Then you will delight yourself in Adonai, and he will give you your heart’s desire. Psalms 37:4
The Lord Yeshua continues his teachings to me, this time the opposite of what I wrote about last night and how my daughter gave me a beautiful card and message about how she loved me the most and was grateful for helping her to be strong and ignore the people.
But today it was the opposite, one of my condo buyers was at it again, complaining about all the littlest details he thinks should be fixed and not lifting a finger to do anything. He complimented one of the other owners who got someone to clean up the jacuzzi so we can use it again after the winter months of leaving it sit. Which that part is fine, and I agree. I really agree because for one of the first times someone else actually did something around here except complain and expect me to do it.
And this is the point, what attitude do you have? Are you listening and grateful for what you have been given? Because with everything the Lord has done for me, it always has some suffering in it. But the suffering is designed to build you up and make you stronger, not weaker.
Using my daughter as an example. I could easily go to her school (like most parents do). And complain to the director and make it her deal to fix, as if she can control the kids anyways. But instead I have told the director not to worry about it, that it is achieving for my daughter a glory that will far outweigh itself. And this is the point, are you making yourself and family stronger by allowing them to go through things? Or are you making them weak and complainers always expecting someone else to do everything for you? And as with this guy it all has to be perfect. I do not think I have ever seen anyone as anal as him, to his credit or bad (not sure) he keeps all his stuff spotless. When you go into his condo everything is in its place. But he also expects everyone else to keep their stuff spotless, which will never happen. And he expects whatever we do to always weather the storms and remain perfect which will never happen.
When this guy once again sent the text complaining, the immediate thought in my mind was “this is why heaven is so perfect, there is no one complaining or doing anything wrong. Everyone allowed in are grateful people, ones who delight to do the good works of the Lord and receive his blessings from it.”
I also see things from the Lord’s point of why he does not hear their prayers, because they are selfish and about them and their ways. And not about what is right.
Adonai only listens to repented men, ones who have changed from the ideas of things like I used to believe that were told to me. Like “take care of number one, because no one else will.” And “what’s in it for me.” Things like that.
Adonai and Yeshua have a different way. Theirs is do not worry about yourself, focus on me and do my will and God will take care of you with the other details of life. God expects your complete surrender to his will, and to be grateful for the suffering you have to put up with, because it is through dealing with people like this guy that shows you how human nature is and why we must repent and change and do things God’s way. And then appreciate the way it is so when we get to heaven we do not have these same issues anymore. The suffering is as much a blessing as a curse, and necessary to achieve the glory that far outweighs it all.
So those of you who are “christians’ expect that God hears you in your fleshly sinner state, and will bring you to heaven because of what Jesus did on the cross, and you do not have to do anything. And you demand he agrees with your doctrine or covenant. That somehow you get to make the rules of your salvation and Jesus has to agree with them and your doctrine. And then pretend you are perfect in his eyes. I have news for you!
It does not work that way, he has the doctrine and truth you must obey. Yeshua has the new covenant already spelled out, you take it or leave it. But Yeshua will not modify it or change any part of it, nor agree to your ideology. And thank God for that!
I prefer to not see my friends and family in heaven if they do not repent, because I see their drama and problems they create in this life. I wrote about my mom before and the conversation I had with God a few weeks before she died about her going to heaven. But it is worth revisiting the conversation.
The first point God made was he does not allow unrepented people into heaven, and he showed me who she is or was. And I know who she was. Then he made it clear that this is why they do not get in, he does not allow anyone in who disrupts the peace. And I said, Yes I understand but it is my mom!” Then he said “how do I let your mom in and not other moms? Where would I draw the line?” And I understood the point, so then I asked God to “please do something like he did with me, bring some big issues into her life so she really seeks you and repents!” He said “look at her, what else do you think I can do to her to make her suffer to repent?”
I knew he was right, my mom looked like she was from the natzi camp, nothing but skin and bone. She had poisoned herself and was extremely sick, and yet up to the end the same attitude. Her last words to me were very sarcastic, that she was glad I could take some time out of my busy schedule to come see her. Again in a very sarcastic way like I owed her more than I gave.
This is the point, I hope anyone reading this gets it. We cannot please Adonai in the flesh, we must repent and be born again, and once we are we will have a different spirit and attitude, one that people will love to be around forever in heaven. One that does not cause problems or take anyone’s peace. A servant’s heart and not a demanding expecting heart, where everyone else has to do the work to make your life better.
You will delight yourself in Adonai when you seek him and do his will. If you read the rest of Psalms 37 it spells it out even better.
