil hat guy.
Hopefully you get the point? Which is, are your thoughts random and you have no control over them? And not paying attention to which are of God and which are not? Are you keeping the thoughts captive to God or to satan by default, because they all originate from one or the other, and if of satan, he knows your heart also and his test is for the heart, he knows which strings to pull. You will lose that fight every time you go there.
One other thing, the truth and living in the truth is and can be boring compared to your life now. But that boring brings peace and excellent relationships. Few relationships, but the few you have are genuine because they are built on truth in Yeshua. And those who want to continue to let satan play with them and their mind, let them go, they will do nothing but cause you problems for no reason. Pray for them to change, but let the change with God, they will not change anyways. However we are also to plant seeds, putting some doubt in the minds of people so they hopefully seek for the truth and start to see how satan controls them also. Debating with people is a way to do it but also know when to let it go and when to not. Which is not always easy to do.
As I end a lot of these writings with, “seek first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness, and then everything else is given to you.” That is why I have everything else I want, good health, good wealth, a good family (even putting up with a mouthy 10 year old from tie to time when she does not get her way). These are all I want, plus if I remain in the Kingdom (because you can turn and walk away from it) then heaven is my next life. Sharp word
