So how is it that you turn back now to those weak and miserable elemental spirits? Do you want to enslave yourselves to them once more? I fear my work in you has been wasted? Galatians 4:9-11
There is an old saying the Lord keeps putting on my mind, which is “the Lord moves in mysterious ways.” But it is not entirely true, it is actually the opposite, man moves in mysterious ways. The Lord is the one who created it all, he knows the best way to live. We are the ones who keep doing it our own stupid way which is never going to be his way. So then we blame him for being mysterious when it is us, not him, that is mysterious.
The verse above from Galatians, I have never seen it translated exactly like this before, so it really caught and spoke to me. The short is we follow weak evil spirits all the time and do not know it. The biggest trick that the evil spirits use is making us believe they do not exist or that they are not involved in our life and decisions. However, they are cunning and can trick us into doing things, and or even overpower us to do things. In my old days in sin, they used to make me do somethings I did not want to, it was weird how I felt like I was out of my f=body looking in on my flesh doing things I knew I should not.
It was those experiences along with some moments when I woke up in the middle of the night and saw demons. One time one was right above me as if ready to pounce on me or in me. When I saw it it disappeared. Another time I saw one in the hallway entering our room. I also used to see signs of evil spirits in my ex wife. These things happened before I even knew the Lord. It was a bit scary and at the same time interesting. Being a catholic religious person, I had no idea how to handle these things. But as time went on and these things drove me to a divorce eventually. And then a lot of terrible things happened to me when going through the divorce all at once. Like losing my job, all my money while racking up big attorney fees. Then my girls stop seeing me. Having to move back in with my parents for a while. These things destroyed my ego, my self confidence and left me as good as dead in spirit. Which was a very good thing, because it made me seek the Lord.
And then one day after seeking him for months, he woke me up in the middle of the night and spoke to me. It surprised me because no one ever said anything to me about hearing the Lord speak and obeying him. It seemed a bit crazy to me. His first comment to me was “why are you not doing my will?” No small talk, no words of how much he loved me or was proud of me. Just “why are you not doing my will?”
I really did not have an answer for him, nor did it seem I was supposed to, because he knew why, he knows everything. It was not a question to answer for him because he wanted to know. It was a question for me to make me think and seek. I seemed to know this even without knowing it.
Also at the time I would have never understood anything about what Paul was writing above about elemental spirits. But as time went by, and I heard more and more from the Lord and started to have him be my teacher and not man. I started to understand the difference between evil spirits’ messages and those of God. I started to understand the will of God and that of my will or evil spirits. It was the truth that only Eyshua can show you that set me free or changed me to where I stopped sinning. Although the last sin that had a hold on me had to be broken by the Lord setting me free, it had too much power over me.
Back to the verse, because now I understand it completely. We have no idea we are not thinking of ourselves, and that spirits in our mind influence us. Most are evil, but there is the Holy Spirit also. We have to have some wisdom in order to understand this, and then we must choose to know and obey the Spirit of God over the evil ones who we do not choose but they are there, influencing us and causing us to make bad decisions.
When Yeshua says over and over to look at your fruit, it is the way we gauge which spirits we are following in our lives. If it is good fruit you should keep listening to that Spirit because it is the Holy spirit. If bad fruit, it is because the evil spirits have something on you. A good tree (good Spirit) cannot bear bad fruit and a bad tree (evil spirit) cannot bear good fruit, you will know them by their fruit.
I have had a few people who listen to what I see and start down the right path with God, and turn and go back. As Yeshua said, if you do this you are not worthy of the Kingdom of God. And in many cases the demon who left you comes back with 7 more so the state of that man is 7 times worse than before.
Recently Yeshua has been showing me John 12:35 “ “The light will be with you only a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, or the dark will overtake you; he who walks in the dark doesn’t know where he’s going.” And another one this morning from 1 John 2:1 “My dear children, I write these truths to you so you will stop sinning. Yet if anyone falls into sin, we possess an advocate with the Father—Yeshua the Messiah, the Tzaddik, who stands up and defends us before Him.”
This last verse gets twisted all the time and allows for you to follow elemental spirits. The purpose is to tell us that when we follow the Holy Spirit, we will not fall into sin, it is not possible. BUT if it happens, because it can and has in my life. Yeshua will tell the Father and work it out in our life. The religious people use it as a reason to be able to keep sinning, like the James Bond license to kill, they have a license to sin. This doctrine comes from these evil spirits. The true worshippers worship in Spirit and truth, and they do everything possible including seeking the power of the Lord Yeshua to set them free from sin, not accept it and seek a lawyer to defend them. The few times I have fallen short I feel terrible and do not want that feeling anymore in me. The other doctrine makes you numb to sin and you do not feel bad or regret it so you keep doing it.
The other funny thing is how the saved by grace people quote the verse about practicing sin. But they do practice sin. Whatever their sin is they do, they do the same 2 or 3 or whatever ones over and over. They do not kill a man one day, swear another, cheat another, lie the next… If they are a liar they lie, if they are a cheater they cheat. If they are a murderer they murder. No man practices all the sins, just certain ones, so the two questions they need to answer (not to me or God because we know the answer already). But the first one is “if you are doing the same sins over and over, how is that not practicing sin?” And second one “how do you ignore the part of the verse that says we will no longer sin, but can see the part about having a lawyer without a problem?
The wording is clear yet people do not see it. It does not say anything like “when” it says “if”. If is a word that means it might not ever happen. “When” is a word that it is going to happen, just when, not if.
The religious people do not see this because the spirits they follow keep them blind to it. I have had conversations with truths like this before, and the people cannot answer them and either ignore it like I never asked it and go on with a different subject. Or start quoting this or that man teacher who explains it away. But they never stop and seek the truth in it. If they did seek the truth they would find it in Yeshua, when we seek we shall find. What do you find? The Holy Spirit of God, the same Spirit that was in Yeshua. And that Spirit “takes what the Father tells him and whispers it into our ear and leads us into all righteousness…” There is no sin in righteousness. Although as said many times man can find fault in anyone as they did even in Yeshua.
The biggest problem the Lord keeps showing me these days is the delusion, the lie the people are following thinking they are good with God in their sin and everything is OK. Salvation is theirs. But it is not, and they will not find this truth out until they die and meet the Lord and then it is too late. Like the story Yeshua told about the rich man and Lazurus, and how the rich man was in hell and Lazurus was in heaven with Abraham. The rich man wanted or asked to go back to warn his brothers, but was not allowed to, Abraham told him they have the prophets to listen to and repent. But the rich man said, but they won’t listen to them.
I keep doing as the Lord tells me and warning the people about the coming judgment and how to make sure you are on the good side of that judgment. And also how it gives you a much better life while still living. Not a life without problems, but a life with being able to handle the problems and deal with them in peace, the peace of God. The stories I share are to help understand what that life looks like. How God works so it is no longer mysterious. But instead you start to understand how the evil spirits work, and how the Holy Spirit of God works. And so you can follow the Holy Spirit instead.
