Or don’t you know that your body is a temple for the Ruach HaKodesh who lives inside you, whom you received from God? The fact is, you don’t belong to yourselves; for you were bought at a price. So use your bodies to glorify God. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
It is never a mistake or coincidence with God how he teaches. How the same subject just keeps coming up in many different ways. Today is a good example.
For weeks now the Lord has been showing me about the temple of the Holy Spirit, your body if you make it one. If you do not then you are not of God.
For whatever reason this one subject is taboo in the church systems. Even the one my wife goes to which is heading in the right direction in their teaching of hearing and obeying. But I look around the church and the people are the same as everyone else, more than half are fat. And no one says a word about it.
It is one thing to teach truth, and another to hold yourself and the gathering of the church accountable to the truth. It makes you a hearer but not a doer. It seems to be a balancing act in this church of wanting to tell the truth, but to avoid or ignore certain things to not offend anyone and make them leave the church. They had a pretty big departure of people already because of dismissing the grace doctrine.
Back to the part of coincidence, because with getting my blood tested and my dads, and having a few things out of line. And then correcting them so they no longer are. Having this verse be the verse of the day at this moment in time, is telling me something. This is how God works, he starts on a subject that is in your life and keeps bringing more and more information into the mix to help you understand. The one part of it this time is what is causing some of the issues. None of which are extra high and a big problem. But a few things are borderline high, like my triglycerides and LDL. My fatty liver problem went away with fasting and abstaining from drinking my wine. But these other two are still elevated a little. And I am not sure why?
If you read about these, as with almost everything. It all comes down to basically four issues. Eating or consuming too many sugars, trans fats and or bad carbs. And lastly alcohol. Being the alcohol was cut back and cleared up the fatty liver, it seems unlikely it is causing these other two issues. But when I look at the other culprits, I rarely or never consume any of them. I never use sugars, except raw honey. No bread anymore or other bad carbs. I eat rice but only whole grain, same with wheat when I eat it.
The only thing I can think of is these evil men who changed all our diets are adding things to our food we do not even know about. Which I know is true to a point, as yesterday my wife was watching a video and it said starbucks coffee has additives that can give you cancer. Why do we need anything added to coffee? It does not spoil or get bad.
I do not drink starbucks coffee, but what if they add it to the others also?
Back to the point, I am praying and seeking the Lord to reveal to me what is the cause? And maybe it is not a thing to worry about, as it might be something else he is showing me. And deep down inside I think I know what it is. Which is to get the ranch going and grow our own foods as much as possible. Even when you think you are eating healthy, like lettuce and other veggies, it is mostly sprayed with chemicals and causing problems. There are studies showing this to be true, yet they do not publicize them much because it would look bad for the agenda.
But regardless, growing our own veggies without any chemicals is not going to hurt us, and will help. But back to the main point, which is it is heavy on my mind to get these going as soon as possible. And at the same time it is difficult because we do not have the extra money right now to really do what we need to do. We have three issues which are costly. First a water source. Second protection not only from theft from men, but also theft from animals. For example we planted a cactus to harvest nopalies to eat, and something ate the cactus to the ground.
The third issue is we have a natural dry river running through the land, we need to build up our areas for the cabin and garden or they will be washed away. We also have to build up the area where the animals will live.
So it makes no sense to plant these veggies to have them die from lack of water and or be eaten by everything and everyone except us. And it is going to cost some money to get these things. Money I thought by now we would have, but do not as of yet. However I am expecting it soon. Hopefully and expecting it within the next 4 months.
So it becomes a process to which I do not know the answer to as of yet? On the one hand I know we need to get it done, on the other hand I am waiting patiently for the Lord to provide and make it happen. The things I am waiting on I thought would have happened already, but have not. It is in his hands not mine.
Over the years I have written about this subject of waiting on the Lord, and how he works. We know something and run out trying to make it happen only to end up with defeat because we did not wait on God, and or made our own choices. A great example is our ranchito in southern Mexico, we had traveled over a few years to different parts of Mexico, and looked in each place. Thinking it would be perfect but they never felt right, until we went to this place. The Lord made it clear to buy there, so we did and built most of it out already. If we had to, we could live there full time. However we do need to make a few adjustments. And if push came to shove I could sell some metals to finish it off. And have thought about doing that. BUT, without confirmation from God to move forward, I sit still waiting and seeking. But no answer.
This seems crazy, because we all want to move forward now in life and not wait. Yet one of the main gifts of the Holy Spirit is patients. It is actually listed as the first one in the definition of love. Love is patient….
No one has patients from birth, it is a learned trait. And the Lord is teaching me about it because I really lack it, or did lack it. These days I am more apt to sit back and wait, because I know if I move forward on my own I hinder the work of the Lord in my life. And I also know he has his way and time for everything, and who am I to push his timeline? Or direct his paths?
Paul wrote in Romans 12:9-12 “Love each other devotedly and with brotherly love; and set examples for each other in showing respect. Don’t be lazy when hard work is needed, but serve the Lord with spiritual fervor. Rejoice in your hope, be patient in your troubles, and continue steadfastly in prayer.”
Keep in mind what prayer is. It is not about asking the Lord for things, real prayer is seeking the will of God for your life and then living it or being doers of the word he gives you. It is more about being a hearer than a demander. Most people today only demand things of God when they pray, like give me this and that and the other thing, and give it to me now. We all want what is best for us, but a man of God understands what is best for us and everyone else is only what the Lord has in store for you, not what you think is good for you or best for you, and then pray to get it. A true man of God who knows God also knows to listen to him and do what he says and then the best things in life are given to him. Many times it is something you would have never seeked for yourself. For example moving to Baja Mexico. I seemed to know I would move to Mexico someday but my few times visiting Baja I never liked it and would have never chosen here to live. I liked Cancun a lot more and thought I would live in that area. But the Lord said move here (to Baja) and not to Cancun. And when we visited the Cancun area for our ranchito, it was not the right place. And I know why. It is all show, a gorgeous place to live but very little to do with what is important, and why we would have a place like this. This ranch is about survival and or eating healthy. Not about lush useless gardens sprayed with pesticides that look good but you cannot eat, and instead put toxins in the soil around you. Where we bought it is the opposite, I see it beautiful because it is full of food, like coconut trees and mangos, excellent fishing and many ranches with few people around. Cancun is over-developed with millions of people visiting annually. This area very few visit and only around 1,500 live there.
The point is when we make decisions of what we want and where to live, it is based on our desires and not what our needs are. And then when the droughts come we suffer (droughts can mean many different problems, not just lack of water).
In God there are no droughts, he can bring ravens to feed you and give you a small little creek. Or make olive oil to continue to pour out well past the days it should. God can make mana fall from heaven and the quail to fly so low you simply grab them out of the air. But you also have to know God and obey him for these things to happen. Elijah obeyed God when he stayed by the creek and then again when he went to the widow. And Moses obeyed God when he told the Hebrews to pick up only what they needed for the day of mana. These two men not only saved their own life by obedience but also the lives of others. The widow and her son would have died if not for Elijah. And all the Hebrews would have perished if not for Moses and him knowing and obeying Adonai.
The point is seek the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul, and then obey what he shows you. He will lead you unto all righteousness and truth and make you holy if you let him. If you do not and only do as you always did, which is dictate to God what you want and demand it. The first finds God and comes to know him and receives HUGE blessings from him. The second keeps seeking for its selfish things and never gets anything from God.
Seek first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness, and then everything else will be given to you!
