“As for the towns of these peoples, which Adonai your God is giving you as your inheritance, you are not to allow anything that breathes to live. 17 Rather you must destroy them completely — the Hitti, the Emori, the Kena‘ani, the P’rizi, the Hivi and the Y’vusi — as Adonai your God has ordered you; 18 so that they won’t teach you to follow their abominable practices, which they do for their gods, thus causing you to sin against Adonai your God. Then all the men of his town are to stone him to death; in this way you will put an end to such wickedness among you, and all Isra’el will hear about it and be afraid. “ Deuteronomy 20:16-18 y 21 CJB

It is interesting to contrast the old testament and law or torrah against some of the teachings of Yeshua. When reading today in Deuteronomy it went into detail of killing anyone caught in adultery. Yet when the Jews brought a woman caught in adultery, Yeshua said “let he who has no sin cast the first stone.” And at the same time, Yeshua would say “I only do what the Father tells me to do.”
So if the Father, Adonai said to stone them to death, and Yeshua is doing the Fathers will, then how did he let the woman caught having sex live?
There are so many things like this in the bible which according to the men teachers is the word of God. But when you ask a question like this one above of 10 men teachers you will get 10 different answers. It is one of many issues with making a book called a bible your word of God, because Yeshua never made scripture the word of God. He and his disciples said he is the “word” of God.
So when you come to know the “word” personally and let him be your teacher (Matthew 21) then he will tell you the truth or righteous answer. Which in man’s doctrine they either support one of two doctrines indirectly with many variations. Either a works and obey the law doctrine, or in most cases because it is easier to follow, the saved by grace, once saved always saved doctrine. And like the Sanhedrin and Pharisees arguing about reincarnation, so will the two sides argue against eachother quoting doctrine. And both sides can make their point with specific doctrine, most of the time a very vague verse leaving other verses out of the discussion which tell you it is a lie what they teach. And then in the end they accuse you of following the other side. If you are telling them you are saved by our works (see Rev 20:12-13). Then they accuse you of being a legalist ad then are under the law which you will perish if trying to follow the law and obey it. Which is partially true.
However if you are talking to the legalist who says we are to follow the law, and tell them you can never obey the law by trying to follow it, you need to hear and obey Yeshua, and let his real grace do its work, they argue you are a grace doctrine thumper.
But never do they seek the truth and find it lies somewhere in the middle yet has nothing to do with either doctrine. Because the truth is we must be righteous and Holy and the truth is the only way to do this is not by reading the law and trying to obey it, because no man can. What Yeshua did when he came and died was open the door to Heaven and sent the Holy spirit back into the world so those who seeked him and his Spirit would find him. Which means we hear him and obey him. Not the bible or the law, but him, Yeshua and his righteousness. And in doing this we receive the grace of God who then covers the sin we lived in in our past life and sets us free of future sin so we do not do it anymore, how does he do this? Because we hear him and obey him, and he only tells us to do righteous works, not evil ones. So as long as we do obey him and his instructions to us personally we will walk in righteousness and not in sin. There is no sin in righteousness so this teaching of their god (which is an idol, although they think we are all serving the same god). Their god tells them he does not see their sin anymore and all their works are righteous in the eyes of god. But then that god does not exist, because the real God Adonai and his son Yeshua expect you to do things their way, to do the good works you were created to do. And those works are pleasing to Adonai and worthy of redemption and salvation.
The Lord keeps showing me every day how evil people are, even though we see ourselves as good and a man like me as evil because I do not support or agree with their evil ways. Because the truth and way of Yeshua is not the same as their way of man, never has been never will be. And this is why we need a savior, a teacher who teaches truth. The same one the Jews put to death and the same ones the christians put to death with their doctrine. A different death because it is not a physical death, but the same outcome because you do not worship and honor the King of Kings, the Lord Yeshua. You instead worship your idea of a religious bible god or whatever religion maybe Islamic or Buddha or even atheist. Even atheist have a belief system god which is the big bang theory or whatever nonsense.
So back to the point, why is a little different now? Why now are the weeds to grow with the wheat until the harvest? The difference is simple, before Yeshua there was no Spirit to guide a man, so he must focus on the torrah and obey, and Adonai had to have harsh penalties in order to keep them focused. And the lesson from this is if a country is going to be run correctly without sin and lawlessness, they must run it with strict laws and penalties. Otherwise what’s to stop the people? If I were a Jew back before Yeshua, they would have stoned me to death on more than one account if I happened to get away with it the first or second time. The guess is 99% of us would have as well. But then if I were a Jew at the time, I most likely would have been a lot stricter in my obedience to the law not allowing myself to vary from it knowing the way of God and the serious penalty.
Today it is normal to sleep around or be gay without anyone getting stoned to death. It is easy to bear false witness and or lie about another man without anything happening, and actually the opposite if you say anything against a man who is in the wrong and even if you have proof then you are the one they go after. Even with posting something like this, not directly saying anything about anyone or judging anyone but simply explain the truth Yeshua shows me. They can come after you.
So the point is if a country has stricter laws, the sin and lawlessness is much less. If the US had harsher penalties for drug users, put them in jail for 10 years if caught with drugs, and kept the drugs out of jail. We would have no more users in a short time frame. They either would stop using for fear of going to jail, or go to jail and sober up before getting out, but either way it is a matter of time before it ends, and a short time at that. Also the cost of this would be much less than fighting cartel, the cartel would be out of business quickly if there was no end user. And trumps push of how many Americans (like they are innocent) die because of the cartel would stop. If you are in jail or stopped using, you cannot die from the drugs.
But we do not do it like Adonai would do it, because our country lives on the new doctrine of grace and protecting the sinful people in the grace. And the laws of the land are getting more and more relaxed, and the ones doing serious evil escape the law because they make the law. And their law is designed to make us sick, take our money, and in the end kill us off. All the while pushing a lawless nation as being good with their god because after all we are not to judge.
And according to Yeshua and Adonai we have that right to follow whatever god we want to follow. Even the nations around the Jews had their gods and the Lord did not destroy them unless they came up against the Jews, however Adonai also told the Jews do NOT have anything to do with these people and their gods or I will destroy you. There were also many times he told the Jews to go into their land and kill them all, even women and children because they worship false gods and make sacrifices to their gods with killing people, and many pagan worshipping’s.
This last statement aligns more with the way it is with Yeshua, because he allows us to make our mistakes when we were not born again, and basically we are treated the same as the foreign nations. We worship our pagan gods who are taught to us by pagan men leaders. And we make big mistakes causing us and those around us a lot of problems and money. But those sinful problems are also what in the ends causes those of us who seek the Lord to come to know him, because in our suffering we seek him for some peace. If it was not for my ex to take my older girls from me, and other things that happened like losing my career and money all at the same time. I never would have seeked the Lord and been humbled. You must be humble to hear and obey the Lord, otherwise we think we have the better way to live. In our prayers to our pagan god we tell him what to do for us and how to do it. Where a humble man before God prayers, Lord your Kingdom come and your will be done, show me your will and way and I will obey. And then let it play out according to his will and be joyful in it, even though much of the things he puts us through are not fun. But we can remain joyful because we know these short term problems are working in us a glory that far outweighs it all.
And I have lived long enough in obedience to Yeshua to see this happen over and over in my life. I simply hear and obey and it seems to go against me at first, but then something always happen where it turns for my advantage. But as much as anything, we are not to have anything to do with men who do not follow righteousness. As the world becomes more and more corrupt, making the innocent and righteous the bad guys. The more I want nothing to do with it and its people. I prefer to be alone with God, the true God Yeshua and obey him. And keep fishing for men who want the same. The problem is to find those men, because many will follow for a short time (see John 6:66) but turn away and walk away when the commands of Yeshua get to hard like the rich young ruler.
Couple of examples |I recently have been dealing with or did deal with. First one is my aunt who thinks I am very wrong because I will not take my dad to his catholic church to worship the idols and all the adultery in it. In her religious views I am hurting his spirituality, where in mine I am doing the opposite and obeying the Lord who said do not worship or pray or bow down to anything other than the Lord God…
Second dealing with my dad and mom and their health. If they had listened to me some 20 years ago and changed their diets, my mom would not have died from cancer, costing the family pain and the system millions of dollars. Including the suffering she endured. My dad cost the system millions also because of his stroke and a bunch of additional mini stroked because of his diet. Now I am responsible along with my sister to do things for him and pay his bills and even whip his but at times, something not fun to do. Why? Because they did not believe me and how it works with God and food, but instead believed the world. Even up to their deaths (my dad is still alive but has not changed). He still follows his catholic idols and pagan gods. He eats better now and I can report in the last 3 years since moving here he has not cost the system one penny, never once in the hospital again, and we got him off most of his meds, the few he still takes we pay cash for. But even with this evidence of a right way to do things and live, they still do not repent and see the truth. At first I brought dad into my home when he moved here, but because of his sin we had to move him out to a home. And I do visit him a little here and there, and do what I have to for him. But do not let him into my life much to share in his sin.
A few of the owners here in my condo project also have cost me plenty of problems, but there is always something to learn and work out in me from it. Not sinful things, just little details at this time. But it also shows me why to keep my distance from the people who live and remain in their sin, and these days serious selfishness. The people today at all ages are extremely selfish and demanding and expecting you to spend your last penny and do your last deed in their way or else you are not a chrsitian. Well that is true, I am not a chrisitan, I follow the Lord Yeshua, and he tells me clearly to have nothing to do with the un repented man who throws around their biblical or religious ideology which is not built on him and the rock. Because of our selfishness and lack of wisdom or light, we can easily take bible verses and make our selfishness right in our mind. Making the righteous the bad guys, just like the Jews did against Yeshua with their doctrine and traditions, which neither was of God anymore and why Adonai sent the prophets and even his son to set them straight. But they did not want to be set straight so they killed them all, or most of them.
The problems in this world are mounting big time. And many or all of them have a eerie end of times feeling with them. Maybe it is and maybe it isn’t. But either way there is some serious problems coming because God does see the sin of the people and he still sends punishment to those who disobey, just like he did me. Just like he did my mom and dad, and what I see in other people around me. The difference is will you repent when the calamity comes like I did and seek the Lord Yeshua? Or will you just chalk it off to what is normal in life and simple bad luck or bad family genes?
One last example, my father in law. He lays basically dead in the hospital, dying from his life and how he lived. A man who drank, smoked, chased women, beat his family and did not provide for them but spent the money on hookers. And the only one who has enough compassion for him is my wife. And or money to help him as the brothers and sisters spend their money foolishly and have none. And even with that they do very little to nothing to help out in any way they can. Now some of it is justifiable because why would they want to be there for him when he needs them if he was never their when they needed him? But it makes the point, those who obey the Lord are the ones who do the work the Lord expects. My wife is very much like mine with her dad as I am with mine. She helps as she needs to, and I know the Lord is teaching her many things from it. But she also keeps her distance because of his un repented heart and sinful ways. She knows his current health is all because of his stupidity in how he lived. And continues because he refuses to repent. It is sad to me these men in their pride have never once said anything about being sorry for what problems they caused and being grateful for all we do for them. They just see it as a normal part of life. When God is very clear if you obey him you will not suffer the plagues or sickness the pagans suffer. Those of us who obey him in all ways die one of two ways. They either kill us because of him, or we die an old age. For me I could care less to die either way, as long as I remain living in the Messiah and his truth and way. And keep my distance from the pagan religious doctrine of unrighteous sinful men.
