There will no longer be any death; and there will no longer be any mourning, crying or pain; because the old order has passed away.” Revelations 21:4
If anyone hears what I am saying and does not observe it, I don’t judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. Those who reject me and don’t accept what I say have a judge — the word which I have spoken will judge them on the Last Day. John 12:47
“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so that they do not see with their eyes, understand with their hearts, and do t’shuvah, so that I could heal them. John 12:40
“The light will be with you only a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, or the dark will overtake you; he who walks in the dark doesn’t know where he’s going. 36 While you have the light, put your trust in the light, so that you may become people of light.” John 12:35-36
It was a very serious disease, yet even with this disease he did not seek out Adonai but turned to the physicians. 2 Chronicles 16:12
A lot of verses hit me today when reading, most of them seen above. Keep in mind when reading this post that God is a jealous God, he is also very demanding of us to do things in a certain way, he is all knowing and all powerful. He can do anything and make anything he wants to happen. And as summed up in the verse above about Asa in 1 Chronicles 16, we need to seek out Adonai and or Yeshua in all we do. And not to turn to men for our guidance. Men will always lead us astray and leave us very short of the Glory of God. It might be intentional because the other person has evil motives. Or it might be with the best intentions, but because they do not know God and his way and truth, it leaves you short. But either way, unless the one who is giving advice knows and hears God and then obeys him. His advice will be bad advice.
And a person like me who knows God will give advice like I did to a friend who talked to me just yesterday about a situation. What I told him in response is, you need to seek God and let him tell you how to handle it. But I had a similar experience and this is what God showed me. And I quoted him the bible verses God used to make his point. It is all about a story already shared of my daughters who do not speak with me, and when asking God what I should do, he said “look at the story of the prodigal son.” And I said “what does it have to do with me, I did not leave my daughters, they left me?” To which God said, “Look at the father, what did he do?” And I said nothing, to which God replied, “exactly, there is nothing you can do until they are ready.”
The point God made and is being made to this friend of mine is basically if the other person is not willing to change, there is no amount of arguing, no amount of giving, no amount of anything you can do to change their mind and do things the way you expect them to do it. All you can do is pray for them, hoping they also find the Lord and his truth so then they live in truth. Because even if they start doing what you think they should, the way you think they should. It is not the way and truth of the Lord and is not righteous living and perfect in him.
As a quick side note, this also ties into the Lord’s model prayer “forgive the trespasses.” As said before, because the Lord makes this point over and over, a trespass can be a sin as well, but also can simply be something someone does to you that you do not like. And staying in the Lord in his perfect will, you will trespass against people in the flesh all the time because you have to decide if you are going to support them in their flesh or stay in the truth of God.
This might not make sense to you know if you are living in the flesh because of the verse from John 12:40, which even this verse does not make sense to a man in the flesh and most believe it does not apply to them because they think they are “good people” And make good decisions. The problem is because we do not know God we have nothing to compare our decisions to, and by demanding our own way thinking we are right, we are normally very wrong. And we do not see how it affects us when we are wrong while thinking we are right.
A simple example, with my blood test came in a little off. I immediately knew what to do to fix it because of the wisdom God has shown me. My wife wants me to go to a doctor which I refused to because I know how doctors work and do not trust them to make me better but worse. Plus I know my Lord and God and no doctor is going to add a single second to my life, but the opposite. As it says above about King Asa, because he did not consult the Lord but instead consulted with men doctors, he died of the disease.
I do not need a doctor to put me on a toxic drug, I simply need to change the few things I am not doing 100% correct. And seek what they are from God, which I have already and continue to do. I know he will heal it he says so specifically in the other verse from John 12:40.
Hopefully by now you already see where the first two verses come into all this conversation. The second one about judging from John verse 47 says it all about what you will find on your judgment day. Yeshua did not come to judge and will not be your judge. You are your own judge by your actions or works. Were they done in the Lord because you know him and obey him so he can heal you? Or did you run to men to try to heal you? Because a man cannot heal you, they only mask the problem with drugs and therapies and counseling. Yeshua’s counseling in his truth will heal you completely, not just kick the can down the street and make you worse.
Which brings back the same point. When you speak these truths it creates conflict and division with other people who have their own ideas of right and wrong and what should be done. My wife is trespassing against me and I against her in her telling me what to do and me telling her no way and wanting to do it God’s way instead, trusting in him and not men doctors. I forgive her trespass, and hold no grudge at all. Same with anything else she does against my will (which is the Lord’s will, as his Kingdom come and his will be done, in my life). Do you forgive or hold a grudge when people do not do things your way? Even if in a sinful and or harmful way to you?
This is where the conflict comes, where we seek out our own will and so does the other person, maybe your spouse, a c=son or daughter, mom or dad, friends or enemies. Again, it can be sinful but most of the time it is not, it is just frustration because the one person seeks a different way to do things than the other and gets upset over it. The Lord is telling you clearly not to do that. But to forgive those who trespass against you as you wish them to forgive you.
The ultimate goal of God is to get all of us to know him and obey him. And those who do then receive what is written in the first verse about no more crying or death or pain and suffering because the old way has passed away and a new way then happens. BUT, and this is a BIG BUT. When this day happens or even when your day of judgment happens. Only those who received the Spirit and know him and obey his voice as spoken to them directly, will be saved. Many believe they received the Spirit because of baptism or confirmation or a singers prayer or whatever man made doctrine tells them. But they have not. Even once I started to hear God speak to me, I thought that was it. I now had the Lord as there were changes in me. From that moment my foul mouth stopped, no more using God’s name in vain. But I still had a long ways to go to get rid of other sins in my life. And once I defeated them all, some with the help of the only one who can set you free. The Lord Yeshua. Then I received the Spirit because I had washed myself clean in the blood of the lamb. It was then and only at that moment that I understood what it meant to be born again and receive the Holy Spirit. And you will not know it or understand it until you also have been washed clean in the blood of the lamb and put on your wedding garments.
It all starts with seeking God’s voice, then hearing him and obeying him until he helps you work out that last detail he is working in you. A person in the flesh making decisions based on all the things they learned over the years from other men, has no idea that their ways are not good in the eyes of God no matter how good the intentions are. Anyone making their own decisions like this are not relying on the Lord for his guidance, and like Asa, it leads to death. The Lord also talked about light again today and how he is the light and we need to do our work in the light while we still can before it becomes dark and no one can do the good works of the Lord.
I think we are close to that point, but have not yet hit it. So what are you going to do, remain in your own ways or seek the will and way of God? The old o
