Unless the Father calls you!

No one can come to me unless the Father — the One who sent me — draws him. And I will raise him up on the Last Day.  John 6:44

This morning I read the above verse, and then the Lord showed me a few things, mostly about people I know who died and told me they were “christian” so their salvation was in place.  One of which I had a deep conversation with trying to get her to understand, but she couldn’t or wouldn’t.  She kept on saying she accepted and received Christ when she was 10 years old.  But when I mentioned the hearing and obeying part of the Lord, she did not react.  She either did not believe what I was saying or thought I was crazy or both.  But it was obvious from the conversation she did not get the call from the Father and then repent of what the light showed her.

As Yeshua also said, we are not to judge, however if you judge your judgment will be correct.  Now what he is saying is, I am not judging her, she is wherever she is.  But what I am saying is I know what the judgment is based on.  And I know how this lady lived, and that if she did not take what I said or just on her own, seeked the Lord and his righteousness and then repent of what he showed her.  If she did not then salvation is not hers, and I would bet she never did based on our conversation.

A second one the Lord showed me was a brother in law who died at a young age of around 40 from a brain aneurysm.  He was atheist, did not believe there was a God because of the problems he was going through with his wife.  Saying how could there be a God who would allow this kind of suffering.  And no matter what we said he would not listen and repent to understand.  He had a catholic funeral and everyone is saying how good of a guy he is and surely in heaven.  Well from man’s viewpoint he was a good guy, but from God’s, not so much.  But I do know just because he was a good guy in the eyes of other men and had a catholic funeral, it has nothing to do with salvation.

The third person is my mom who died from cancer.  Up to the end she was the same person, and never left her catholic faith.  Had her idols, praying to saints and Mary and all kinds of religious things they teach.  The night she died I had a vision of her leaving me, as if pulled out of my soul.  And she drifted away into outer darkness.  I have no doubt here she is, unfortunately.

The last guy God reminded me of was a client and sort of neighbor.  I can see down on his house below us.  This guy and his wife were “christians” as well.  He was way overweight and had a serious drinking problem.  Amongst other things.  But it was obvious he was not living a righteous life.  Now maybe he also repented at the end, as he did call me one day and said the doctors told him he is going to die, because of bad lifestyle.  It was not long after that he did die, but he had time to really seek the Lord.

Which brings us to the point.  The Father calls the people he knows have a heart he can shape into his own.  In order to do this, your heart or spirit must be broken so your heart can be changed.  With my brother in law he was broken, but he did not seek or repent so the Lord knew he could not change him.  My neighbor, I hope for his sake he did repent.

It is hard to understand and explain exactly how this all works or comes together.  But it does require us to have a heart which the Lord can work with.  One who he knows will repent when shown the light, and listen and obey him.  This is achieved with two things, first is you are really seeking the Lord.  And the minute you start seeking (at least for me and others I know) then all hell breaks loose, as if satan is both punishing you for seeking and leaving him, and fighting to keep you by the way he did the brother in law.  When these BIG problems come, you get upset and think there can be no god or he doesn’t love me, and you give up.  Either way the goal of satan is to keep you beat up or full of your own pride and out of the Kingdom of God.

The goal of God is to send you through the fiery trials of life to break you so you are low in spirit and able to hear the Lord’s Holy Spirit.  What satan (or men) mean for bad, God is using for good.  He uses satan, and satan knows it.  And in the end satan wins more souls than he loses, and by far.  But it takes the serious trials or problems in order for us to start to wake up and wonder what is going on, and then hopefully you seek God so The Father calls you.

Yeshua stands at the door knocking, will you let him in?  This is the next part.  You get the call from the Father and then Yeshua steps in and starts to teach you his truth, do you listen and learn from him?  Will you take on his yoke, for his yoke is easy. His burden is light.  Or will you ignore or push off the light because it hurts too much?

That is it, this is your judgment.

One last point which was made yesterday which kind of goes along with this same thing.  An old saying which says “tough times make strong men.  Strong men make good times.  Good times make weak men.  Weak men make bad times.”  And the cycle continues.  As I have been reading in the bible, it is like that.  Over and over the men repented and everything was good, then the next King came along and did evil in the eyes of God and it was bad for them.  Over and over, however, there were many more evil kings than the few good ones.

The thought in my head is to hopefully break this cycle with my kids.  To teach them to hear and obey the Lord no matter the cost to them.  That it is the only way to the Father is through the son, obeying him.  And to make sure they know troubles will come, and some seriously tough times, but when they come to draw near to God so he draws near to them.  So they learn the right doctrine and come to know the light and truth which sets them free.

I do pray for many people also that they will come to the light and come to understand the ways of the Lord.  I also know it is not achieved by an infant baptism or a sinner’s prayer and water baptism and grace.  I know it takes real repentance, real obedience to the voice of God in every single situation.  Not just the ones which are easy to obey, but all of them.  And then let the cookie crumb the way it will.  But in the end you get to eat the crumbs and it does not matter how big or small the pieces are.  It is yours for the taking.

The above words are full of bible verses which you might or might not recognize.  Which makes a point that is how the Lord teaches many times.  Hitting you with verse after verse after verse. Unless the Fatehr calls you
