For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
This verse keeps coming up, I used it a day or so ago in a message, and now it was the verse of the day with biblegateway. Which I look at the verse of the day daily as it many times jump starts the dialogue with Yeshua and what he wants to teach me that day. And when a verse appears over and over to me, I take heart to see what the Lord is telling me, there is always a special message with it.
The first thing that jumps at me is the word “word.” It is living and powerful. Now the bible can speak to us if you ask God to show you his truth when reading it. But the main “word” and what Paul was speaking of is the word being Yeshua. Keep in mind three things. First the bible was not even written in order for Paul to be referring to the word being the bible. And second when he wrote this he had no idea it would end up in something called a bible some 2,000 years later. A third thing, the scripture he refers to when speaking of scripture does not include the new testament, it is only the old testament. Much of the new testament was not even written yet, and most of it is letters written to churches to give instruction and or encouragement. Sometimes warnings because they had slipped and were not following the Spirit of God anymore.
But NEVER was anything written in the letters of Paul to have anything to do with new testament being “scripture. It makes no sense to even consider it. Which then also means when Paul wrote about the scripture being God breathed and right for correction and edification. Again he was not speaking of new testament. He also was not speaking of how many times the bible including the scripture of the old testament, would be changed over the years. Up to the times of Paul nothing had ever been changed in Scripture, although the Jews did add a lot to it making traditions instead of obeying the torah.
And this is the main reason for the prophets and sending the son, Yeshua. Which again Yeshua means Yahweh saves. Jesus means nothing, and Christ was given by the Greeks as they called all their gods cristo (Christ in English).
Also keep in mind they could not change scripture as it was written on scrolls, hand written. Not like today with computers where we can edit and change things easily and quickly. To me it is sad we live in this day and time, where technology is amazing what it can do. And we get so tied up with it, we lose track of what is important and right. We have so many things today we did not have even when I was born some 60 years ago. And we are so dependent on it today, but we really do not need it, especially the fake economy.
The fake economy is destroying the lives of so many people today. Because of government spending and printing of money, it is driving inflation and at the same time incomes are not even close to keeping up. And it is accelerating and not stopping, nor is it going to. I watch how so many people are losing homes, cars, and other things because they borrowed money to buy them and cannot pay it back. When I was a kid you paid cash for these things, which my wife and I still do. Both of our cars are over 10 years old and our prius has over 200,000 miles on it. The people losing these things bought brand new and trade them every other year, getting a new loan again. 40 years ago loans were not as readily available as now.
Medicine is another fake thing we have bought into. We have a cold and we run to the doctor and get some meds. We even get shots to supposedly protect us from getting sick in the first place.
The fake gospel is also destroying people’s lives, as it is all inter related. We either sow to the world or to the Spirit and God. If you are listening to people who tell you that the word is the bible and to live by it, you lose out on so much, the very thing that can save you and teach you. Yeshua is your savior, your teacher, your Lord and God. He is the wise counselor, your doctor. If you do not hear him and make him your word, you will lose out and suffer.
The reason my wife and I live the way we do is because we hear and obey the Lord. Not the bible, the Lord. He changes you so you do not need the latest car, but are more satisfied with an older car paid for and gets excellent gas mileage. You do not need the biggest fanciest home, but enjoy not owing anything to anyone. And then are able to buy a second home to rent, then a third, a fourth… All with cash, not a loan. The Lord made it clear to me that everything we do is important to him, to do it right, his way. He discerns the intentions of the heart, and then the things which are bad in our heart he changes them if you let him. If you do not let him, you stay in the sin.
I lived the same as most people even up to 15 years ago, always broke, spending everything I made. Always with loans, trading up cars, and homes. I still have traded up on both, but always with cash when it presented itself to do so. Yeshua made it clear we are to not be a slave to money and have loans. But he also made it clear to multiply and turn 2 talents into 4… There is this balance between doing well with what God gives you, yet not getting to where you worship it instead of God. He wants you to have success in all aspects of your life, but the problem when we do it without knowing him and obeying what he tells us, is that it gives us bad things, like a big head and the desire to always have more. We are never satisfied. In Yeshua I am more than satisfied, sometimes it overwhelms me to see what Yeshua has done in my life and with his financial blessings. I still have no idea what it is all for, nor do I care. I just keep obeying him.
Like writing these messages and trying to lead people to the Messiah, to disciple them. It is out of obedience, but to me I do not get it. I see zero results from it, it appears it is exactly what God said through different people about how in the end of times the people will be lovers of self, having a form of godliness yet denying him his power. Following the delusion, the lie.
Anyone who really knows me, the new me as of the last 15 years. Can easily see how amazing the life we live is. I give all the glory to God, and tell them it is only because of knowing and obeying the Lord. I make it clear this is what God expects, nothing more or less. In his perfect way then your life becomes as perfect as it can get in a broken world.
This is what Yeshua expects of us, to disciple the nations to him, Not to a bible or church system. To him. He is the one who discerns the heart and can change it into something special, if you let him. This is why my life is amazing, I let him have his way with me, and my wife is letting him have his way with her. The results speak for themselves. The results are not because I am something special, do not take it as me bragging because of the success. The results and success is because of Yeshua. He is the one with the extreme wisdom, I just learned it from him as a good student listening to my perfect teacher. And so should you!
