Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” Matthew 15:14
This was Yashua speaking to the disciples about the Jewish leaders, and we all think because we are Christian it does not apply to us. But is it just about them or does it apply to the church system today?
Early this morning the Lord woke me up and reminded me of a church I went to just before moving to Mexico up in Minnesota, a Baptist church. He reminded me how the preachers were funny and entertaining, and the worship music was very good. Basically it was about a feel good vibe telling you things you want to hear mostly and entertaining you. The building was HUGE and beautiful like many mega churches these days. Must have cost a small fortune to heat it in the winters. It had cafes and everything in it.
One of the things the preacher said one day was about the stock market when 2008 came around and it was dropping like a rock. He taught on it and said to just stay the course it will pass. And as history shows it did pass and recovered and moved to new heights, so he was partially right. After the service was over I went up to him and told him I am short the market and making money while everyone else is losing money. I did not go into details about it, but made my point. He just looked at me with a sly smile and did not say a word.
This is the point, the church system today is as blind as it was when Yashua was around. They still want to push doctrine of men instead of the real relationship with God. They make it about pleasing men, about worldly things, like worrying about your money. Giving worldly advice. And having the best and biggest church to go worship in so you feel like you are a part of something HUGE. When you are in the system it feels right, the worship music makes you get goose bumps, and you feel like the message from the preacher is spot on and biblical. There is this little voice in your head saying if it is this big and everyone is following it that it must be right. This seems to be the biggest part, if all these people are going to it that it must be right. So when someone, especially a lone ranger like me comes along and has actually found the Lord and he is not in the “church system” and tells how he once followed the church system also, but it is not the truth or way. I feel like the disciples when they exclaimed they found the Lord, when everyone was following the Jewish leaders instead of the Lord. This is the same thing as how Yahweh had to send prophets over and over to the Jews to tell them to repent, that they were not following him.
But this is the point the Lord made, it is the blind leading the blind. It is the tombs which are white and beautiful outside but has dead man’s bones inside.
