Those who love your Torah have great peace; nothing makes them stumble. Psalms 119:165
How happy is the way of those whose life is blameless, Who live by the torah of Adonai. How happy are those who seek his instruction, who seek him wholeheartedly. Psalms 119:1-2
It is for my good that I have been humbled; it was so that I would learn your laws. The Torah you have spoken means more to me than a fortune in gold and silver. Psalms 119:71-72
Am I becoming more and more in love with God as a holy God, or with the conception of an amiable Being who says, “Oh well, sin doesn’t matter much”? This is a quote from Oswald Chambers.
Before reading the Oswald quote The Lord put on my mind something I did not want to forget so I wrote it right away. Yeshua said very clearly that in order to Love God as a Holy God, you must know him. You must be called. You cannot make a decision to be like that. Read all of Psalms 119, it speaks exactly to this, hearing him and obeying him and his torah.
You cannot separate the two, God tells us when we listen how to obey his law, his law is about a way of living. Not just a bunch of rules to follow. Keep in mind David was a man after God’s own heart yet he killed many men. David was also the author of much of the book of Psalms.
Paul wrote that “no eye can see and no heart can fathom.” Our eyes and ears have to be opened by the Spirit of God, until then you only will follow a version of god your personal theology allows based on the doctrine you chose to follow. All of us have mini gods like this until our eyes are opened.
Our eyes can only be opened by seeking him, but it has to be with everything you have. “Knock and the door will be opened. Seek and thou shall find.” If you go to the Lord God, the true God with an attitude like the old lady with the corrupt judge begging for justice, eventually he will reveal it to you. But no one ever does that, they instead settle on an amiable god who never existed and who supports their lifestyle and sin. And a religion which matches it the best. But even inside that religion the “church people” have their own version of their god.
Back to the main point, which is easily summed up as you cannot understand God and how Holy He is and what he really expects, until you know him, you hear him and obey him. Normally this requires you to have gone through something extremely difficult, truly suffering in life. But the evil one has even counterfeited that by bringing us men counselors and the “church family” counseling us. We do not see the suffering as a call from God, we see it as some unnecessary but normal attack against us, one we simply patch up and go back to life after. We do not see the problems in life we have to deal with as a reason to seek the Lord.
This point has been made many times, but to use death and my uncle who just died. The warning signs were there for many years, being overweight and diabetic. Most people with something like this would do the same as him, run to the doctor and seek medicine. They do not fix the problems they mask them. And the funny thing is that masking many times is actually what kills the person, not the symptoms itself.
It is a perfect parable to what the Lord is about. When you recognize you have BIG problems, you have to make a choice. Do it run to the world’s alternatives to fix or mask the problem. The world will NEVER fix the problem, they just mask it or pretend it does not exist. On the other hand the Lord never pretends, he instead calls your attention to the underlying problem so you can make the changes to fix it.
In the case of someone like My uncle and diabetes, the Lord would show him proper nutrition and health so he could start eating correctly and put the proper nutrition in his body so it heals itself. If you have never read anything I have posted before, you might argue this is not possible, but it is more than possible. I can give a lot of examples, but using my dad who came here 3 years ago, fat, diabetic, high blood pressure, and other health issues including a big one, a stroke. All I did was change his diet and now he has NO diabetes, high blood pressure nor is grossly fat. Before with the meds he was in and out of the hospital, since being here, never once. Before he cost the US tax payers through medicare millions, since being here, not one penny. Unfortunately we can not reverse his stroke except through the power of God, but my dad believes in his saints and catholic religion too much to have any kind of faith to heal him. And it is this religious belief which also keeps him suffering these things he has no reason to suffer and caused the stroke in the first place.
Keep in mind my dad had a lot of signs something was wrong before the stroke. He was on all the meds already for blood pressure and blood thinners… Things he no longer takes. He ran to his doctor for all these things and all his friends and family (except me) applauded his efforts. Like a cow to the slaughter, so does a man go to his follies. And we do not see it! We do not see the things we run to for help are the same things that are killing us and putting our souls in hell.
The interesting thing is to break any of these beliefs is impossible with just talk. I can throw bible verse after bible verse and tell people the truth. But it is as if I am speaking a foreign language. They really believe that God’s way is the way they are doing things, and he is happy with them because they all support each other in their sins and dysfunction, yet do not believe it is sinful. They see it as poor little old me instead of how foolish I am to live like this when there is a better way to live. When you look at the fruit I bear (which is my works or outcome). It is good, extremely good. Yet no one sees it and seeks for the same. They remember the man I used to be and in their minds many see me the same. As if a man cannot change, because they do not want to change.
Many ask the question as to why God allows all the dysfunction and sinful activities in this world? A few points.
First, where would God draw the line? Is the sin of killing a man worse than my sin of getting drunk, cursing, sexual activity? Is God supposed to only take out the murderers and thieves and leave men like me when I walked in the flesh?
It is easy to judge according to men, like as long as I did not kill anyone by driving drunk (which I could have easily). Then my drinking and driving is acceptable, unless of course I got caught by the police, then I paid a price. In the world we pay a price according to man made laws about them. And those laws change over time and from one country or state to another. For example it used to be a crime to take even one piece of gum from a store without paying, now in California you can walk out of a store with merchandise as long as it is under $1,000 dollars without punishment. In the eyes of God you are still in sin, but man’s not so much anymore. The point is where do you draw the line to remove the suffering in this world? It would be in his rights to remove us all because we all have fallen short of his glory, or his perfect ways to live, at least until we repent and start to do it his way. This lifetime is not eternity, it is a battle ground for your soul, and what decisions you will make for your life, mostly your eternal life. This life is a blink of an eye, it is nothing compared to eternity.
So God leaves us all here together in this lifetime to allow us to sort ourselves out. Will we be a sheep or a goat? Will we repent or remain in our sinful ways?
Also keep in mind the purpose for the dysfunction in our lives is to tell us something is wrong. God wants us to repent and turn from it when the real suffering comes. However satan wants us to remain in it, seeking counseling from any man, but not from God. Both God and satan use the same life experiences to achieve their ultimate goal. Your soul! And the decision as to which one you give it to is up to you. Will you repent and turn from the sins? Or remain in them and seek men for your help?
In heaven there will be no one who is lazy, lives in dysfunction and lives a life in any “way” other than the Lord’s “way!” NO ONE! Which one will you be? One of them that repents and turns from your ways to God’s perfect “WAY” to live your life. Or remain in the world running to different worldly men for help, thinking these men are doing gods work when they are doing the devils?
On a bit of a different subject, because of things Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 7 about being married or getting married and not doing so. It is confusing to me because how? I am not saying we all should get married, and I am not arguing with Paul’s point of how we split our affairs between trying to please a wife and God. I can tell you my wife and I have had many arguments because of her expecting me to do something a certain way, and the Lord telling me not to. And my point to her has always been do you want me to do it your way or the Lord’s way? No matter her response I always did it the Lord’s way. And in the end she let it be.
This is the real point however, God brought her into my life. I seeked God’s will after my divorce, and plainly said I would remain single and be a missionary if you wish. And I really believed that was going to be my life, single and a missionary. Then how would I have the son he promised me of my own flesh and blood? And adopt the girls we adopted? I could never have adopted in Mexico without a wife.
As much so is the fact that the relationship with my wife is one of the main things that has helped me to understand the will of God. And also to bring my wife into his will and understanding. If I had taken Pauls writings as the “word” and remained single. Much of the teachings of God would not have applied to me. I would not have learned them.
Lastly keep in mind that the disciples truly believed the end of times were on them, so they were not thinking of future generations some 2,000 years down the line.
This makes a point, when we listen to the Spirit and because of our own view points from our religious doctrine. We many times come to the wrong conclusion. Many times, especially early on, I have misunderstood the Lord in areas of my life. The devil is cunning and can seem like the voice of God. So one must be careful. And this is the main reason for the gathering of the real church, so we learn from each other about what is God and what is the enemy or adversary speaking. The gathering is not about entertainment with good music and funny men teachers cracking jokes, telling our itching ears what we want to hear.
Many of Pauls letters were speaking directly to a group of people as well. Things other established churches were not dealing with. The point being is not everything in the bible is applicable to you. We must let the Spirit show us according to his perfect will. And the laws of the old testament applied to the Jews with the Jews, not with outside evil nations worshipping false gods and sacrificing their children to them. Because if he told them to kill everyone and take the spoils, he expected them to do it. If the other nation was not evil like that, he told them to make peace with them. The Jews had to obey the voice of God and his commands directly to them. Not the law which said do not kill or steal.
So the question is do you follow the Spirit which helps you to uphold the law according to Gods perfect way? Or do you follow a fake grace. Or a law which applies to everyone including the evil men who do extreme harm to us? Because these evil men who are stealing your health, your wealth, sacrificing kids and eating them, selling drugs to people and killing eachother… All these extremely evil things are happening and no one is stopping it. They pretend they are, they do a dog and pony show about epstein files in congress , or one for fauci… They capture one cartel guy and put him in prison and 10 more pop up worse than the last one. They make communism and those countries along with Iran, Cuba and others the problem, but are they? They do not stop the root problem, they are the root problem, so it just gets worse with one generation after another. And it will continue, so be prepared. The only way to prepare is being right with God.
