‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed… So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. Matthew 25:26,28
The Lord has been showing me two main things lately and tied them together nicely in the night and into this morning. Part of it is because of a facebook post I saw about how bad trump is and the Christians who support him because of how in his new tax bill he cut taxes for the rich and cut programs for the poor.
A second thing is something’s my wife is saying using bible verses to justify her ways of doing things, well actually she never really gave me any verses, she just said it was biblical without providing anything to support it. This had to do with enabling some of her family to be lazy by giving them money and food. When her family is capable of working to provide their own food, but are either lazy or to proud to work lower jobs.
The third thing is a friend who is struggling financially who keeps pushing the story in Acts of how everyone sold all they had and put it in a slush fund and paid it out as each person needed. And how we should do this also. While ignoring how he spent money foolishly over the years when he had the extra to saver and get ahead for these rainy days.
For now we will leave these stories and many other I could come up with to go onto the next point God is showing me, which is in regards to the first verse from John 18. Now most people make the “truth, way and light” a combination of three things. Their bible, their religion and their preacher. They know things about the son of God, but because this is their idea of truth, they do not know the truth.
If we focus on what Yashua said, and the context of the word he used. He said clearly those of the truth WILL hear my voice. Not did, but will as in the future. Also keep in mind he knew he was about to be crucified within a few hours, so how could he say a future tense word if he would not speak to us in the future through his Spirit? Keep in mind Yashua also many times mentioned hearing his voice and following him, see John chapter 10.
This is why our works are evil in his sight, because his idea of what we are supposed to do with the Spiritual gifts, financial gifts, physical and meant gifts we are given, are very different than what God expects. And the second part of this is how the truth sets you free from sin.
Because this morning once again I woke up early and the Lord was showing me my past sins, mostly sexually speaking but also some drunken nights. He made the point I went to my catholic church, read my bible, listened to my priest and eventually preachers in other christian denominations. All the while in my mind my ways and my sin was OK. But how in the Messiah and his truth I was set free. How? Simple, he comes in and shows you who you are in his eyes, telling you what you need to stop doing sand what you need to start doing. He then lets you see your past sinful nature, which maybe it is satan trying to bring you back by enticing, maybe it is God showing you. But either way, and assuming it is from satan, you know the truth. And the truth reminds you how you felt in that sin, the darkness and emptiness in your life. How that sin keep you going back to your puck and you had no control over it. The Messiah also then shows you how complete you feel in his truth which set you free from all that and the peace, joy and real Love in your heart. And how you never want to go back to that old way of living.
How does he do this? Because he speaks to you. Again, when he said they WILL hear my voice, this is what he meant, you hear him speak. Those who are his hear him and obey him. Not a religion, a book or a preacher, but him.
So lets tie this in with the lazy servant verse and the examples given. First the trump deal. Because in this mans mind it was not of God and his way to take from the poor and give to the rich. But he ignores a few things, which the first is the system is so corrupt that what is supposed to be going to the poor in the world ends up in the pocket of the extreme rich who then are using it to destroy the country you think your supporting. Namely you. The second part is who gets the money and help. I can tell you after living here in Mexico for 15 plus years and seeing and working with people who are “poor” and make very little money. That there is a reason why. The short is they work all week, making little money and then spend it on alcohol, drugs and women, then on Monday they are broke again.
Do you really want your hard earned money going to a man like this? So a guy can go out and get drunk and high and cheat on his wife with a hooker? On your dime? Now this is not all the men, but by far the majority of them.
On the other hand, as an example. One of good friends who I use a lot to do work for me. He I have helped. Not by going to the government and helping him get assistance. But by financially helping him. This man is like me, he had his days of sin, but no more. He does not do drugs, does not drink at all, early to bed and early to rise. Here in Baja, working for other men as a handy man you cannot get ahead. You will spend your money on food and rent easily. So to help a man like this, when Yashua tells you to. Is what he has in mind, because this is not a lazy and wicked servant. And to help him so he can buy a few tools and a car so he can work for himself and then make decent money and get ahead. |And then he can keep using the extra money he makes to buy even more tools to do more work. This is what Yashua wants, I know because he shows me.
With my wife’s family, I did help out her dad once, I bought him some tools to do some work for us. He sold the tools at a pawn shop, took the money and got drunk for a few days. So I then not only had money lost but had to find me another carpenter to do the work.
So the point seems obvious doesn’t it? Which is we do not just give money away to a government so they can help themselves to your money getting filthy rich and give a few pennies to the poor to justify the slush fund, and those few pennies only serve to keep the people lazy and in sin. Because that is the will of the god of this world satan. It is not of the Farther God. Although most religions, especially the catholic church will say it is. Doing this, we are doing exactly the opposite of the will of God, we are taking from the one who worked hard, disciplined themselves to save money and grow the Kings Kingdom. And giving it to the one who was lazy and evil. And one who will be bound hand and foot and thrown into the outer darkness. The first two who grew the money or talents given were invited into the Kingdom and given much to rule over in heaven.
In 2 Thessalonians 3:10 Paul wrote “If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.” And there are other verses which support what I am saying about just giving money away to whoever they think deserves it. Because the funny thing is our vision is short sighted. Because we are looking at taking care of a short term need which then leaves the man lazy and evil and heading to hell. Where if we let them go through tough times and they had to work and start to do the right things, they might change and come to know God. I went through hell on earth and it is what caused me to seek for God and truth. We think we are doing the will of God when we are actually getting in his way.
Another bible story to make a point, not because I am trying to make my point based on my bible knowledge. But because the truth, Yashua, put it on my mind to share. It is from John 6 and the story of Yashua feeding the 5,000 men one day and then when they came back for food the second day, he made it clear they were seeking him for the wrong thing. They should not seeking him for free food and handouts. But seek him for truth and righteousness.
Do you think God could not feed everyone in the world? Yashua turned a few fish and loafs of bread into enough to feed 5,000 men plus women and children and had extra left over. Do you really believe he needs us to feed the world through our taxes? So if he can feed the world, then why are there people starving especially in places like Africa? And some serious poverty here in Mexico? Why does he not feed them?
Simply put they are not his children. If they were he would feed them, Yashua said clearly do not worry about what you will eat… Does the Father not feed the birds of the air who neither flock nor sow?
To tie it all together, we simply need to know God and he will take care of us and prosper us. This is not the prosperity gospel, because that gospel focuses on your wealth.. This truth focuses on your obedience to God and then letting him take care of the details. If there is a need he will meet it, maybe with someone like me who he puts on my heart to help get through a tough situation and then he has the tools to work for himself to make a good and honest living. The goal of God is to not keep you in sin and poor, it is to build you up in his truth and righteousness and prosper you. The reason why very few get out of sin and prosper is because they do things their own way and in their own truth based on the three things they believe to be the truth, way and light. Their bible, religion and preachers. Once you stop listening to them and start listening to the real “TRUTH” named Yashua. Then it all starts to change for the good according to the perfect will of God. Any other way keeps you in sin and bondage. And in most cases poor. There are way more people poor in this world, many starving. Than who have money, and it is getting worse as they keep taxing the middle class to give to the poor while making it where the elite do not pay taxes, instead they skim off the programs they set up in the government to take the money from the middle class people and give to the poor. They are laughing all the way to the bank, and so is their father, satan.
