This is the point of the Lord, we all are seeking for our own comfort and entertainment or success or whatever it is in the flesh. What we seek for is in us naturally and should be, because if it is not then we would never seek for God and to do what is right to secure our eternity. That is not the problem or dilemma, and actually if you do not have this, then you are like the lazy wicked servant with the talents who was bound hand and foot and thrown out into outer darkness. In other words we must not be lazy.
The problem becomes what are you seeking or more so how? Is it for fleshly reasons or reasons to draw you closer to God and your salvation?
Yesterday my dad and I had a conversation about our kids and sports. My oldest two daughters were very good in sports, especially the second one. Now at 35 years old I look back and what did it gain them? Yes it helps them mature and they all have good jobs but past that what do they have?
I look at our kids now and especially my son who is very athletic. He is tall and big for his age, very quick and fast. He would be a great basketball player or tight end or receiver in football. He does not seem to like sports however. And he is the smartest kid in his class, and currently working on learning a story to tell in public a competition .
Here is the point of it. My wife’s focus on it is very different than mine. And her being a very emotional woman, it gets her all worked up when he does not do things the way she thinks they should be done. It is a long story full of many characters, and he is having a hard time remembering it all, plus then remembering how to say it with different voices and different changes in costumes. She is putting a lot of time and energy into this as is he. Keep in mind he is the one they choose because he is the best, but he is also only 7 years old and like most 7 year olds has a hard time sitting still like she wants him to.
Me on the other hand, I could care less because I know this is nothing that is going to end in his salvation. Also in my observation of watching other kids, will it lead to success in life. I watched my wife do the same with her older son, and he has absolutely no motivation other than his music which has not materialized as of yet, so he struggles through life. And if his music does well, it is something that will probably take him down and away from God. Over and over I have seen the most successful kids in school be nothing in the world and lost. Where people like me who sucked in school but think in different ways, more logical ways according to God have done well in life.
Not long ago, in a debate with a guy about universal health care in the US, he attacked me because I am just a real estate agent and know nothing about how things work. Very men spirited the way he said it. I let it roll off, but could have destroyed him about it. Because I know way more about how the health care system and financial system works than he does. Because if he really understood health insurance and who benefits from it both as is and with a government sponsored program (which we do have already in Medicare and medicaid). And then understood the true cost of it, because those programs are much more expensive than what we have now. It is just the government hides the true cost, and those true costs are higher in the government than other ways.
This guy I believe is a counselor of some sort, so he has man made knowledge which makes him feel superior to a man like me. But the other side is he knows nothing about how governments and business function and makes bad decisions because of it. Decisions which makes things worse instead of better. Keep in mind the powers of this world know what they are doing and they suck you in with free stuff, which cost you a lot more in the future. For the first few years it actually works out great. For example with free health care, there are no claims on day one, so any premium is cash in pocket. But it is not long, a few years. Where the claims start to mount up because everyone is using it. And then the cost go up, the government either increases taxes to pay for it or prints more money which drives inflation a lot higher.
The reason for the huge increases in the cost of living these days is because of all the money printing since obama and 2009 QE programs, but it was kicked into high gear after the 2020 lockdowns and stimulus checks. When the free checks came in the mail from biden’s days it was great and everyone went out and bought stuff. But now those same people are paying for it in food prices and many other items. The elites know this and how it works.
But this is the main point, no matter if my wisdom is best or the guys knowledge from a doctorate. Is what you are doing making you Holy and Righteous in the eyes of God to work out where the true and righteous ways are being performed. Are your works in God or your own fleshly demands which end up weak. Because with this man demanding and pushing free health care sponsored by the government. If he was successful and took care of his body as a temple of the Holy Spirit, like I do. Then why do you need health insurance at all? I have not had it for over 10 years nor will I get it anytime soon. I do not see the need to pay for all these lazy people who do not take care of their health with a health insurance plan, especially a government funded one where real fraud is involved. I would prefer to spend that money helping a fellow brother in Yeshua out “IF” they had something like a car accident and needed financial help. But I will never want to pay for anyone to allow themselves to be fat and get diabetes or cancer and then turn to the worldly health care programs who give them expensive drugs and make them worse. To pay into that system is just giving money to the enemy if you see it from the eyes of God and what they are doing to the people and what is supposed to be the temple of God.
The funny thing is I used to sell health insurance and had it for years and even believed it was something of God and he expected you to have it. But now that I know God and how he works it is the opposite. Paying taxes and paying into medical plans and anything like it is supporting the man made fleshly satan ruled system.
When Yeshua said to give to Cesar what is Caesar and God what is God’s. He was saying that there are some man made laws and ways you cannot avoid and have to participate in. But there are also many you should not or it jeopardizes your salvation, like getting the mark of the beast when it comes out. The thing I have found is if you do things right you can make a lot of money tax free, and thereby not supporting the beast system. But there are things you must pay taxes on which then support the beast system. The key is to understand what and how through the wisdom that is given by God.
Keep in mind Solmon was the wisest man ever, no college education or doctorate degrees, but no man ever accumulated the wealth and wisdom he did. His story makes the point, along with some of my personal life experiences that I then allow God to teach me on. Like the stories above.
One last point which ties into this and the Lord had on my mind. Which is how Solomon with all his wisdom and doing things or his works in a way pleasing to God, then changed towards the end of his life and went after idols. The same with King Asa, who at the end of his life chose to do things his way in two examples in 2 Chronicles including seeing a doctor for his disease instead of consulting with God about them. In both cases they seeked wisdom from God and received it and did good in his sight, but at the end of their lives they both stopped.
It is a reminder we are only as good of a person as our last works. Were they done in God or of ourselves? And done so up to our last breath. Because we will be judged by our works from the point we choose to obey and receive the Spirit of God (if we ever do). Or follow the ways of the world and our flesh. And “IF” you are one of the few who choose the Spirit, were your works done in the truth Yeshua shows you all your days or did you turn back to the world and its ways?
