However, when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own initiative but will say only what he hears. He will also announce to you the events of the future. 14 He will glorify me, because he will receive from what is mine and announce it to you. John 16:13-14
The Lord has been showing me through my life situations about sin and where it originates. He mostly has been showing me about things that in themselves are not sinful, but they are what leads to the sin because we practice them and refuse to stop. And most of us do not recognize we have a problem with them.
Tell a greedy person they are greedy and they will tell you how generous they are. Tell someone how quick to anger they are and they will deny it or if they acknowledge it they still do nothing about it, feeling it really is not a big deal or maybe just too much for them to control? A selfish person does not see it, and they will push their selfishness on you. Because if you do not do what they say then you are the selfish one. Tell a person who is always afraid of something not to fear as it is harmful and they will just get mad at you like it is not their fault and they cannot help it. A man who has a big ego, or is puffed up will never see it, if anyone says something to them about it, they push it off as the other person being jealous. That one I know well because I was very puffed up back in my day. Jealousy is another one, we do not know what we do to ourselves with letting our mind wander about things that are not even happening. And then we bring division with our spouse by accusing them of things which then many times causes a fight.
We do not understand what letting these things sit in us and how our emotions cause us so many problems, all because we do not do what the Lord says. We instead ignore these problems, or deny them, or maybe we recognize them but do not know how to fight them off or defeat them in our life.
This is where the helper the Holy Spirit comes in, he leads us into all truth first and foremost. So we understand we are our own worst enemy. Everyone has heard that old saying, but how many understand it pertains to them? Every single person’s worst enemy is themselves. We sabotage our life by allowing one or more of these emotions to rule our life, which then leads to sinful actions. Even if they do not lead to sinful actions, they are still wrong and cause a lot of problems in your life, mostly for yourself, but also for others.
Next the Lord tied this in with something I wrote about yesterday, and that is how as I get older I just want to be alone. I see people getting weird and full of anger. Never have I seen people not speaking to a relative for voting a certain way like now. Or people shaming and not talking to others because they do not cooperate and wear a face mask or take a vaccine.
The answer to this all is what the Lord showed me today. If you let anger, fear, jealousy, greed, being puffed up, or even the opposite seeing yourself as nothing and crying about it all the time. All of these things and more are why it is getting worse. There is no healthy fear of God. Yes we are to fear God, but nothing else.
The fear causes us to demand others to get a vaccine or you will kill them or give them the virus. Which then also makes us selfish because we do not see it any other way and expect others to do it our way.
It is these actions or works of people that are so off with God (even though many of these people are “christians”). This is why I prefer to be alone so much. When I am alone I get to sit and listen to the Spirit teach me truth. Which then is positive and has nothing to do with fear, greed, selfishness, jealousy or any other feelings ruling over your life. It had to do with truth and peace in God. The more I experience the peace of God the less I want the dysfunction of this world.
It is also interesting to me because as the doctrine of religious people gets more and more evil and accepting of sin and this dysfunction. Normalizing it both in the church system and in the government run programs like schools. The demands of these people get worse everyday and they do not see it anymore because it seems it is exactly like Paul wrote, “God will send them a great illusion so they believe the lie!”
The people these days see it as normal and acceptable to God, so why would they change? And no matter what a man who knows God and obeys him says about their salvation, or lack of salvation. They will not repent but instead hate you for it, just like Yeshaus said verse 2 “They will ban you from the synagogue; in fact, the time will come when anyone who kills you will think he is serving God! 3 They will do these things because they have understood neither the Father nor me.”
How does this happen, how can a man get to the point of killing another man who is of God, and then think they are doing God a favor when they are adding another nail in their own coffin of eternal punishment and the lake of fire?
It is because the people do not know their own make up, they do not see they are selfish, greedy, fearful, jealous, full of anger, hate towards others…. If they did see it, and the Holy Spirit will show you this if you let him. This is the part of the “light coming into the world but the man did not like the light so they hid themselves…”
These are the things we must change and then when we do the sin also stops. And the addictions stop. For example as Yeshua said, “he who is guilty of hating his brother is already guilty of murder.” Why? Because this hatred and anger towards another person manifests itself and leads to it. But if you learn to not hate and hold grudges towards others, then when they do something to you, you let it roll off.
Do not let the sun go down on your anger!
The two sad things to me about this message is first of all, the people do not see it. In seeing they do not see… Because if they did see it they would turn from their ways and be healed. In other words no more feelings being controlled leading to sin.
Second they not only do not see it but hate you for telling the truth which will set them free. The suggestion of them not being perfect strikes resentment in the other person, and they normally lash out with something like “you think you are perfect?’ And throw a verse like take the log out of your own eye so you can see clearly enough to take the speck out of your brothers.
But what they do not realize is what this verse is saying. The reason why men like me who know God see these things is because we did already take the log out of our own eyes. We did the work the Lord put in front of us, we put our hand to the plow and did not look back. We ran the race in such a way so we won the prize. We fought the good fight.
So now we can see clearly enough to help out a brother. The problem is the brother does not want the help and is the same reason they ignore the light and remain in their sin. We are called to do this actually, to help our brothers to overcome. We are not called to ignore our brothers dysfunction and sin and pretend it does not exist so we do not hurt their feelings. If we do and continue in the relationship with them, we share in their sins. In most cases it is because we also have the same sins.
As mentioned many times, when I was in the flesh and my sins, my friends all did the same things. We all liked to drink a lot, go to strip bars, watch and play sports, cus… The first thing the Lord God did to me was clean up my potty mouth basically on the spot.
The issue is trying to explain something to someone who has no idea how it works, because the things of God and the Spirit are foolishness to those who are perishing. When I tell people I hear God speak to me and he is the one who gives me wisdom and has changed me, they immediately think I am crazy. I even pointed out some verses to my mom one day about hearing God because there are many in the bible. She looked at me and said “a man wrote that.” In other words she did not believe it, she preferred to believe her men teacher called the pope and the “fathers” over a man who actually knew the Lord Yeshua personally. Another example of ignoring the light and remaining in your darkness (sin). Most people just do not want to see they are wrong.
On the other hand, men like me seek the best way to do things, we seek truth which shows us the way. My success comes from this one point in life. I always am watching others better than me at whatever it is I want to do, and then do what they are doing, and also trying to improve on it. Today the discussion with my dad was about this and sports. And how when I was a basketball coach, my offense I ran came from someone else, I ran a half court press because of another coach. My drills were because of another coach. Nothing I did was original to me, they were all taken from other coaches. And they were very successful, so we became very successful.
Nowadays I have to give the glory to the Lord for my success, because of everything he shows me. His wisdom is amazing and above any man’s wisdom. Like with the Lord Yeshua, He glorified the Father and the Father glorified the son. I receive glory from men for the success I have but give it all to the Father for his amazing wisdom. It is a two way street, God cannot be glorified if you do not listen to him and obey him. And you cannot be glorified in the Lord if you do not listen and obey.
It always comes back to that one thing, hear him and obey what he tells you to do. Because Yeshua did die on the cross for the sins of the world, but your sins remain if you ignore him instead of receiving the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom he sent.
